  1. Yes, purchasing it via steam or DCS will give you a serial number to use.
  2. You just have to purhcase BS2 upgrade (or BS2 full) from Ed's site and your good to go. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en Download the BS module for world and install just like a-10. If you purchase the upgrade for BS2, be advised that it does need BS1 installed before you can install the BS2 module to world. After its installed, you can delete BS1 again. BS2 full version does not need to do that step.
  3. There are some missions that are broken from the new patch. Take the intro a-10 official training mission for example. The camera never moves, at least it does not for me.
  4. Thanks Tbag! I have updated my first post with instructions on how to integrate these missions into DCS World's training menu. I have also updated the ReadMe inside the mod and will upload it after I have checked through everything to ensure it all works properly. If you notice a problem with timings or anything else, please let me know!
  5. There are known issues with sound related triggers so, its probably not working just yet.
  6. Well, I have only had the updates installed for about an hour now. I am trying to configure everything to begin my tests. However, some preliminary testing I did has shown a problem with the narrative not working correctly on any of the modules. (a-10 or BS) I will do more research to see if its a known bug or a problem on my end. Stay tuned! *EDIT* Alright, I did some research and its apparently a known bug that should be addressed soon. See post by Mustang http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1501949&postcount=16 . For now, the narrative wont work properly, but you should still be able to read the subtitles.
  7. I apologize for the confusion. I read the question wrong. Its 1am for me and i am a bit sleepy :P As Viper said, you need both world 1.2.0 and a-10 1.2.0.
  8. To my knowledge, no. It just depends on the module you are downloading such as spanish, russian, english, ect.
  9. I have an ingame interactive training tutorial that will teach you how to input the coordinates into the CDU. See my signature.
  10. The flares I believe would be for world and not mod specific. All weapons, explosions ect are handled by world.
  11. You only need to download the a-10 module for world wich is like 750mb or so. Not the full standalone version. But, yes, you do need both to fly the a-10.
  12. Now that I can Test out BS2 in world, I will be double checking all my missions in the coming week or so to ensure compatibility with the 1.2.0 release. I don't for-see any problems, however, if you do find some, please let me know so I can get them fixed ASAP. I have been thinking about creating another mission. hmm... we shall see what comes about. I may not have much time on my hands pretty soon.
  13. Probably high traffic. I get a "enter password" message when the server is full. Just use a different link.
  14. No. Unless you installed them onto a different drive or something. But, you will still need to download the entire thing regardless. It has been a long sought after upgrade for an auto updater to download smaller bits, but so far, its not here. At present time, you are not able to create multiple client aircraft in the same flight. They must be their own flights. You can name individual units a particular flight name, but the game will consider them their own flight. Perhaps this will change in a future upgrade.
  15. The game is simulated in a way that yes you can take off from a runway after is has been bombed by a runway attack. I believe in real life, it may be much harder. If you hit a "pot hole" if will destroy your landing gear. In my experience, the AI will recognize the runway as being destroyed and not use it or take off.
  16. I am by no means an expert on the expiring keys. I have heard however, that after a certain amount of time, you will regain an installation number on the BS2 and A-10 DRM. BS2 uses the new version of the DRM and not the BS1's DRM system. Currently, you can install the a-10 into DCS: World using your steam key. If you have the a-10 standalone, or steam version, installed and install the a-10 module into DCS:world, it will auto detect your current key and carry it over without loosing a point. BS2 will be the only version available for DCS: World, not the original. Currently, only the BS2 Full version (not the upgrade) works in DCS: World. The upgrade will be available for DCS: World after it comes out of beta. Hope that answered some of your questions. *EDIT* you can also read the activations section in the quick start documentation contained in your docs folder. "Steamapps> Common> A-10> Docs" It talks about the time frame of adding activations and also what hardware specific changes will trigger another activation. You will gain an additional activation every 31 days after the initial 10 activations have been used. Keep in mind that BS1 and BS2 use two different DRM systems.

  18. I went through this with my buddy. The Donor should have an email with a copy of the serial number for you. Ask him to give you the serial. The game should be tied into your account if the ticket has been completed. You should not have any problems when you go connect to the master server via the multiplayer client. Once you have the key, you should be able to just plug it in when asked and it wont generate an error.
  19. Well, we have units that disperse under fire now. It shows progress or that something came out of it.
  20. Does Ventrillo count?
  21. It has already been said that multiple developers can release the same type of airframe and that does not exclude DCS from making that same thing either. I cant find the exact quote at the moment. 3rd party development pages have blown up recently. Origionally Posted by Wags: "There appears to be a few misunderstandings of 3rd party aircraft that have lead to some concerns. The primary one being the "watering down" of quality in the DCS brand name. A few points: 1- We are very careful about who we allow a license and we have high standards of what we will agree to publish through DCS. If a product is of low quality, it won't be integrated. 2- Except for very, very rare cases, one 3rd party choosing to do an aircraft for DCS does not preclude another 3rd party from doing the same aircraft. 3- We plan a very clear DCS branding (title) name distinction between Eagle developed DCS aircraft and those of third party. There will be no confusion of who developed the title. Thanks, Matt " So, in theory, yes, you could have multiple aircraft all from different developers in the same mission. Its my understanding that the *Theoretical Example* DCS F-18, and IRIS f-18 will be listed as separate aircraft in DCS: World.
  22. I run a Gtx 480 fermi and it runs really nice. Yours I'm sure will be fine but the rest of the comp does play an important factor.
  23. I too am an outdoors-man. I love to hike and camp and you are right, they do make some great gear. hmm... I think i am going to have to go on a hike, its been a while...
  24. Can you please post your track of this behavior?
  25. The arrow keys are not only bound under the axis menu though. Select all from the drop down menu and tap the arrow keys to make sure they are not bound to something. In DCS world: it says "Fly: left/right wing down, Fly: nose down/up". Other than that, I have no other idea :(
