  1. HAHAHA yep thats exactly what happens... I tried to explain it off as a broken speaker and changed it shortly after
  2. Just made it down Never knew you used so much fuel taxiing :D
  3. Cut throttle to 50% depending on your loadout and fly in a large clockwise circle around the target area.
  4. that video 1:05... So many kills thanks to noob DCS pilots :smilewink:
  5. BTW what is the keyboard binding for start/stop Jammer? I now realise I've never used it... no wonder I'm always hit by SAMs
  6. yes just short burst till it reaches to top of the line, steer back down to the base and repeat for success!
  7. Another question about the TGP laser... If you lock up a target and want to lase it to find out exactly where it is, do you just turn laser on/off? Will the TGP switch to the laser data instead of the correlated ground position? Cheers
  8. On numpad hold down 0 Then press 4 or 6. You can use any of the other numbers for other preset views of the HUD, left/right panels, CPU and outside.
  9. Say you won it... don't need to know entry price is RRP :)
  10. As mentioned above, its a combination of the Steam updating method as well as the file organisation of the game software. Yes people hate how Witcher has an abysmal update functionality. What about other games though? Nearly all other Steam-based games are much better with regards to updating. Updates are easily accessible and install/download automatically. Why is Steam so popular? Its a game software manager, distributor and community. Steam allows for your games to be managed the same way, and be located in the same place. Updates can also be downloaded without say searching through development blogs. The e-distribution model is suitable for the current speeds and quotas of private consumers, and provides relatively easy access to content. Games can be downloaded at your own pace, and on any computer. Binding games to accounts suits the electronic distribution model used by Steam. Account-based activation of games allows for the game to be played by the account-holder anywhere. It does however prevent the transfer of individual games between people and puts your access to games at the digression of Valve. The popularity of Steam also allows for communities to develop among Steam users. As a system used by many game players, steam has both the player base and the infrastructure available to effectively support a gaming community. I use Steam because it allows me to download games and chat and interact with my friends. It updates my games automatically and allows me to install them anywhere. I bought DCS on Steam. Sure I might be positively raving about Steam. I've presented my points objectively and passively. I feel that being an active user of Steam I would know at least a bit more than those who dislike it and state they do not use it.
  11. Hi all I bought A-10 yesterday via Steam. I tried to log into multiplayer and noticed I had to create a DCS.com account. OK I tried to make an account with my email address and a number of characters that were already in the Key box. I assumed there were input by steam or something. When that didn't work I went to the DCS website to make an account. Now I have a key from steam and an account on DCS.com I can't log-in to multiplayer because it says invalid product key. I can't make a new account because my email address is already used. I can't add my key to my DCS.com account on the website because there is no option to. What can I do?
  12. Had the same problem as you, spent ages chasing around the 2nd plane trying to figure out where it was based on the direction it was pointing in the TGP. Around 50% of the way into the screen (edge -> center) there'll be a small white dot. That indicates which direction (relative to you) it is pointing!
