  1. I think that it is a bit harsh to say that ATI/AMD sucks. Yes they do not perform as well as Nvidia but that is because Nvidia is more expensive, if you are running more that 1 monitor you get something like a 560ti and run games of that and even get something like a 450 and run your other apps for sims off that. But like I said in my original comment, JUST WAIT till the newest gene comes out :P
  2. Game booster http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html My computer is making almost robotic sounds (any suggestions) and is also struggling with fsx, RAM and GPU upgrade in May and also OC soon as well, in the meantime I was considering giving this piece of software a shot. Is it good? Is it bad?
  3. I would not recommend for you to get ATI/AMD at this time! I have a 6870 and play A-10C and also FSX, my CPU is great but I would not get a 6870 it is not as good as the 6950 or 6970. Just because it states 2GB of graphics memory, does not necessarily mean that it is going to run faster :P I would look more at the bit rate, as Nvidia last gene cards laughed at ATI/AMD. If you can wait till the new Nvidia cards come out. If you can not keep yourself contempt for that long :P then I would get a 560ti or even two of them if you can stretch your budget by that much. Also one last thing Intel is on the verge of releasing there new Ivy bridge which has been overclocked to 7GHZ by some fanatics!!! (I do not know all the info about the overclock other than the fact there was some liquid nitrogen involved) But be patient and wait till the new stuff comes out and you will thank me later
  4. I should probably have mentioned that, the issue aroused even when I used the normal dick cleaner for windows 7... The only thing that I can think of is that the issue may have come about after I installed the saitek X52 pro software and that it really only occurs when that is installed into the computer. Still need help with the sound though, it is driving me CRAZY
  5. Hi all. I have currently got two issues with my computer. One of them is that it is making a weird sound when it loads up an application or a web page. It also sort of stops a song when it is nearly finished and then resumes it after. I find that this error can go away when the power options are on high performance, but even when it is, it still makes this annoying sound on BF 3 and the computer almost jitters for a second or so. Need help soon please! The other issue is that my computer suffers from an "invalid process attachment error" now and again. It usually occurs after I do a disk clean up using CCleaner. What can I do to fix these errors please?

    FSX Issue

Def-rag my HDD almost every other day, how do I enable Vsync? Would that be in my ATI catalyst, and I don't really want to change the view distance as that is where I am having one of the errors as the scenery changes to slow over a period of time :/ thanks for help though I will look through this as soon as I have some spare time. I should of mentioned this as well but on the water I see lines when about 20,000ft, It is almost like a line a dark blue and then normal water, this only occurs at night :S Do you guys want a video/ screen shoot so you can try and assist me with these errors?

