  1. I actually figured it out. When Checking for the argument in range, you cant just select 0.2 for the min and max. If you want the switch to be on mission for instance, position 0.2 you have to set min value to 0.19 and max value to .21. That goes for any rotating type knob. I still need a list of of clickable commands to change switches on startup though :/ That, I have not been able to decipher yet.
  2. Unfortunately, its not. While that list is useful, its not accurate. For instance, the “Steer pt” select switch argument 473 has 3 positions and supposedly, you can set them to 0.0, 0.1 or 0.2. Position 0.0 works for steer point, but the other two positions dont work. The clickable geometry name "Lev-CDU-STEER" is incorrect. Its actually, "PNT-LVR-STEER-PT-SEL-SWITCH" Most of the other buttons I have noticed also have the wrong clickable geometry. I'm not bashing the list mind you. Its a great idea. But I need help figuring out the positions of the switches.
  3. Is there a guide out there someplace that has a list of the X: cockpit perform clickable commands? I want to have a player start on the runway but I want to have the right MFCD set to the TGP and the Steerpoint select switch set to Mission. Thanks!
  4. Yup, I'm golden now. Read through it (gui manual)and my flag questions have been answered. It was just driving me nuts because I couldnt find any guides about it anyplace. Now, if only I could figure out unit invisibility... Say I want to have a player destory a bridge... I place an infantry unit on or next to the bridge in question, set his advanced waypoint option to invisible and made sure its enabled.. but when you fly over the unit. You can still clearly see it. GUI manual wasnt clear on this.. It just said that checking the box should make it invisible to enemy AI. Anywho. After destroying the unit on the bridge it triggers an action saying the bridge is destroyed. Any suggestions?
  5. Thanks guys, I must be doing something wrong then because the paratroopers are activated on the map at mission start before the helicopters arrive.. I guess I will have to delve further.
  6. I have tried to find a guide to mission editor, but so far, haven't found one. I see a lot of pre-made missions and other users missions make heavy use of flags, but I cant find or see anywhere where the flags are assigned to a specific unit. I am for instance trying to get a group of paratroopers to appear after a helicopter gets into a specific trigger zone. I saw in the Hideout mission that there is a trigger for when the helicopters get into the trigger zone, it activates a flag and sets it to true. When I look at the paratroopers there is no indication of that flag number anywhere. Somebody mentioned in another thread about looking in the advanced options to set the flag, however, I have not been able to locate anything advanced other than advanced waypoint options. The particular paratroopers in the hideout mission have no advanced waypoint options. In short, I am totally at a loss and any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Took matters to the extreme and reinstalled windows again and steam. Everything loads really quick with no issues. Go figure :P Thanks for the help!
  8. yep, and it just keeps getting weirder. It does this for ALL of the training missions and All of the mission maps. But, I can launch the campaign. I cant unplug ALL of my USB devices. My mouse is a USB device that I need. But I will try it with out any other plugged in. I also found out that the missions are not actually frozen, Its still trying to work it just takes a REALLY long time. I am not sure how the time stamps work in your logs. I left a training mission loading all night and got up this morning and it was ready. it looks to me like its having a problem with the infrared lake shader maping. Attached is the dcs log from last nights trial. DCS.txt
  9. I was in need of a new computer anyways and just upgraded to an asus p6x58d-e, bloomfield core i7 3.2, 24gb of g skill ddr3 memory and still running my nvidia 480, windows 7 professional. Since I did all these major hardware changes, I thought I should update up my logs and directx versions. Unfortunately, the problem still exists even after retrying the previously mentioned things to try. I let the game run for approximately 20 mins after it got stuck(same location) just after giving me the yellow cross hairs, which is about 3/4 of the way loaded. I also deleted the game and re-downloaded it via steam thinking a new install might help. I tried the missions and it gets stuck in the same spot even on diffrent maps. I can play the campaign, but not being familiar with the game or controls, makes it difficult to even get the aircraft started. DxDiag.txt DCS.txt
  10. since your running on a 32 bit machine you need to follow the instructions here... http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1092529&postcount=38
  11. Followed your links and here is the info requested. DxDiag.txt DCS.txt
  12. I have the steam version of DCS a-10 and the training missions will not work. I have downloaded the latest graphic drivers for my geforce 480 fermi, verified the game files via steam. I have even deleted my saved games folder cache. I have downloaded and tried the version of training files posted here on the forums (1.08) and It still stops working 3/4 of the way through the loading process. I can usually get a Yellow + mouse icon at the point it stops. My buddy has similar issues and we can not seem to find a good resolution. I would try reinstalling the game to see if that helps, but with the DRM activations, I dont want to burn through them. Currently I'm running a Geforce 480 fermi, win 7 ultimate X64. Is anybody else having an issue with the steam client version or found a fix?
