  1. Hallo!
  2. I just come back from a first test flight of the final release version, and I am totally amazed: It looks better, performs better and feels better!!! The new light effects (clouds draw shadows on the scenery, the improved HDR effect, the clearer and sharper look etc.) and the reworked flight model are outstanding. I already liked this sim, now I LOVE IT! I will definitely buy the TM HOTAS Warthog in the nearer future to make the immersion perfect! Thank you so much ED and TFC, that is very solid work!
  3. Thanks a lot! I installed the final release version and I loaded the profile in to the sim without any problems!!! Very good. And after a few tests, I have to say: outstanding work! Better look, better performance, better feel!
  4. lol! Ok, so, I´ll try to be very brave and go for it!!!
  5. So you think I should give it a try?!
  6. I use Jack Bauers X 52 profile, and I really got used to it. I still have Beta 4 and if this profile shouldn't work in the final release, I had no idea how to get all the keys assigned manually. I mean, there are tons of key commands, what would be the best method to assign the keys just like they are right now in this profile in Beta 4?
  7. Hi! Is it true that a profile (for X 52) and the corresponding key commands for Beta 4 won't work properly in the final version? I just got used to a specific profile, posted here by a user, so I would like to have the very same assignments in the final too.
  8. Ah, okay, then I know what you mean. I did another few tests, and when I hold down the weapon release button as soon as the timer starts (MAN REL appears on the HUD), it takes about 2 seconds and the bomb is being dropped automatically. So I think I got that! Thanks for your help!
  9. Thanks for your quick replies! Ok, so if I don´t wailt for 3 seconds until I release the button, I´ll get a hung store? @Cibit: I see the carrots and know what they mean, but I´ve never seen a countdown as with the MK 81/82 or the LGB in CCRP with JDAMS...
  10. Hi! When is the correct release time (when to press the weapon release button) for the JDAM in order to not getting a hung store? I thought from what I´ve read, it would be, as soon as MAN REL is advised in the HUD... Thanks in advance for clarification!
  11. Since I never used laser for designating yet, I will try out to mark the base of the target with area mode. And yes, RodBorza, it was the video made by ExcessiveHeadspace on YouTube that I was referring to when I first tried a multiple target designation with the TGP.
  12. Hi again! I created a mission and flew it 3 times. The 2nd and 3rd time weren't too good anymore. Here my observations: When I change the steerpoint with DMS fwd and aft while HUD is SOI, the corresponding steerpoint is already SPI, marked with the wedding cake symbol in the TAD. Same with the markpoints on my Maverick run. I change them, and SPI changes automatically, no need to hold TMS aft. And the other thing is, that when I designate the targets as markpoints from the distance (ca 10 miles, NOT moving targets!) and I switch between them, everything is spot on. Thereafter I make another turn to gain some height, and when I get into my final attack heading (may be in a slightly different angle as when marking the targets), the markpoints are all slightly off. Is that normal?
  13. Hmm, I´ll check the connection between the stick and the throttle next time the problem occurs.
  14. Here´s my feedback: It works! Perfect! No need for setting up a flightplan, just switch to Markpoints and here we go! Thanks a lot!
  15. Hi! Since I am practicing DCS Warthog quite intensively (for about 1 week now), I got an unknown problem from time to time: While flying, the led´s on the X 52 stick begin to flicker and any movement on the stick doesn´t have any effect in the sim anymore. Only thing I can do about it, is closing the sim, disconnecting and reconnecting the X 52. 5 minutes ago, the same happened again, but this time I didn´t close the sim, I just did the disconnect and reconnect thing with the throttle. Maybe 2 seconds later, my system shut down completely and I had to reboot manually. What could that be? Thanks in advance!
  16. Perfect! Thank you so much! With your help, my performance gets better and better!
  17. Thank you, so I got that right! I want to use the HOTAS (X 52 at the moment) only and, as far as possible, not touching the keyboard again. But it's really getting better every day, not at least due to your fantastic support!
  18. I got that difference, seems logical! :) And now, to make my confusion complete: I´m trying to use HOTAS exclusively now, but I started off with using the keyboard. Remember, I´m just newbie who´s probably trying to learn a little too much in a very short time... :smilewink:) I always used the "V" key to slew my Maverick seeker to the SPI set by the TGP. And I used the "C" key to center the Maverick seeker. Which are the correct HOTAS commands for those?
  19. Thanks a lot, mates! That sounds good, I will try this out tonight and will let you know if it worked for me! Greets , Michael P.S.: One more question concerning the steerpoint and the SPI: I always used China Hat Fwd long to slew the TGP to the steerpoint, is that wrong? Because RodBorza mentioned TMS Aft long for making the steerpoint my SPI.
  20. Perfect! That was it, first TMS up click for hooking, then TMS up long for making it SPI! It works! And I found the corresponding OBS on the TAD to turn the map off. Thanks, mate!
  21. Hi again! I gave the "Shooting Gallery" a try. And so far, my first JTAC worked out quite well. But I still have two questions: When the red triangle appears on the TAD, how can I designate that as my SPI? I can move my TAD cursor over it, but when I hold TMS up, nothing happens. After the first task (shooting 3 tanks with 65D´s) was done, I received another task and a second red triangle came up. I couldn´t convince my TGP to slew to that new position by holding CHINA HAT FWD. But that is probably the case because I didnt´t designat it as SPI, correct? And, how can I get rid of the map in the background of the TAD? Thanks in advance!
  22. Thanks again for your assistance. Looking forward to flying your attached mission!
  23. Thank you guys! I´ll give it a try tonight!
  24. Hi again! Next, I would like to practice some JTAC interaction. Is there an existing simple mission to start with or how can I set up a mission on my own that includes JTAC? Thanks in advance!
  25. Ok! Will give it another try tonight! Thank you
