  1. @sleighzy Update: I ran SFC and performed cleanup. I haven't disabled XMP or updated the BIOS, as I updated it a few months ago. When I launch from Steam and select OpenXR mode, it crashes even with a clean start. However, if I start in normal mode, it works fine. In Normal, I can also add VAICOM and some input without any issues or crashes. dcs.log-20250412-123823.zip @sleighzy REPORT 2: Since this morning, after countless tests: If I start the game from Steam in normal mode, it opens the in-game launcher. From there, if I select VR, the game starts without crashing. (Praise the Lord!) I can even bring my config/Vaicom file along with me. My guess is that the latest patch might have added some code to direct people to the launcher.
  2. Wow, thank you man!!! I give this a shot. Report back in couple of hours.
  3. dcs.log-20250411-211336.zip This crash log, the dcs saved games folder is clean except from config and options.lua
  4. dcs.log-20250411-065543.zip @MAXsenna Thank you for your help, here it is.
  5. My game was working almost fine, but now it crashes shortly after launching. I'm using the Steam version, and about 20 seconds after I hit "Play," I get a blue box saying "Unfortunately, the game crashed." I’ve tried deleting all mods and running a file integrity check, but that didn’t help. The only thing that works is deleting the saved files/DCS folder—then the game starts. But as soon as I add back anything like my 20 keybinds or option settings, it crashes again. I'm really tired of going down this rabbit hole, especially when I’ve spent so much time fine-tuning VR settings and configurations. Anyone else been through this or have tips?
  6. That fixed the problem and yes it downloads to D and then moved it to C. Thank you for your help!
  7. Thank you for your effort in helping me! I’ll look into it. I initially thought that if you downloaded a game to the C drive, all the DLC would also be installed there. I didn't know you could have DLC content on a different drive. Since I run DCS in VR, I definitely want all the DLC content on the same drive. I'll test excluding the D drive to verify that it works and then investigate why Steam is splitting DLC across different drives. Cheers!!
  8. No, you can't choose where to install it because DLCs are add-ons to the base game. The game needs to know where the DLC is located, so it must be installed in a predefined location, typically the game's install folder. That's why Steam doesn't give you the option to select an install location.
  9. This is getting out of hand. My DCS Steam directory is on the c drive, but for some reason, when I download the F-14 DLC, it saves to my d drive. That's why my exclusion doesn't work... I don't understand.
  10. Sorry wrote fast, you can see the exact path in my screen print
  11. I'm at that step as well, but I can't get it to work. I added the exclusion to both the DCS folder in Saved Games and Steamapps/DCS. Note that I have the F-14 DLC unchecked. After that, I verified the integrity of the files, then re-enabled the F-14 DLC, but I still get this issue. It feels a bit risky to release it like this..
  12. Very sad! It really kills the immersion with the Tomcat
  13. For me the best way is to start pc, start oculus, connect oculus and pc via link, start DCS from the program sugestions that show up in Oculus. Three things that made DCS playable with vr for me was to turn down texture to medium, no preload radius(100) and 1 in pixel density. No oot, no debug and no shaders and <profanity>.
  14. Tried yesterday, still not working
  15. Mine looks like this, no squelch sound when i push to talk. Nothing happens. Works like a charm in other modules.
