Not sure that isn't actually an issue with the nose of client planes. I've been just about exactly that same position with another client plane in MP (he was parked) and had the same issue and I've seen it with others at different times so I don't think it's desync.

And IIRC on some aircraft it will allow you to tweak some default MFD display settings, CMS programs etc.

You should be able to record it directly from MP BUT the server can control whether you can or not and more commonly it may have a 10 minute recording delay (so if you quit immediately you'll lose the last 10 minutes).

Just discover I have this problem now, had updates on Automatic and now have V63 on both PC and Headset. How did you revert to V62?
If you go back in this topic there are a number of options for work arounds posted. The fix should be coming in a patch on Weds if everything goes according to plan, so can decide how much effort you want to put into a work around.

Is this the end of DCS working on Meta/Oculus hardware?
No. ED has a fix (barring a different problem on your end) which should get pushed on Weds. assuming no surprises pop up on their end.

For refuel and repair you also need to make sure you are completely off the runway along with the 3 conditions mentioned above.

Looking to the size of the latest maps, Crimea can be aded to Caucasus as in the past.
Why not?
What Silver_Dragon said obviously overrides any other considerations currently, but if you ignored that factor, Caucuses is an OLD map. The tech used for it would likely collapse and run at 5-6 FPS on super high end systems if you added a bunch more area. I'm guessing you would likely need to completely remake Caucuses from scratch to allow it to expand massively without crashing performance levels.

I don't want to stir, but if it's happening "all the time" you clearly haven't dealt with it.
People need to take a bit of responsibility for checking things like this IMHO. If they don't bother to read (and I've seen them come to the forums to complain they bought something they couldn't use when it's in bolded red letters in the description warning them) it's their own fault. ED can only do so much if people aren't willing to try and help themselves.

As long as that is clear before buying that would be helpful.
Personally looking forward to Iraq but after that I really want to see a non-desert map.
IMHO, it doesn't say they WILL let you buy the individual segments with a discount to be the same price, so why would you assume they will let you? The logic assumption to me would be I'll get a discount for buying more things at once than buying individual things unless explicitly told otherwise.

Simple question. I see this map adds only ground. So I guess the f-14 and f-18 won't be able to deploy from carrier?
I mostly fly carrier based aircraft because I like all the stuff involved with it. Just evaluating if I want to buy this on pre-release or in a few years.Nineline posted a pretty detailed explanation of why you won't be getting any sea on the Afghanistan map.

I would be checking your drive as a starting point. That sounds like those files are going missing from your drive.
That's not an issue I've seen reported before.

1500 is probably what's needed, the NATOPS of mostly non combat systems is some 900 pages.
But since everything is a tradeoff, I doubt they're going going to push even to 900 pages. There are some who would like all those details, but ED needs to keep things to a slightly less daunting size if they want to keep casual users buying modules. And the people who would like all 1,500 pages need those casual users to keep buying modules in order to keep ED afloat and making/improving the modules we love.

That's why I was confused by Grimes comment that I was quoting.
I can see where that was confusing. The key point is in his post was he said IFF at the start of that point. Not sure if that was a typo (IF) or he did mean IFF (which would just mean "if and only if") but either way it is not what ED is planning.

They haven't really said anything about the DM getting improved for quite a while and honestly it is quite important compared to other stuff if you ask me
And I'd be confident that it's a priority for ED and being worked on diligently. If you remember there were all kinds of posters writing that ED had obviously given up on MT and it was never coming because ED didn't comment much on it. Then one day out of the blue it showed up fully fledged. You could say the same about DLSS, and as a bonus that ended up coming with FSR, which they had said was going to have to wait until they had DLSS done. Overused phrase on here, but you have to be patient and in the end ED almost always brings things they say they're going to.

Don't really like the idea of selling partial maps. I realize they can all be played online with lower detail, just makes things inconsistent.
If someone buys a small portion of the map, will they be able to upgrade to the full map at the cost difference? Or will it be $30 + $30 + $30 each $120 instead of $70)?
Well since the 3 parts X $30 = $90, they will pay $90 if they don't buy the whole thing up front for $70 yes. ED have explicitly said in a post somewhere that you WILL NOT get a discount for buying all the individual parts, only if you buy the whole thing in one shot.

What's so good about the warbirds DM?
They have been updated to be much more detailed and system specific rather than "generic" damage. ED stated they were doing this on the warbirds as a testbed and when they get figured out they will move it to the modern aircraft.

So, I wasn't getting this from the FAQ, and just wanted to get clarification. My understanding from the FAQ was that if I buy one of the sections after launch, I will then be locked into the $90 full price to buy the remaining 2 sections ($29.99 + $29.99 + $29.99).
Is the store going to discount the sections purchased on the full version (total $70)? I think the split is a great idea, if that's how it's going to work. Easier to swallow an initial smaller price and not be punished if you can't afford the full price at one go.
Sorry for the confusion.
Not sure exactly where it was said, but was explicitly said by ED in a post that if you DON'T buy the full map straight out there WILL NOT be discounts for buying all or multiple parts individually. So you either go for the full thing (cheapest option), or you pay more by buying each section individually.

And in answer to the other part of your original question, yes, the gear did change when they updated the flight model in the last patch. It is presumably more realistic now, but you definitely have to fly the landing properly now to put it down without harming the gear. I know I picked up a lot of bad habits of slamming the plane on the deck with the old flight model

You can also restrict A/B usage in the advanced WP settings. May not be the perfect solution, but hopefully you can at least delay usage until they might really need it.

Hi,Thanks for all info.I can live with it, I tried to find in the documentation of the f18c of there is some connection between MIDS and TACAN. Also in SA page there is no description of those connections.
Ya, we can hope that when the new manual for the F-18 comes out (it'll likely be a while still, they're still working on the F-16 manual I think) that more of these details are covered, but I'm sure it's gotta be a balance between what they cover and not ending up with a 1,500 page manual too

just hoping Afghanistan isn’t going to be same… performance sucks for 4/6 months
We won't know until it releases, but the tech they used to improve the other maps should be baked in to Afghanistan from the start.

That's at over 5,500 ft. I know on the Sinai map that helo's have issues at St Catherines at 4,200 ft (more a startup issue in that case IIRC). Likely not enough air to get enough lift to lift off vertically.

ED screwed up when they said in the 2024 and Beyond video that Halfghanistan would be released in 2024. So they split the map up into parts so they could release the *some* of it in order to meet their announcement.
Last I checked June is still 2024. And assuming they hit their 3 month *target* release it will be fully released by the end of 2024. Personally I'll take the split maps and get access to it 6 months sooner than waiting until December for the whole thing.
Just now, Viper ZA said:I may have missed it, but when is the first part release date for early access. Maybe I can hold off from buying this month.
According to the tail end of the trailer, release of first section is June.

Old FA-18C static collision model doesn't change with folded wings
in Object Bugs

So is the two phantom end wing sections mean that the collision model does still extend even when folded? I'm not familiar enough with the models to understand what the pic is showing. Thanks.
