  1. Is there a way to easily move the location of the External Cargo Indicator? I use 3 monitors and TrackIR and glancing at the far right corner while trying to hover is pretty hard. The only method I have found of moving it is via editing the lua file. If there isn't an easier way, could we add that to the wish list? Thanks!
  2. Any chance of getting the updated Apache manual?
  3. You're welcome. Happy to help.
  4. Been flying the Mig now for probably a total of 1.5 hours, at least 6 different flights, restarted DCS at least 3 times. Logbook time still shows zeroes on everything. Really enjoying the plane so far. Well done.
  5. I'm really liking the new George Interface options. My issue is with the new realistic IFF that came with this update. Last night I flew over a veritable parking lot of enemy tanks. At first he determined a few were bad guys. Then he could never tell about the rest of them even after flying over the area from multiple directions at low altitudes and slow speeds, to include hovering probably 200 yards away. Note that the Early Access Guide page 593 says "When the Target List is displayed, the player may select specific Target List entries to direct George to focus the TADS at that contact. During this time, George will continue to perform Combat Identification and update the Target List accordingly as he works through each step of the identification process, which may be further enhanced by directing George to increase the TADS sensor magnification or change the TADS sensor to DTV (during daylight hours) while focused on a given contact." I did try that too. Could somebody offer some suggestions on things I could try? Perhaps their is a process I have missed? Edited to add... Okay, I re-flew the same mission. I seemed to have a lot fewer issues with George identifying targets. Zooming in with the TADS sensor magnification seemed to help more than it did last night. After reading the EAG again I had a better understanding of the different zoom levels. Rescanning the area occasionally seemed to help? I ended up with three tanks he couldn't identify until I pointed him to the area with the PHS. No issues after that. So I think I have a better idea of how to use him to identify targets but still open to suggestions. Thanks.
  6. I would love this capability!
  7. I like this idea! The other day I was landing a Chinook in a very remote area. The small dirt road had traffic that looked like an interstate highway. Would love to be able to reduce traffic in remote areas and increase it in urban areas.
  8. Anybody else still getting this? Had it happen twice last night. Sorry, track or anything to use to show it.
  9. I just finished reading 'Sweating the Metal' by FLT LT Alex Duncan and I am in the process of reading 'Immediate Response' by Major Mark Hammond. Both of these men flew RAF Chinooks in Afghanistan. Both of them talk about somebody, co-pilot I think or maybe crew chief, calling out the aircraft's speed and altitude while on approach. If something like this could be developed for the DCS Chinook I believe it would be helpful and also add to the in game immersion. Thanks, Jim

  10. After pressing CNI on the CDU and then selecting one of the radios on the CDU with the keys on the left hand side the top left option is presets. Before the last update, when you push 'presets' it would take you to another screen that had a list of preset channels for that radio. You could also enter new presets. Now, since the last update, when I press 'presets' I get a blank screen on the CDU. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jim
  11. [I figured it out. My issue is fixed. I had some odd key bindings in SRS] Are they still working? I can adjust the radio channels in the CDU. They show up correctly in SRS. But every time I transmit it transmits on the radio shown on the top of the SRS overlay. In this case that is channel 30. I am trying to transmit on 251.000. When I select this radio in SRS it looks like I have it selected but as soon as I transmit, it jumps back to 30. The Transmit Select Knob on the Control Audio Panel seems to have no effect on what channel I am transmitting on. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Jim [I was able to get it working this morning. I had some odd bindings in SRS that were messing things up. Just checked it out in multiplayer. There was nobody to talk to BUT the issue was fixed.]
  12. Any word on a time frame for this getting fixed?
  13. Thank you! For the record, for me it only works on Caucasus. I have also tried Germany, Syria, and Marianas.
  14. I've been spending way more time messing with this than I should but... 1. It seems like everything works on the Caucasus map. I can have embarking infantry mark with smoke and the smoke is visible. I can also have an overlapping, unrelated trigger zone. 2. On every other map I have tried so far I can have embarking infantry that work like they are supposed to EXCEPT their marking smoke is not visible. 3. On every other map I have tried so far if I add an unrelated trigger zone it seems to somehow block the infantry from doing anything. They no longer move to the embarkation point and they no longer respond at all on the radio.
