DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
Mik75 replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Hi there. I was holding down this combination for 2 seconds and longer. But all it did was switching the break behaviour (as shown in the screenshot). I've read through the manual couple of times, but the whole process is probably just too complicated for me. So the fault is on my side for sure. I'll stick to the default in game assignment for now. Thanks again for your patience and input!- 2260 replies

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
Mik75 replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Hi there! I gave it another go, and I´ve spent some hours to set everything up (TrackIr, VAICOM, SRS, etc.). The voice says "SU25 selected" when I hit the play button in CTS. I´ve assigned the keyboard and Warthog in the controller setup in DCS in the corresponding columns, as described in the manual. The default WH assignments don´t show up, when the script is running. But I can´t select different profiles "on the fly" with HOTAS shift + speedbrake. If I hit this combination for a bit longer, it changes speedbrake behaviour (binary analogue, etc.). If I select the A10C profile as default at startup, everything seems to work fine at first, but then, all goes crazy. Like the coolie hat on the throttle. It doesn´t change MFDs and SOI, but activates switches and OSBs on the MFDs. What am I doing wrong here? Plus, I don´t understand the "CUSTOM INPUT DEFAULT LUA PROFILES (RECOMMENDED)" part. Is this optional, and what does it do? Here are some screenshots of the current state:- 2260 replies

Sorry for bringing up this rather old thread, but after setting up SRS and VAICOM lately, I still don't know, how to set up things correctly in order to have VAICOM and SRS running together in multiplayer scenarios. The idea to use two PTTs for VAICOM and another two for SRS radios on a 4way coolie switch on my TM Warthog sounds good. But if I don't use simple coms, don't I need more than 2 radios for VAICOM (ground crew, flight, ATC)?

Thx for your input! Yeah, I've got that set up correctly. I've got it working, but still, voice recognition is not working too great. But I guess, I can get used to it. One more thing though: the blue font on the kneeboard for the things that got read back (from JTAC, ATC, etc.) is too big. I can only read one half of it. Why is that?

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
Mik75 replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Wow! This must have been a huge effort on your side! I´m pretty sure it workds very good, once set up correctly! But I have to admit, that is too complex for me! I guess, I´m better off with sticking to the traditional bindings through the game menu, even if I miss some very cool stuff then... Once again, thanks a lot for your help!- 2260 replies

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! That sounds very promising. That means, if I don't load up the script when flying the A10C II, the default DCS bindings will be used?- 2260 replies

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
Mik75 replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Hi there! I got my TM Warthog recently, and haven't touch the TM software yet. The A10C II was preconfigured, and worked flawlessly, right out of the box. I own the Viper, the Hornet and the Harrier as well, and haven't done any assignments in DCS. When I download these scripts that utilize the TARGET software, what do I have to do in order to get them working? Do I have to change settings in DCS, or delete the A10C II bindings in the DCS controller setup? Thanks a lot in advance for your input! Greets, Michael- 2260 replies

Which extension for TM Warthog stick, and where to place the stick

Ok, I see. That's what causes the price difference, right? -
Which extension for TM Warthog stick, and where to place the stick
Mik75 replied to Mik75's topic in Thrustmaster
Wow, that looks super cool! Does your base support adjustable friction? -
Thanks a lot for taking the time and leaving an answer. I don't doubt at all that I've missed a (or several) step, or did something wrong during install. But there were many things going on, and I became a bit tired and unfocused along the way. However, it's working now. And what I've discovered so far, is pretty amazing.
-
I got it going! Thanks a ton guys! Now, let's jump into the cockpit and learn what it can do.
-
What do I have to assign to the command to be able to create a custom command for opening the kneeboard? Edit: Disregard. It comes up with a default DCS binding, right? So I can just create a custom command in VA that executes "right shift & K" as keystrokes, I guess.

Which extension for TM Warthog stick, and where to place the stick
Mik75 replied to Mik75's topic in Thrustmaster
Ok, thanks. It's a pretty expensive base. But it looks really well engineered and promising. Do you use it for every kind of aircraft? Edit: And these tablemounts by Monstertech look awesome. They're exactly what I was looking for! Thx a ton! -
I'll definitely give it another go. Because from what I've seen, this looks like a very handy and immersive tool for DCS!

Which extension for TM Warthog stick, and where to place the stick
Mik75 replied to Mik75's topic in Thrustmaster
Ok. Thanks a lot! And how's the height with that base? Will I still be able to use the stick on my desk? -
Thanks a lot for your help, it's really appreciated! I've given up to get it working, at least for now. Speech recognition doesn't work great either, although I've set the system language and speech recognition to English, and trained it several times. My English is not that bad, and still, only 1 command out of 5 gets recognised. I've spent the whole day now trying to get it working. I'm done for now.

My version number is 2.8.1.1. In game, the PTT tab looks like this (screenshot). Essentually, it seems as if any kneeboard voice command leads to VA waitng for additional input.
-
I think, I've done that. I used the Editor tab and the test button of the VAICOM GUI. And it found 500 missing keywords. I've inserted them like instructed, and they are definitely there. But still, they don't seem to work. With my custom commands, I can switch between the different tabs of the VAICOM kneeboard. But the "kneeboard" command (it's definitely in the list) doesn't want to work. It brings the message in Voice Attack that it got recognised, and it's waiting for further input. I might add a screenshot later.
-
I got the VAICOM kneeboard working. But the voice commands like Traffic, Anvil, etc. didn't switch between the different tabs of it. I created my own voice commands for that, and it's working now. The "kneeboard" voice command doesn't work either. I have to use shift+k to bring it up. When Voice Attack recognises "kneeboard", it states: " waiting for additional input", and nothing happens.
-
Thanks a lot! It´s been in the plugin, but the commands were missing. I had to update the keywords using the editor tab. Now, the kneeboards shows up, but I don´t know how to access the different tabs. Edit: The preprogrammed voice commands (anvil, crystal) for the kneeboard don't work at all. I had to add new ones to the VA profile. Now, I can switch between the different tabs. But the "kneeboard" voice command doesn't work either. It recognises my voice, but VA states something like "wait for additional input". This is really pretty hard to setup...

Hi there! Do I have the VAICOM kneeboard, if I never purchased it? Is it part of the new free one? I can´t find any voive command for the kneeboard in the VAICOM PRO for DCS profile of Voice Attack.
