  1. This thread has some workarounds.  I don't do VR so I can't comment on how they work.  No hotfix coming, fix will be in next patch (that's all explained in this thread too).

V62 on headset and V63 on computer. I dont get to the splash screen.

V63 on the computer is what's screwing you.  By the splash screen I just mean the picture that comes up with "15 years of DCS" logo after it does it's authorization stuff.  That's the typical symptom, if you're not getting there it could be something else, but if you're V63 on the computer that's 99% sure your problem.

I'm still on 62 and I mine still crashes?

    Beta turned off as well.

Headset on V62 or on your computer?  It had been the computer part that was the most important.  Are you crashing when you get to the 15 years splash screen?

  4. Sorry if it comes across as condescending, but there are multiple posts about this and everyone seems to keep just wanting to post looking for answers rather than making any effort to see if it's been reported.  So while I enjoy helping people find answers it gets tiresome answering the same question over and over when the information is easily found.  And my tone likely comes from your assumption that ED doesn't care enough about the issue to even bother fixing it.  And the "fix" has been found and implemented (which you also would have discovered had you looked at the thread) and is in testing to make sure it doesn't break something else.

I never even had that checked, and I am getting the exact same problem with the exact same errors on the log.

Is there a way to roll back the version?

The PTC post is from back in Feburary and hasn't been relevant for at least a couple of weeks now since Meta started pushing V63 to release stream.  See this thread for possible work arounds:

I just noticed the page UP/DN GUI buttons in the lower right corner don't seem to do anything either. They do change the page counter immediately below them, but don't actually change the page. (I always use the square bracket keybinds for paging through the kneeboard so never noticed until now. Using them seems to resync the counter back to the actual page you're viewing.)

That's maybe for the kneeboard SHORTCUTS?

Marked as can not reproduce? So we have to figure out what produces the bug in order for it to be investigated? 😑

How would you like them to fix it if they can't even see it themselves?  And how would they know if they fixed it if they did change any code?  So yes, you need to at least find a way to get a track of it happening so they can see the problem.  Intermittent issues really suck to fix.  And if it's some weird combination of your hardware and/or other programs that's causing it they could spend weeks trying to reproduce it (so they at least had a starting point to try and fix it) and never see the issue.

Once again, you missed the point.  Thanks.

You don't like ED's decision.  We get it.  Teach them a lesson and don't buy it.  The people hating on this map here before it even hits EA aren't going to change the plan.  There are others who are looking forward to it.

  9. Post a track because otherwise everyone is strictly guessing.  There are a number of things (altitude setting, PRF setting etc) that can prevent you from locking and someone will spot that in 1/2 the time it takes to list all the possibilities.

20 days without DCS 🥲 any new about any incoming update?

You might get a day or two notice of a patch incoming, but often it's not announced until the morning of release in case they run into last minute issues.  You'll never get anything more than a really rough estimate because otherwise people take that as a promise and get out the pitchforks and torches if they change the date.  Usually releases on Weds or Thurs.  BigNewy has made very clear there is no hotfix coming so you'll have to wait for them to finish testing on the fix for this plus whatever else got added, so you could still be 2-4 weeks out.

It's unfortunate, but just sticking the fix for this in could break a bunch of other stuff if they didn't test it, and they have apparently decided this isn't breaking enough that it makes sense to divert a bunch of resources to just test this.

I’m having the same issues. The Carrier is not in a turn, I’m sitting in a new jet trying to rearm in a MP session and the ground crew keeps shouting at me “What are you doing!” I’m in an F-18C requesting a new loadout. I look out at the aircraft and see it’s chocked and engines are not running, no movement either.

That's a long term issue that I've generally found better recently -- although now it seems to mostly happen in cases like you described i.e. no obvious reason.  It's likely a bit of desync causing you to bounce slightly and the ground crew freaks out.  Usually you can ignore them and eventually they'll finish, but sometimes you will need to restart refuel/rearm.  Be aware that if they restart and you've entered any settings in the ordinance it will be wiped (even if you're putting them same stuff on 2nd time).

  12. Actually, moving the kneeboard via .lua file is pretty simple other than figuring out where you need it the 1st time.  Not sure if this passes MP Integrity (I'm guessing not) so be aware of that before you spend a bunch of time setting it up if it that matters for you.

This is where mine is, your folder name may be slightly different.  The numbers I have in there put it on one of my MFD's which is positioned to the right of my main and at the bottom.  IIRC it will say "default" or something like that rather than have numbers when you open it 1st time.  Also, this needs to be redone after updates so make sure you make a note of whatever co-ordinates you settle on so you don't have to figure them out again.

    D:\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\ViewportHandling.lua

    dedicated_viewport                   = {3910,2437,600,700}       --  <<  AT LINE 33

Only one totally unrelated asset pack from Currenthill. I'll try removing it but it doesn't contains anything related to JDAMs. Will report if that solves the issue.

Don't assume "doesn't contain anything related to JDAM's" means it can't cause an issue with it.  They are amazing to look at, but I randomly discovered that the Chinese asset version was causing creating a fast mission to crash at 9% consistently.

That's interesting. It wouldn't be the first time Windows Updates have interfered.

That's completely a W.A.G. at this point 🙂.  I may dig a little more today now that I know it's not just me.  I was assuming it was just something corrupted on my end.
Nope, Current Hill Chinese assets mod was blocking mine.  As usual, checking mods as a 1st debug starting point is good advice.