    FSX Issue

I have an issue with FSX. I Have REX 2.0 and GEX Europe installed. For a bizarre reason the scenery "can" look great, however the majority of the time it is constantly changing the scenery even when I'am flying 500ft from the ground or 25,000ft, the scenery keeps on almost jittering! I can not ever recall having this issue with the original texture of FSX, so what can i do to fix this error so I can enjoy the sim again?
  8. OK now lets not be pedantic about this AND JUST conclude that the 6970 is best for him AND if he wants then he can run his 5870 as well OK??????
  9. I think though a Final verdict needs to be given though for this thread or EtherealN and I will just have long discussion/dispute :P
  10. If I said that is eye finitty is needed to power one monitor then please apologies for that misleading info. However, if the computer is then not running in SLi or crossfire then i will FINALLY concur with you that that would be a good solution to running multiple monitors and one solution that i did not even consider :megalol:
  11. The thing is when you start crossfireing 6970 with 5850, and SLI' ing Nvidia with x,y micro-stuttering will almost defiantly occur and that will make games pretty much unplayable.... STICK with the 6970, yes it does not perform as well as a 570 but it will run better on 3 monitors than a 570 Also how do we know that the Mb that he is buying will support crossfire let alone SLi??
  12. Im sorry but why would you consider running a 570 and then a 9800 if you "claim" that a 570 can run on two monitors? and beside AMD GPU will usually out perform a Nvidia on 2 monitors due eye finite running better as its tech is mopre advanced than Nvidia surround. Im not saying this because I'am an AMD fan which I'm not... I prefer Intel/Nvidia but AMD will be better in this situation!!
  13. However the cards that will fit into the e-PCIe will eat the battery life and will also not perform as well unless the laptop is plugged into a mains
  14. Agree with what you said about Rhinox XD Anyways the website that EtheralN has is the best to see what the computer is capable of. That laptop will struggle with DCS due to it not having a great dedicated GPU!!! May i suggest that you state how much you are spending in a laptop so i can advise you to GET A DESKTOP which will mean that you will get more for your money and also will allow you to play games smoother and with higher settings than that of a laptop
  15. I honestly do not know why you need anything new... THAT is a monster of a machine and the only real reason to get the i7 3000 series would be if you are doing a lot of video rendering/highly demanding tasks (most games are not programmed to support 6 core CPU's and with Intel's hyper-threading.... it is more or less 12 cores) Save your money for now or maybe get more RAM but personally I would just wait till later on this year and then up your systems performance
  16. Integrated USUALLY in a laptop means that the graphics capabilities are shared with the CPU and therefore this function can not be un-done If you want a new graphics card i am afraid that you will have to get a new laptop.... sorry. But if it has integrated and a graphics card (which is what i believe you said earlier) then i have no idea about that as i have never heard about that in my life :megalol:
  17. The AMD has already released the 7970 .... so prices should be in there way to fall slowly. The 7K series will most likely be released in Feb or March (don't hold me to that though ) One last thing is make sure that you get one with AT LEAST TWO FANS!!!! MSI as mentioned previously is the best 6970 as it is great for the money and also is a fantastic over clocker.... so I can not emphasize anymore that, that should be the card for you to go for GOOD LUCK!!!!
  18. 570 will support 1 monitor unless you are running 2 or more (SLi) ATI will support several monitors depending on who makes it and what not In your case i would go for ATI if you are planning to run on several monitors
  19. I agree the 6970 is a great card for the money, however if im not mistaking, you can get a 570 which has a higher bit rate and WILL out perform the 6970 for a similar budget.
  20. Need a new headset that support 7.1 SRS... any ideas?
  21. Dont have any sounds from the throttle..... maybe we should take are ones back? XD
  22. I know that this a wee bit irrelevant, but does your stick make a creaking sound when it is pulled back to a certain level or pushed forward a certain a level?
  23. I could not agree anymore with you, usually when the CPU is overclocked the memory is also something that you overclock and the CAS timings will go out the window as well. But a higher CPU is very beneficial for flight sims due to them being heavy CPU orientated. As for your GPU do not get a 6870 ( as you can see i am running one ) and it is not great at handling games. Go for 560ti if you can afford it, the MSI twin forza one is a monster and is quiet and is an amazing overclocker that can almost be on PAR with A 570GTX!!!
  24. Personally that is fort to much to spend on RAM... you should spend say $75 or so ( i live in the UK so not sure about the price difference) I think that the price is about £1 - $1 (lucky you guys) GO for asus MB, here is the one that I would recommend P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 it has PCI 3.0 as well being able to support both SLI and crossfire. AS for an SSD I would recommend going for corsair this one CSSD-F90GBGT-BK. It is a monster an you could maybe get a 120GB one of this version for your budget. As for the RAM i would suggest corsair again this one CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9. If you really want you could put to lots of them in making it 16GB :O Or you could save about $150 here and there and get a better GPU... that one is a little out dated man :/ HOWEVER my personal opinion would be to wait until Intel realizes there new processors and GPU that way you can either get the new version or get more for your money and get last gen stuff but higher spec versions Hope i :helpsmilie: ed you
