These events as you say "force" everybody in a good way to deal with strategies and tactics that would be not necessary in other occasions. Squadrons must check their active members readiness, their aircraft availability (who flies choppers at a specific moment etc) and eventually take part in the big picture by coordinatig with the other squadrons and lonewolves at specific timezones. It's really different from a limited time event when you control everything and have more time to think. Most of the lonewolves are acting like squadrons until now and had a great impact in the campaign and as Xcom said will be worked in the near future to help them enjoy more their missions. As this campaign showed that it's needed by the DCS Community and the Sim community in general we simple cann't leave people out of this like by setting limitations. What we can do and will is to keep working on implementing stuff by default DCS functions or scripts to help issues been worked out. We tried to bring this to DCS from our past experience step by step and we got here after some time. That means that as this is the first step we can move forward by adding features and eventually get to better levels time to time. The nice thing is that we mostly get positive or negative feedback with valid points and not whining which can make these events better. So thanks for that. Greg

Hey the labels mod is not needed in the server as the mission has no labels on. Maybe you saw this for the ace of spades event? (it's not needed there also anymore) Greg

Hey. A 24/7 campaign can not be balanced during all days as it simulates a war . But I can assure that we lost Vody and Mozdok when reds were almost on same numbers with blue. North amerikan pilots joined red side though. Let's fight until the end :)

It's war... If you fail your task you get punished... We didn't make it yesterday due to the strong defence of blue fighter pilots. This morning our pilots defended but didn't manage to stop the coordinated attacks. I was there in tears when we lost vody during night time. :P Well done blue side! We will keep it up. We will never surrender!!! :P

Believe me I am watching the server very often as I check for crashes etc :) It's also a fact that also blue pilots say about red majority in videos and posts so it depends on pilots view depending on his gameplay timezones. Others thought the campaign would stuck and others that it will end very soon. We are here to see what will happen and having fun in the between. About ground weapons it would be not a good strategy in my opinion to spend the su27 slots with a-g loadout. See you there we need to defend now :) Greg

Hello! Unfortunately we prefer not to add more waypoints. The reason is that they increase the mission file and the aircraft units inside the mission reached at a number that does not leave us a choice. So as you say we have to use the kneeboard and the F10 map to design our paths. Greg

We were a bit unlucky today having 3 crashes from 14:00 zulu to 20:00 zulu but we think we spotted the issues and took measures. Other than that I believe we had another intensive day :) We took into account your feedback and tested in the backround some additions to the mission that will be available in the next maintenance of the server. New features / Changes - Day & Night mission time As the missions restart every 3 hours they will now change also their times and will eventually lead to some night sessions too. -Helicopters will also be available as bonus also when you capture an enemy airbase. In addition to the 2x bombers you get when you capture an enemy airbase you are now going to have also choppers (2x KA-50s, 2x Transport) available to use. - Air defence in captured city When you capture an initially enemy city you will get air defence units also when it gets repaired. This will help the sides to keep the cities a bit easier to their side as the enemy will have to SEAD also. (SA-8's , SA-13's & Manpads) Squadrons which will be assighned in the next maintenance: Fighting 99th TAW Squadron 57 Squadron FF Firmament Fighters Task Force - Akula (TF-A) 76th TASK FORCE BLACK JACKS

Not the aircraft itself but the airbases slots are limited. Now count how many squadrons join and how many slots we need for lonewolves. They all need fighters, A-10C's , MiG-21s, SU-25Ts for SEAD and of course choppers. Now try to fit SU-25s and A-10As also there :) Didn't say it won't enter in the near future but it's just needs time to add one by one in.

Hey guys. The most easy thing to us was and is to add more aircrafts and features. The difficult part is to balance between features and performance breakdown. And the first that performance issues would dissapoint would be all of you that would wait to enter the server. You may not think that a small addition could add issues but even a specific type of AI or aicraft could cause them if you don't pay attention. So please keep giving us feedback and be sure that we will add more stuff in as the campaign rolls that you will enjoy. Thanks a lot for the feedback and ideas so far. Stay tuned. Greg

Yes it's allowed. You have to note though that the mission restarts every 3 hours so the runways won't have any damage after a restart. So it depends on the pilots to decide if a runway strike fits to their strategy :)

Hello. No mate it works with another way. You can see in the map inside the pdf or inside the mission briefing which shows the initial status of the airbases (I mean day 1 e.g. Sochi Blue etc) . Then near it's airbase you can see icons of the aircraft you gain when you capture it as a bonus. (e.g. 2x SU-25T's or 2x A-10C's) So how it basically works is this. All aircraft types are available in the initially red and blue airbases. If the red coalition captures a blue airbase then they get only 2x aircraft as bonus to operate from there. There won't be any others like choppers or fighters . This is done to promote tactics and to ensure that there won't be fighters extremely near enemy airbases etc. Greg

Hello Frostie! Thanks for the feedback. What we really like so far is the comments and dedication to the side's main goals of each group and pilot. Keep it up! Yes we optimised a lot of things since the stress tests and the first feedback from you all to reduce lags and server issues which we hope to improve more. Now the server seems crashing ~2-3 times per day which I think it's normal due to the amount of people and events handling. Also if a crash occures near a server normal restart then it does not harm too much as it would restart anyway. Mostly we try to avoid crashing during the 3 hours sessions. As far for the lag there are some things that lag the server for sure such as trying to move groups when +45 people are in etc. Since the announcement to avoid these actions we saw great improvement. Pilot related issues (I mean lagging themself and not from the server) are mostly there cause of low fps and pc problems in our opinion and not from the pings. You get the same results if your screen freezes and if you have high ping. The other pilots see you warping the same. We reduced some things like smokes etc to help in this issue also. The less kamikaze missions issue was improved in our previous campaigns by setting warehouses limitations and a feature that helped us a lot was the 0 fuel start. Pilots had to refuel each time (was a little disturbing but helped) so their sorties were reduced and they had to organise their flights more before take off. The thing is that the normal DCS warehouses editing is possible in missions with not much scripts and units as they increase the mission file. In our first version we had warehouses that if you captured them then they would help you get more assets. So each side had to plan and work more on resources. But that had a disadvantage in performance. So we had to leave it for now. Maybe 1.5 will improve this. About the passworded server it's a bit complicated as from our experience ( mostly in other sims) in order to have a good number of players in all the time during the day and night you shall have a number of +200 players registered. Some squadrons may have large number of players but may be available mostly during the weekend etc. By having the server free we can have more competition in and we have the reserved slots which solves this issue. Regarding the timezones we have an interesting thing in which the red side is greater in numbers at ~10:00 to 18:00 zulu time and the blue side greater at ~00:00 till 06:00 zulu. It balances in the between. So both sides have their chances to act aggressively and defend on different phases. We will keep you all informed about next moves etc. Night missions are for now in (2x sessions each campaign day) so this can make things more spicy :) Hey, when an airbase is captured then you can use it's aircraft when it's repaired so yes ;) Greg

Morning, noon, evening , night.. So eventually we will get night missions also! Yes of course that would be interesting. TAW will get their dedicated airbase and slots along with Fighting 99th, 57 Squadron & FF Firmament Fighters in the next maintenance of the server. Greg

Yes the pak status radio option is a known issue but should be ok in the next versions of the mission. You just have to select the first one till then. Can you tell us which unit you were flying when you got wrong messages,? Thanks for the feedback. Greg
