  2. I also find when adding an interface line the game overwrites my altered network.cfg and replaces it with a default network.cfg with no interface line. Maybe I'm adding in the line wrong? Here's my network.cfg file. The added line is at the very end.
  3. No luck.. Removing the parentheses changing "*" to just * doesn't work. It actually appears after I do that and start up the game the game generates a new network.cfg and rewrites my altered one. When I came back from the multiplayer the network.cfg file didn't even have a interface line anymore. To be clear once again I'm trying to get the interface field to have the little down arrow and I'm able to change the IP address into one that my VPN provides me. Despite everything I've done I'm unable to change the IP address in the multiplayer screen

  5. I am unable to change the interface IP number in the multiplayer screen. I use a virtual private network program named "LogMeInHamachi" and I have previously used the IP address give to me by that program to host and play DCS sessions. I use 1.2.6 as well as 1.2.7. I have found the problem appears in both. I have forwarded both ports 10308 as well as 10309. A ED team member suggested changing the interface field within the "network.cfg" to an asterisk. The post can be found here (http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1809621&postcount=11). I opened my network.cfg and an interface field isn't there. As such I can't try the solution shown in that particular post. I'm at a loss for what to do at this time. I have previously played 1.2.6 using a VPN and I have been able to successfully setup a server using that particular IP address. I'm perplexed as to why that option is not no longer available.   6. with the new patch (1.2.7) I still can't change my interface. I used to be able to. Any ideas? I've tried all the above solutions

  8. After playing many hours on 1.2.7 I find the friendly AI when firing to be oddly specific. Under the "Long" burst setting the AI will open up at targets very far away sometimes. Under the "Short" burst setting they hold fire at the distant targets. It also seems that the conditions to fire must be very precise. Sometimes I'll do a fly by of a target and the doorgunners will engage and then other times they don't. My question is what conditions will the AI fire? At x range and under y airspeed perhaps? Do the long and short burst settings also have different engagement range settings? This is just a general observation. If a track is needed I will fly again and provide one.
  9. I agree. I've also tested it with 1.2.6 and the infantry engage each other immediately. I've made several 1.2.7 missions with infantry and they refuse to engage each other.
  10. I put two opposing sides of infantry against each other (insurgents allied with US against Georgians allied with Russia) and they do not engage each other. I'm using the latest 1.2.7 open beta. I tried setting both Rules of Engagement to weapons free but they still do not engage. The track is attached. At this time I'm not sure if this is a glitch or just my version of the game which is why this isn't posted in the Bug subforum. If this is a bug feel free to move this thread moderators. test.trk

    Figured it out thanks! You need to have the Head Movement Aiming box checked in the settings menu. This is a great patch! I've been playing all day and the features are well implemented it seems. The load times seem a little quicker than they used to be in 1.2.6 which is a huge relief. Thanks Belsimtek!

    I understand how to set the ROE and AI burst fire but I mean how to personally slew the gun back and forth. I can switch to the station but I can't move the gun. Does anyone know how to use the countermeasures? I can't get them to work

    How do you control the side gunners? I can switch to their view and I can fire but I can't move the gun at all.
  15. The new patch messed up the AI for some reason. The soldiers don't engage enemy inside the village anymore. Extremely frustrating. I'll need to fix it and then I'll upload a new version

  18. OVERVIEW The United States mounts a kill/capture mission on Russian jihadist "Muhammed Al-Zwaquari" under the cover of night. BRIEFING Evening gents. Intel reports that "Al-Zwaquari" is staying the night in a village south of Teberda. We need to take this opportunity and kill this sonnabitch while we still can. A team of Navy SEALs will be inserted into the village by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. The SEALs will kill Zwaquari then exfil out. We have already have a CIA mole in the village that will mark the LZ's for you. A F-117 is available to provide CENTCOM eyes on target as well as for CAS. Be careful. The village itself and the towns enroute are crawling with terrorists. Hit hard and hit fast. Good luck. Follow the flight plan. LZ will be marked as you approach the village. After the SEALs execute the target, pick them up at the smoke. Exfil the same way you came in. Fly low and fly fast. I tried to emulate the real life missions of the 160th SOAR and the missions they flew in the past. The mission is complete when the SEALs are picked up and the slick lands safely at the FARP. This is my first mission. Please reply to provide feedback, suggestions, or any problems. Cover picture is from the book "Find, Fix, Finish,: Inside the Counterterroism Campaigns that Killed bin Laden and Devastated Al-Qaeda by Peritz and Rosenbach". Some sounds included in this mission are from counter strike, and call of duty. If anyone feels I've overstepped my privileges of use let me know and I'll remove the offending material. Have fun!   19. after doing some testing i've confirmed that yes they do fire at a helicopter but only when it is on the ground. And it seems they don't fire any more after a few rounds. Is it possible to have them fire at aircraft in the air? And to give the unit more ammo? A script we could run to make the rpg unit fire at "player" when the helicopter is x meters/sec airspeed and y meters high?

  21. I know right? I wish the RPG units wouldn't have a bipod on their rpg's too. It makes me cringe
  22. Currently DCS world has units with a shoulder held RPG. Is there any way to allow them to fire at slow flying aircraft and helicopters? I've been flying the huey a ton and I'd love for some ground units to fire RPGs at me. Ground vehicles already fire at aircraft with their cannons and machine guns so I'm curious if we can allow rpg units to fire at us too.
