  1. Thank you all for being part on the last week's testing of the server . As we had to bring the server down many times to update it we thank also for your patience. The new features have been added in the mission. There is an issue still with the statistics script which we are close to solve. What helps on this is to join the server when it's up and try to destroy an AI (F-4 or MiG-23) and shoot some ground units. Our goal still is to start the 2nd round tomorrow (Friday) at 19:00 zulu time. Updated Changelog for the 2nd round ( We may still change features or add more based on stability of the server ) - Statistics script added in order to keep stats during the campaign - SU-27’s are now allowed to carry A-G weapons - When you capture an initially enemy city your side will get SAM & EWR also in it for better defence - MiG-21’s slots will be available when you capture an initially enemy airbase - General slots (blue & red) will be available to all airbases even if some of them are dedicated for squadrons - Squadrons were added to dedicated airbases (36th squadron will move to the Red side) - Fixed the bug of radio spamming of the F-4’s (Thanks to Maverick for the tip) - Ping limit set to 400 - Night missions will be up every 4th session (each session lasts 3 hours) - Web based map and gadget will show also the status of Cities, Airbases & FARP's (Closed etc) - Gadget with the Real time map will also show grids and UTM coordinates and mission time elapsed. - Added Barracks fortification structure to the groups that you have to destroy to close and airbase or FARP. - Pilot's lifes limitation. From now on each pilot will have a limitation on his daily "lifes" in the mission. That means that if you get shot down more than the limit allows then you will be able to fly again in the next campaign day. The number of "lifes" maintain the same if you land your aircraft back to any airbase or FARP. We added this feature to improve the kamikazi issues. Now your aircraft values more :D Fly safe! ( Current limit is set to 15 lifes per day but will increase ) * You don't lose life's if you don't take off and get destroyed in the airbase of FARP. (Vulching) Stay tuned! Greg

Hello! 1) In the pdf we note that we use the general rules that most public servers use so we shall takeoff normal but we don't use currently restrictions on this. 2)Yes :) 3)We don't use Awacs or tankers atm but maybe in the next rounds. We have Ground commanders to provide pictures and tried LoATC but unfortunately couldn't make it for this round. Greg

  5. No special real time protection but we follow other ways. We can't easily do something there as it's how DCS works default with the ground commanders. We unfortunately have to ban players if they move on actions like these after reports. What we also did is that from now on you won't be able to move easily ground groups as they include fortification units and units that can't move. That way we improve also stability which suffers if ground groups move. So even if a player wants to cheat in that way he won't be able to do much damage until he eventually will get reported and banned. Greg

  7. Hello. Unfortunately not. Just because it will be nice as a realistic scenario doesn't mean that it will work as a 24/7 campaign for many reasons including for example that the A-10C & KA-50 are owned by a great number of pilots and by dividing them in sides will increase dramatically the balance problem.   8. At this time we didn't draw the teams but most of the squadrons and lonewolves joined their sides depending what they fly most (F-15 or SU-27). So it would be up to the squadrons and lonewolves that fly also the SU-27 to join the red side. Greg

The reason is that if more than 2 clients try to spawn on FARP's they usually collide and it causes issues such as frame drop etc. You would be more dissapointed if somebody crashes on you as he respawn and fill debris the FARP :D Also if you will find any chopper on hot start at an airbase it's cause the parking slots are not enough for aircraft and choppers at it.   11. Hello all! As Xcom said we focus on the preparation of the 2nd round in order to ensure stability on its release. We shall really soon ask a moderator to close this thread and will open a new one dedicated to the 2nd round which will contain the changelog and the new pdf guide. Registrations continue with the same way as before. Squadrons and pilots registrations of the 1st round will be transferred for the 2nd round without the need of registering again.   18. Hello! Thanks for the feeback Rivvern. About the lag yes. The ground movement produced an issue yesterday and once we spotted we took care of it. But I think it was for 10 minutes. Trying to improve things to prevent this. We believe that passwording the server won't make it as interesting as it is and it won't change much things like this as registered and squadron members are involved also in such tactics. So they will be in again with the password :D What we try and will do as Xcom said in previous messages is to implement features that make your aircraft worthy so you don't see kamikaze events etc. We did it in the past but couldn't add it in this event due to performance issues. Working on it. Overall we believe that the issues can only be solved with features and not by rules etc cause they can lead to frustration and the events won't be such interesting as they are now.   24. No the maintenance in the server is not done unfortunately yet. It's scheduled for tomorrow. Only nights were added until now. Choppers will be up tomorrow along with newly register squadrons slots. Greg
