Ok but what is ''priced as an upgrade''? where can I find this? what really confuses me is what I see here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/lock_on_flaming_cliffs_3/ I can just download the upgrade without any payment?

Hi, I'm a little confused on how to install the DCS/modules. Like pointed out in the title, I already own FC and BS1 (both RU version), I see that on the download page I can download both FC3 & BS2, does that mean I get them for free since I own previous versions? Also: - I have several mods (ModMan) installed for FC & BS1, do I need to remove them or make a clean install before upgrading? - Should I download and install DCS first?

I don't think its a TrackIR problem, when I set it to pause and then press the cabin view keys, it does the same. When I press Num5 to recenter, it goes into that position (looking at the lower left console) It actually thinks that the center is there for some reason... :/ I'm not sure what am I supposed to do to fix this, its quite annoying ninja edit: I found the problem, its the snapview file in config\view, I replaced it with the snapviewDEFAULT.lua one. It's fixed for now. I still have no idea how it got f*cked up

Hi astrospud, thanks for the answer ill give it a try. I'm using SST as well for my cyborg fly 5, however I'm having some trouble assigning some functions, for example I assigned the toggle hover to a button (Lalt+T) but in the game it doesnt work for some reason, I'm suspecting the SST software cant handle 2 key-functions :/ anyone can help? Also, I have 2 new problems: 1- My trackIR ''center'' is looking at my lower left console instead of the HUD, I have no idea how it happened and I cant fix it.. :( - for example, when I press the recenter key of the TrackIR software it goes to that console and it is centered there, so if I want to see the hud I have to turn my head to the upper right ... its very uncomfortable. 2- How do I use unguided rockets properly, I'm having an aweful lot of trouble aiming with them because the heli is hard to control (especially rudder wise).

Another noob question: Is there a way to assign the trigger on my joystick to both fire the gun and weapons? In options, I can set both the ''fire canon'' and ''fire weapon'' on the same joystick button (the trigger) but in game only one of them works...

hello again, can someone suggest a good Mig-29K mod? something won't interfere too much with other mods. The ones I'm currently using are: * R-77 & R-27T mod for Su27 and Su33 * 51st server integrity files * high resolution models for planes & weapons (shouldn't cause any conflict IMO) I'm especially concerned because the ones I found (Mig29K mods) because they are not installed using Modman :/ I am worried I won't be able to play online after installing it.

However I am still at loss on what to do with SARH missiles, especially against the AI, it seems to have a 100% success rate in breaking my lock and making my missiles useless. So any range advantage that the R-27ER gives is completely negated by that. It makes playing the missions/campaigns very frustrating. Can anyone offer advice in this subject?

Hi all, For some reason, I cannot beat the AI in Air-to-Air, I fly mostly the Russian jets. I've looked around for videos and tracks explaining different tactics but couldn't find any for FC2. I want to learn things like : -Notch/Beaming (both how to best execute it and how to deal with an opponent using it) -1v1 / 2v2 / XvX scenarios when fighting against western jets -Proper use of SARH missiles (for some reason I can't get any on target) -Proper missile dodging (especially ARHs like the AMRAAM) anyone can help?

One more question tho, when I want to play online, do I have to uninstall mods that are ''not permitted'' or just not use them? for example what happens if I log into a server that does not permit the R-77 on Flankers with the mod installed?

Hi, Chopper newbie here (fixed wing veteran), I have a couple of questions: 1-Why do the blades of my Ka50 break in flight for apparently no reason? Usually after the warning lights beeps uncontrollably - the master one and the one that is refered to in the manual as being the ''Maximum allowed IAS exceeded'' 2-Also, sometimes the RPM dial drops below the minimum value and it breaks the blades too... what am I doing wrong? 3-I am currently flying with the 1.0 Russian version of the game, should I patch it or wait until I don't need the tutorial tracks anymore? Also which patch should I apply? 1.0.2 directly?

Hi, I've recently re-started playing FC2 and I'm wondering what are the must have mods for this game. Can anyone suggest me some? also is there a mod-installation utility, if yes, where do I get it? Hello all, I haven't play a flight sim in years, ever since my old cheap joystick passed away. I've played the original Su-27 Flanker, Flanker 2.0 & 2.5, LOMAC and I own Flamming Cliffs. On a recent visit to Ukraine to see my family I bought Black Shark and decided to get back to flying. So my questions are: 1. Can you guys suggest me a good joystick in the price range of 100$, I wanted to get a x52 but they are out of stock everywhere until May. 2. What is Flamming Cliffs 2 ? is it just a patch or do I have to buy it? is it compatible with my Flamming Cliffs (Russian version bought in Ukraine) ? 3. What is Black Shark 2 ? again is it a patch? will it be compatible with my Russian version ? 4. I also want to buy a head tracking system, I'm planning to get NaturalPoint's TrackIR 4.0, is this a good choice? I mostly want 6DOF, but is there anything else to consider? OK it works now, deleted everything and reinstalled. Btw Unpacking the .rar and packing it into a .zip has no bad effect. Works perfectly well.

Well the rest works, I even dropped the files manually into bazar/world/shapes but I still get the old AIM-9 model...:(
