I am still having issues with ILS landings in the A10-A. I created a mission to practice landing with a few armored vehicles for target practice. When I return, I select ILS mode by pressing "1" then fly to the assigned point about 2 miles out from the strip. I don't see anything on the HUD except the additional vertical velocity marker. I remember reading that the ILS markers are not the large vertical and horizontal lines that you see in the manual, but maybe a "course director" but I don't see that either (maybe I'm thinking of the F-15). Can anyone post a link or a screen shot that shows me what I should be seeing? Thanks

Anyone figure out the ATC "abort takeoff" bug. I cannot use ATC at all. When I select the airport, it sill asks if I want to "abort takeoff". I noticed this mentioned in November 2013 and I guess it is still not fixed?

Thank you. I was able to copy using the Save/load functions but I did run into some issues as discussed above. I'll have to try out each plane to see what happens. Just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong...

Is there any way to copy the keystroke/joystick configuration over to other aircraft instead of re-mapping each one?

Perhaps it's different on the F-15. I see the AOA information show up in landing mode but the flight path indicators are on the HSI only.

Thanks Lizzard. I ended up reinstalling everything with most recent download and things are working great. Started back by flying the F15 for some landing practice. Should I be seeing some ILS prompts on the HUD or just the ones on the HSI?

Tried this, but none of the inputs seems to be working. Joystick , keyboard, mouse or my trackir. Think I will completely reinstall. Previous install used old downloads. Don't want to spend hours downloading, but what can you do....

Hey everyone: Just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 64 bit and decided to give DCS a whirl- haven't played for about 12 months. Glad to see we don't need LOMAC anymore! Fired up a quick mission with A10 but my joystick is completely unresponsive. Looked at controls and joystick is recognized and all axis mapped appropriately. Not sure what's going on...

If I have the beta, is it updated to the retail version automatically? Doesn't seem like it did...

Is there a way to access the campaign missions? I had to exit a F15 mission early and I can't seem to refly it. Is there a way to access this mission through the mission editor to save it for future use, or edit it? Where are the campaign missions located? Thanks

Thanks again. I see the approach speed but not the "pattern altitude"- still trying to figure out that one. One other problem that I think is technical, but can't find in the list of bugs: when I choose BVR combat (#2), the radar is not on. Pressing "i" does not have it come on. I have to move to vertical or boresight scanning, then come back to BVR, and then it works.

A few more questions: 1. When you are in ILS mode, before you are lined up with the runway, is the flight director (little cross in the HUD) taking you to the approach point (AP)or the runway? 2. Is the distance shown on the right side of the HUD under ILS to the AP or runway? 3. What is the pattern altitude, i.e. what speed and altitude is best at the AP? Thanks. Trying to practice landings in heavy fog but keep having to cheat and look at the map!

Actually, the ILS indicators on the HSI seem to be working. Tough to keep looking down on my current set-up. Is there something I have to do to get the glide slope and directional indicators on the HUD?

Is there something you have to do to get the ILS glide slope indicator and directional information on the HUD? I choose the correct airport in ILS mode, but nothing seems to change when I line up with the runway.

Anyone know if ECM is modeled in the VNAO F/A-18 mod?

I recently installed the VNAO pack. Can you fly single player missions with the F/A 18? I guess I'm stuck with creating my own missions? I do see it as a highlighted flyable aircraft in the mission editor, but I don't see the FA 18 come up as a quick start option and I didn't find any downloadable missions. Wonder if there is a way to use the F18 in the Su 33 missions... I know this was intended for on-line use, but I honestly don't play enough. You wouldn't want to get stuck as my wingman! I'll have to check out the Su-33 but the Russian pits are a little intimidating...

Agree Have to agree on that one. Long time Falcon player, miss the multi-role fighter. Now I just alternate A-10 and F-15 missions, one of the advantages of a survey sim!
