everything is working great joystick wise! But I seem to have develped a different problem (no BSOD, don't worry). During DSMS training and landing, the instructor gives me orders, I follow them, and nothing happens. Eventually, the application crashed during DSMS as I kept pressing the buttons hoping to jog the program. I got a BEX64 error code...sorry to bother you guys again (I REALLY am), but is there any way you can help me with this?

Hey Jeff, LOL. Went out last night and it got pretty late. IT WORKS! Tried it for little over an hour, tried training, surrounded, etc. No BSOD and the stck seems MUCH more responsive. I will test it more extensively today :) but it is working really good at this point. The WARTHOG is unbelievaby cool- with TIR it adds so much immersion...its outstanding. I'm running it through my Pluggable external Port and it is working fine. I didn't get a chance to run it with TIR last night, gonna try that this morning. Thank you and cichildfan for all your're help and patience. If you have any advice or questions, let me know. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

i'm sorta confused here...I've gotten conflicting advice about this BIOS. Jeff and Cichildfan have been really great with this, and I wholeheartedly appreciate their dedication and everything they have done to assist me. Jeff, if you could chime in again I'd appreciate as I'm really confused now...so, what do you think?

Hey cichildfan and Jeff, this is straight from MS forum support. Maybe you guys can help, let me know what you think please. The driver that appears to be causing the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) stop error is the nvlddmkm.sys: BUCKET_ID: X64_0x9F_3_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys As the nvlddmkm.sys is the NVIDIA disp lay driver the problem appears to be related to the display adapter. Which version of display adapter driver are you using and from where did you obtain the driver? Also, does the error occur only when the joystick is connected? Also, one of the minidump files showed a MANUALLY_INITIATED_CRASH1 (deaddead) stop error. I would not think that you manually initiated a crash but did you have beta drivers installed recently for any device? Is the BIOS version the most recent version? Here is what I just replied back with: Hi, Thanks for helping me out, i appreciate it. The nvidia display adapter driver is for the geforce 540m is 8.17.12.7061. I obtained the driver I believe by downloading it from nvidia's driver utility (in the control panel) I did initiate a crash due to the fact that I did not know how to create minidumps initially and wanted to test and see if I had enabled the foler properly Not the best thing to do I realize now. Yes, the problem occurs only with the joystick connected and in conjunction with a specific game (DCS A-10C). However, the joystick issue is moot as I am returning it to amazon for a better model. (I still have it if you need me to perform tests. I'm not sure if the Bios is the most recent version or how to tell if it is the most recent version. I do have an HDMI Port and use it to display high definition on my tv, but this issue has always been independent of being hooked up to the high defiition tv.

hmmm...im not sure- i did use the link provided to dl the newest profiling software (allowing my native .dat program to accept .pr0 files bit not sure if the STICK drivers were updated. when yoiu say "driver is bad needs to be reinstalled, exactly what do you mean- what would I reinstall and how would i go about it? Also, if I'm getting a TM WARTHOG, and I get a bluescreen with that...what would you guys say. one other question regarding the WARTHOG- would I run the WARTHOG through the extenral USB? I'll get to that test Jeff, its just such a beautiful fcking day out!
