cheers for all the replies guys, if I get an extended contract I'll look at a custome made set. For now I've gone for the push in styled ones with the over ear ones to give that extra protection. The worst noise has to the 767 and 777 engines they scream as the aircraft begins to taxi, either that or the APU of the A319 its the pitch that does it not the noise... Out of interest is work on the airforce RAMP simular to the work on the Civi ramp? aside from y'know loading weapons. Interesting you should say that Blueridge, haven't seen many people even the "cool kids" at work not wear their PPE some have even gone as far as buying knee-pads, madness.

Been working on the RAMP of a rather large airport and dealing with alot of large commerical aircraft, feels like my current ear protection isn't up to scratch Anyone recommend any good ear defenders?

Just installed DCS world the newest verision sorting everything out, let the auto-updater do its thing and now the game will crash while loading any mission. Come up with the usual "DCS has stopped working" Any idea's whats causing this?

I think the worst thing about the P-51 isn't the noise, the heat, how uncomfortable it is, how hard it is to fly but simply its one of the worst places I could ever imagain to fight and potentially die in.

Boom operator is hopeless but it builds... "Character"

Can only speak from my experience working on the ramp with civillian aircraft but If the engines are running, aircraft is being moved, pushed back ect Anti collision lights must be on And almost every aircraft that comes onto stand usually has wingtip illumination.

Just a question for my own interest really but would ED every consider making or updating DCS-A10 to include a demo jet? so something that would be capable of performing these sorts of maneuvers

I bought it, two reasons really One - variety is the spice of crashing planes into the ground And the Second - I might not get much use out of it maybe afew hours maybe afew hundred hours I don't know yet, but support a brand that offers extreme level's of high quality is something i'll get behind.

well I can load the DCS world bit, but no matter what mission I select for the P-51 It crashes within 3 seconds and then refuses to reboot back to the interface (another crash) bes I can work out I cannot play or create any useable missions Help would be appreciated.

I can't say much about anything other than handling but and this a total guess, the handling in the sim is largely dependant on how you have your joystick setup?

This time its do with UTM coordinates... or why I'm so bad at entering them lol. For example today I created a mission with JTAC and thought I'd use the UTM coordinates to the find my target. However once I had entered the coordinates and change from flight plan to mission I discovered the coordinates I had entered where for the end of the runway I had just taken off from... I've followed several guides and watched a fair few video's however I've had little success Im very confident my procedure is all correct, and I'm aware there is a glitch with the coordinates but Im not sure if any of that is effecting it. The coordinates im entering are GG130134 are these okay to enter? Just to make sure I've not missed out any major steps change the coordinate type from L / L to UTM entered my coordinates Hit the OSB (Can't think of the number) with the ? next to it. seen the coordinates at the top right of the MCFD given my coordinates a unquie name and then changed on the AAP pannel from Flight Plan to Mission. Any help would be amazing thanks :)

Hey guys, Been playing DCS a-10 for a fair while now and was wondering if someone here would be kind enough to explain to me how to drop multiple JDAM's in a single run? I know you have to create new waypoints but don't have any knowledge on how to do this, and once they are created how can I use them? Any help would be great :)
