I thought about having a 100 printed by a family friend in the print business. Though, I'm not sure what type of copyright infringement that would violate.
-
Not at all. I found this via a search on google like "online printing" or something close.

I used an online print place, bestvaluecopy.com It came out quite nicely. If you do go with online print, make sure you double side the cover. That will assure the "fat margin" will be at the spine (or is it spline) Just in case anyone is interested, I used these settings and I'm pretty darn happy with the results. $56.50 and took less than 1 week (it can be done cheaper, I just wanted good paper). The only exception was they used a plastic "comb" style binding vs the spiral wire I had ordered due to the thickness..but it works fine. It's about 2" thick and weights about 6 lbs :D COPY TYPE - 1 of copies - 669 of originals - Black and White Copy Type - Double Sided - Page Size: 8.5 x 11 - Paper Type: 28# Hammermill Laser Bond - Paper Color: N/A FINISHING OPTIONS - Collation: Collated - Binding: Wire - Front Cover: Hard Front Cover - Front Cover Paper Type: 80 # glossy cover (only available for color copying) - Back Cover: Hard Back Cover - Back Cover Paper Type: 80 # glossy cover (only available for color copying)

..and holy smokes.. wow. It surpassed my expectations in so many ways. I configured it in the trackIR software to center and loaded the game and.. can't complain about anything. Seems really optimized for the game. It doesn't seem to sensitive, too slow or anything. Just right. Any suggested slight changes? I really don't think any are necessary :D I put off learning start up procedures till I got this because looking around the cockpit with the num-pad was driving me nuts. Glad I did.

I don't know if this bird is just easy to land or Falcon 4.0 was incredibly hard but it took me many many attempt to land in Falcon. This I can do without thinking about it.

A dude at this thread put together an airport diagram complete with all info you'll need http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60370

Happen to have a link to the article? I'd like to read that.

Just because I didn't find it on my search "RPM %" doesn't mean I didn't give it the old college try. It would have certainly been easier to find vs taking a screen shot, uploading to image shack and creating a new, unnecessary thread.

I did

Not sure if this is a phenomenon like an economy car having a speedometer that goes up to 150 mph but my RPM % maxes out about 92%. Is this normal? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/683/percentrpm.png

Anyone know how to print each page to 1 8.5 x 11"? I find myself squinting to read the small print with the 2 pages printed on 1 landscape

Can someone compare/contrast who might have played Falson 4.0? Never played FC 2

+1 I was a little enthusiastic to jump in the seat when I first purchased and used keyboard commands. After a few lessons I figured out quickly that, in the long term, I was handicapping my potential to learn by taking the easy way out and not mapping out and learning my HOTAS. You can take a pre-made profile or start some lessons and right down commands as they appear. You'll find that you're instructed to use "china hat forward" the "V" key quite a bit..so you'll figure out that the "V" key should be binded on your hotas, and so on and so on. Once I used the stick for all the primary equivalent keyboard commands learning really smoothed out. TrackIR is definitely a good tool as well. I watched a youtube video of a cold start and the ability to look and switch blew me a way. so.. I ordered one yesterday :D I know it will add that extra level of immersion to this (and ARMA 2)

But.. you may want to try Modman. Pretty sweet I think.

I read where someone was going to host a full time server, up 24/7 Is there a dynamic campaign scenario like Falcon 4.0 had? From what I'd read and experienced thus far it looks to have campaigns broken down into bite sized pieces versus the Falcon approach of a continuously updated battlefield. but.. why else would someone want a server 24/7.. so, had to ask

A great thing about STEAM is how easy it is to reload without reloading. I had an issue where I was trying to use a X52 profile for an x45. From what the thread said it pretty much loaded some nice presets and you were almost good to go as is. It didn't work :P I kept having issues with my controller..so, I deleted both of these folders: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS Warthog D:\program files\Valve\Steam\steamapps\common\dcs a-10c warthog\Config I then went to STEAM, games list, right clicked the game title, went to "local files" and selected "Verify integrity of Game Cach". It scanned, found the missing files, replaced them and I was good to go in about 1 minute. I wouldn't recommend flat-out deleting your save game file if you have much time invested in your logbook though.

Question. I'm about to buy the TIR 5 and see it sells for $149.95 on the naturalpoint.com site. Is there and additional accessory that I'm not seeing that I would have to purchase in addition to this $149.95 TIR 5 or is your friend asking for full price for his used TIR 5?

this video is the reason I'm whipping out the credit card today and ordering a Trackir

Fish, quick question.. is there some type of voice recognition you're using when you requested picture from AWCS?
-
Wow.. I came here looking exactly for this and BAM! Here it is.. thanks!

Night and day difference, it was glorious.

I watched the video and can see that trying to lock on with the seeker head is exactly as I thought.. a bit frustrating. Will definitely be using the TGP from this point on. Thanks again!

Thanks guys. I was running through the training mission and doing everything he said..which I figured was just "the way" you do it. But.. could not lock on. They say its based on contrast.. and perhaps it's just not "contrasty" enough. I'll check those vids out.
