  1. As my key is error prone - How do I get a valid key? Is there a process to follow? Thx.
  2. So how do I get my activation count back to its original level?
  3. Thanks for the information. So this is just a random issue that occurs with a new release of software and isn't related to quality assurance? Or is this just the new way that this all works, when there is a new release of DCS, some random modules need to have their keys reentered?
  4. <rant removed> - Raised a ticket instead. ;-)
  5. Well, sorry to say, but that did sweet diddly, now I get a message "can't run", "Sorry, only one instance is allowed.". Suggestions to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Looks like QA is as poor as it has been... Restart, and try again appears to work. Asked for activation key again!?! Now down to 7 activations left! How do I get my activation count increased to the original level before this license issue debacle began?
  6. Yes, same problem here. No physical change or logical change to any components of my hardware setup or configuration, and now getting requests to re-enter the key. Please provide a Sticky on how this issue can be resolved. Thanks.
  7. This would take some time, a change to the layout would be required as there are cases where there are 9 bindings to a single key with the mustang. The keys will need to be larger, or the text smaller....
  8. So far so good.
  9. Reminds me very much of an earlier video for Lock-On "Run In and Break" by Chris Warren, although that was with a Su-33. File is available still on FlankerTraining. http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/Downloads/Run_in_and_Break--Chris_Warren.zip
  10. The problem will exist with a complete reinstall, and it is then updated to the most recent release (albeit the install problem with the Su-25T training missions is now fixed). My recommendation is to hold off with this update, unless you need to get your hands on the MiG-21bis, since this most recent update is the only version that you can install in order to get the MiG-21bis running with. Now, if you can do without the MiG-21, then why not try without the latest update, or revert your installation to the earlier release until such time as the clangers get fixed... If you are running a "non-steam" version of DCS you could try the process (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030) to revert to an earlier version that doesn't have the campaign and mission issues etc. Of course, the choice is yours at the end of the day. Regards
  11. Yikes....I've yet to come out of the dark ages. nvidia GeForce GTX 275 / i7 870 @2.93GHz / 16 GB Which is rather fortunate 'cos I was just having a peak for a new graphics card, but suddenly realised that if it doesn't run Junos then I have absolutely no idea as to what I'm looking at/for? Recommendations GTX 760? Or does this just add emphasis to the fact that I have no clues whatsoever about graphics cards etc...!?
  12. I can't recall the last time that a patch caused so much of an issue. Chances are that it was just a glitch/weakness in the validation process (someone on holiday/sick/etc.) - Of course pure speculation, as I have no idea what the cause was/is. Not interested either. Wags has made an apology, process will be tightened up, and so it goes...welcome to the software product life cycle, things evolve and change for good reason, or at least that's my experience of it.
  13. I think that the situation is that the initial update had a multitude of issues. One of which was the inability to update if the Su-25T training missions had been installed. That issue has been resolved, and the updater should proceed normally......however..... there are a number of issues that were introduced with the last update and are present also with the recently corrected update, whereby things such as Campaigns and Missions, in particular those associated with FC3 are not working as they should. So, yes the updater installation issue has been fixed (for the Su-25T training missions issue), but no there hasn't yet (to the best of my knowledge) been a fix for the other recently reported issues. Although I am not actually sure what specific issues are being addressed currently, or ETA for the fix either. If you are running a "non-steam" version of DCS you could try the process (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030) to revert to an earlier version that doesn't have the campaign and mission issues, this is a good option to continue running with FC3 without too much hassle, however since this most recent update permits the newly available MiG-21bis to run, you've got to stick with this latest release in order to run with that aircraft.... Regards.
  14. Wow! Just think of the fun to be had with F-4E Phantom II. Of course, a Vietnam map would also be in order, and the fun would just keep on going on...add some Hendrix, Doors, and maybe Wagner, well just call it Apocalypse Now, should be fun for the Huey too!
  15. One option that might be available [FOR NON STEAM users] is to jump back a release, that way you'll be able to continue with FC3 and not suffer the issue in the current release version. The following link provides instructions on how to revert to an earlier release. Just make sure that you don't upgrade again afterwards until such time as a fix is released; else you'll be back to the same situation. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Of course reverting back a release isn't going to allow access to the MiG21, but if you're only interested in FC3 then that shouldn't be too much of an issue.
  16. This is a known problem that I am under the impression is being worked on. Campaigns and missions don't always put you in the correct aircraft. e.g. F-15 -> Su-27, Su-27 -> MiG29 etc. Sometimes as you have noticed you are looking at an aircraft type that you cannot take control of as it isn't even a flyable model.... Fingers crossed this will get sorted out very soon.
  17. Are you not able to download the installer(s) from the e-Shop, and then run those as a way to reinstall the modules? That typically is how I've installed my modules.
  18. No it hasn't. Thought I'd try an uninstall of FC3 and a reinstall, but once again it appears to be impossible to fly the F-15 missions or campaign without jumping into a Su-27 or MiG as a consequence.... Looks like some more updates are going to be required to resolve this.
  19. This was a wingman, I bailed out way before, I was just intrigued as to how long he could keep it in the air, and did a mighty fine job, albeit in a straight line ;-)
  20. Surprised to see how much damage an A-10C could take, and still continue to fly (in a straight line at least) !
  21. The training files are not installed by default. Its a manual choice to install them. Although I can't imagine anyone trying to get to grips with the Su-25T or any of the other aircraft without using the training tasks.
  22. Do your campaigns work as expected? A number of users are seeing instances where the selected aircraft does not match the aircraft you are actually flying in. e.g. FC3 F-15 becomes a Su-27, or Su-27 becomes a MiG-29S. Not sure if you have FC3 installed or not, but you might find that there are still some issues under the hood with this update.
  23. Yes, a number of users are reporting issues such as this.
  24. Yes, same here. Although I get the following experience: Campaign Aircraft A-10A The Valley A-10A F-15C Bear Trap Su-27 MiG-29S Over The Hump MiG-29S Su-25 Cold War Warrior A-50 [?? but no control ??] next time a Su-25 Su-27 Fortress Mozdok Su-27 Su-33 Heavy Sky MiG-29S Su-33 Sea Dragon Su-33 It all seems very random, and buggy with this latest update. :(
