  1. Hey Folks, Curious if anyone using Ultraleap or VR in general has a VR keyboard they have implemented as part of their rig? I have a small hand-held keyboard I have on my kneeboard leg that I am trying to use, but without seeing the keys, it's kinda too small to hunt and peck. Any thoughts? I really want to use it as data input or chatting rather than keys. Or maybe even Voice to Text Options available? Thanks! -Chris Here's the mini keyboard I am using: null
  2. I second this. I do like having procedures when doing a cold start but there are tedious things like this I'd love to have a hot key for for when I am not feeling like complete sim immersion.
  3. @dangerzone definitely well put! I wonder if ED put together a script then the community could submit their voice acting skillz and sound files and we could have a bunch of voices and personalities that could be part of the game!
  4. Hey Folks, I'm using a Pimax Crystal Light HMD and Ultraleap's Motion Controller 2 in order to control my F16 Viper Cockpit. In general, I LOVE IT! Once I got a feel for where my index finger "triggered" buttons, they work pretty well and consistently. However, my heart starts palpitating when I eye that COM1 dial, or the multi selector knob for the countermeasures. The reason is because if I activate it, I have about a 10% chance of getting it to go where I want to without fussing over it for 3 minutes. I can see a potential solution for this. 1. I see the calibration sliders in the Leap Motion menu, but I have no idea how to use them. Additionally, it doesn't appear to be something I can manipulate while I am in the game to "calibrate" where my finger is in relation to the button. Having a calibration menu where we can see the hands, calibrate them in DCS, and then also a specific tutorial on how to manipulate all the common kinds of buttons, sliders, flippy floppies, and gizmos in the cockpit would be great. This is so immersive, and when it works it's the next best thing to being in the actual jet. I feel like there's still some work to be done to get these working the best they possibly can. Thoughts? -Chris

  5. I think this is a great idea, regardless of when an aircraft was made. Women have been flying planes since the very earliest days, and they should be represented. At the end of the day this is a simulator flown during modern times, and if people don't like the idea of female pilots on historical grounds I think that's hogwash, go make a server that you can put a No Girls sign up and keep to yourselves :). -Chris
  6. I have one of these for the Ultraleap 2 that I made for my Pimax Crystal Light that I can send a file for if anyone wants it.
  7. I've had a similar experience until recently. I don't know if anything happened with the updates but my hand tracking clicking works decently now. The thing I run into right now is how to manipulate dials. There doesn't seem to be a clear guide on gestures to say turn the COM 1 dial down in the F16 Viper, or change the Chaff/Flare Mode to Auto. Straight buttons and switches seem to work pretty well. I also don't see a way to "Live" tune the location of the tracking so that it's exactly where you need it to be. Overall I have been pretty satisfied with it, but I am adding some IR emitters to my rig soon to try and extend the range and light those hard to reach places for my hands. Haha yesss I ran into this issue, and I had to build a "rig" with nothing in front of me. My HOTAS is still in the way for just a couple buttons now, but muuuuch better if you can get yourself free and in the open. Interested to see your experience! I've enjoyed it. I just wish we had a play-space to practice in and fine tune it in DCS.
  8. Hey Folks, Running my Crystal Light on 4090 and really enjoying it. What I struggle with here is all the potential options and vectors to insert files here and tweak this stuff there to get better performance and graphics. Can someone here summarize where we are with how to implement both DLSS and DLAA using these tweaking methods discussed above? I see bits and pieces in the forum above but for someone who has little idea what they are doing it is really confusing me, and I imagine others as well. The folks who do know are way smarter than I am about this stuff and I am hopeful they can share their formulae for this stuff and maybe pin the thread? Thanks! -Chris
