  1. Tholozor's post in Can't find info anywhere. I see it everywhere. was marked as the answer
By default, when selecting the GRID option for MGRS coordinate entry for waypoints, the right DDI will initialize the 5x5 Square Identification Grid (SIG) centered on the aircraft's current position. If the REF WP option is boxed, the SIG will be centered on the grid of that waypoint.
  2. Tholozor's post in Unable to fire HARM in SP Pullback when in A/A mode was marked as the answer
HRM OVRD is forced off in A/A Master Mode, this is intentional so the pilot can use HARMs in Self-Protect without switching modes.
  3. Tholozor's post in What is up with the Harpoons?? was marked as the answer
Did you make sure to set R/BL for all the Harpoons loaded? Each station can have a different launch mode and program.
Otherwise post a track so we can look., could also be related to these:

  4. Tholozor's post in [INS][Multiplayer] Switching INS to IFA after a stored alignment on the ground displays IFA RDR and restarts alignment was marked as the answer
The mission date is set to 1987; GPS is not available.
If there is no GPS, the IFA position on the INS knob will command the in-flight alignment procedure instead of AINS.
  5. Tholozor's post in Annunciator Threat Lights Not Working was marked as the answer
These lights only illuminate under specific conditions:
RCDR ON should illuminate when the recording system is running (not implemented).
DISP should illuminate when the countermeasures are in semi-automatic mode, and ready to dispense with pilot consent.
SAM should illuminate when the aircraft is locked by a surface-to-air missile system.
AI should illuminate when the aircraft is locked by another aircraft's radar.
AAA should illuminate when the aircraft is locked by anti-aircraft artillery (Vulcan, Shilka, etc).
CW should illuminate when the aircraft is painted by a radar in continuous wave (usually a type of missile guidance).
You can also verify the lights will illuminate with the Lights Test switch.
  6. Tholozor's post in Syria Map AKR TCN error was marked as the answer
This is actually a recent correction of an old bug. TACAN channels will now show distance to DME stations on their paired frequency. It just so happens that channel 107X is paired with the VOR frequency 116.00MHz, which just so happens to also be the VOR/DME frequency at Damascus.

  7. Tholozor's post in Radar Bump mode [In Progress]- What is it? was marked as the answer
I believe the common term for it is 'Bump Acquisition.'
It's a method by which (when commanded by the pilot) the radar can reject the current STT trackfile for a period of time in order to acquire another trackfile for STT. The first trackfile will have an exclusion zone around it, preventing it from being locked again for a number of seconds.
  8. Tholozor's post in Rearm station 5/6/7in 2.9 was marked as the answer
This is correct per IRL payload restrictions. If a weapon is loaded on the centerline (station 6), stations 5 and 7 are not to be used. The opposite is also true, where if anything is loaded on stations 5 or 7, station 6 is not to be used.
  9. Tholozor's post in Holding expand/fov button w/ FCR Soi to have HSD zoom on player locks DCS up - Force close was marked as the answer
    Yep, reported thread over here:

  10. Tholozor's post in Aspect to target in A/A is broken and B-scope in TWS Auto was marked as the answer
I didn't see this in any of the changelogs, but it may be that TWS AUTO finally has centroid tracking, where it automatically biases the scan volume to maintain as many trackfiles as possible (provided the L&S is still within it, and regardless of DT2).
  11. Tholozor's post in 2.9 New INS Alignment Features was marked as the answer
CV CBL will happen automatically if CV RF is unavailable.
  12. Tholozor's post in Hornet Radar Range was marked as the answer
Probability of detection chance has been added to the Hornet and Viper, so you'll get low Pd at high ranges, but not outside the realm of possibility. More info in this newsletter: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/33d5516418549aa104164a508500a732/

  13. Tholozor's post in F-16 is broken or not? (update 2.9) was marked as the answer
    - Your FCR's data filter is set to FTR+, ensure it's set to ALL. COMM switch inboard short to change the filter selection.
    - For the second, this is a reported issue with ground units appearing due to an issue in the moving target rejection (MTR) filter:

  14. Tholozor's post in A/G radar not working was marked as the answer
Your A/G radar is in AGR (air-to-ground ranging) mode. Ensure the selected delivery mode is not CCIP or STRF.
  15. Tholozor's post in 130 lbs Ghost weight on a clean Hornet was marked as the answer
It's the weight of the LAU-116 ejector pylons on stations 4 and 6, each weighs 65 lbs.
  16. Tholozor's post in Countermeasures HOTAS controls in manual are incorrect was marked as the answer
The manual needs a bit of a rewording on the countermeasure switch logic (the EW section of the manual doesn't appear to have been updated since S/A and AUTO modes were implemented), but currently should work as follows:
    In MAN mode:
    - FWD initiates program 5.
    - AFT initiates the selected numbered program.
    In S/A mode:
    - FWD provides semi-automatic consent to dispense against the direct threat.
    - AFT initiates the selected numbered program.
    In AUTO mode:
    - FWD provides no function, dispensing is automatic.
    - AFT initiates the selected numbered program.
    In BYPASS:
    - FWD dispenses 2 chaff.
    - AFT dispenses 2 flares.
  17. Tholozor's post in How To CHANGE FPAS HOME WP Selection was marked as the answer
HOME selection and remaining fuel calculations on the FPAS page become disabled when indicated Mach is 0.9 or above.
  18. Tholozor's post in King of the hill mission defective was marked as the answer
Wait for the SEC caution light to extinguish before moving the throttle to idle. Engine RPM must stabilize at ~20%, not just reach it.
A track would also help us see what's happening.
  19. Tholozor's post in Add new wypt on HSI data while current wypt is boxed. was marked as the answer
Only way would be to switch off from CPL steering and use the dedicated heading hold or CSS mode for magnetic heading.
  20. Tholozor's post in Flare/Chaff dispenser program not working. was marked as the answer
Provided the Dispenser switch is in the ON position, the countermeasure switch on the throttle will initiate the selected program when pressed AFT, and the FWD position will always initiate program 5.
  21. Tholozor's post in cycling waypoints was marked as the answer
    Only via buttons.
  22. Tholozor's post in Mk-20 and CCIP was marked as the answer
If a TGT designation is present, release cues will always be AUTO, this is intentional. Undesignate TGT to revert to CCIP symbology.
  23. Tholozor's post in Threat Warning Aux Panel Lights. was marked as the answer

  25. Tholozor's post in Tpod gets stuck in some wired way, unless toggled standby and then ON was marked as the answer
Looks like you hit the gimbal roll limit. The pod's seeker gimbal can only rotate in each direction so many times, which is a common occurrence if the pod has to switch back and forth in pitch across the waterline (ends up rotating in the same direction with each pass). Setting the pod to standby cages the seeker and nulls the roll back to 0 (you can also accomplish this by toggling VVSLV).
