Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
gregzagk replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Ciribob is doing a great job as he was "forced" to get involved with everything (scripting, mission editor, servers etc) in order to get the server ready for testing . Getting the mission file ready and tweaking it was my task but unfortunately I have zero free time at the moment. Please provide constructive feedback and be patient  Greg -

Hello, Do you mean that the AI gunners and pilot are not firing to targets? Have you changed their menu to "free fire"? Thanks Greg -

Yes, the mission needs unfortunately much tweaking. Sorry for that. It should be ok in the following days. Most important for now is to test if everything works as intended (spawn sequence, performance etc). Greg -

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

Current version issues: - Only a few airbase aircraft slots are available. Adding more as we go. - All areas have targets but their types and position need a lot of tweaking. Please be patient. - Helicopter bases are not ready. Some helicopter slots are available though. Greg -

Ah no, all fighters shall be available. We plan to open the server tonight for initial testing. There's not enough free time to manage it better but it should be ready in a slower pace. Greg -

The goal is to give strategic options to both sides meaning that capturing an asset is not only important for final victory, but also for sustaining the war. Road bases will include airframes that can take off from roads (e.g. viggen) and can reduce distances when you plan an attack. Sam sites will mostly provide safe zones as you can take cover under a SAM umbrella. Fuel bases will actively play role in refueling airbases. Previously we had AI transport aircraft carrying fuel. Now we plan to have these bases along with cargo transport by UH-1H/ Mi-8s. It's still WIP so some things probable will change but we are getting there. Greg -
Hello, they won't be mentioned in the patch notes as far as I know. The files are sent to ED and they get them into their update batches. Will check if they are already in otherwise I guess they probable be there on Friday. Thanks. Greg

Thanks, I tried to reproduce the AI issues but didn't get the same problems during my tests. Will keep trying though to nail it down. Congrats again for reaching in the final mission  Greg

"ARGO" DCS UH-1H SP Campaign - Upcoming DLC
gregzagk replied to gregzagk's topic in UH-1H Argo Campaign
Thanks a lot! Especially for the feedback during the missions. I am working on a Nevada UH-1H Campaign concept right now. The goal is to get it to the same level and improve any flows based on the Argo feedback. Will announce its details once it gets an official status. Thanks again. Greg -
Very nice, thank you! Greg
-
Thanks! Will check it out in the evening. I think too that it has to do with the AI so will try to find an alternative to avoid any possible issues. Btw congrats for reaching the final mission :) Greg
-
Thanks will fix asap. Greg
-
It's improved already. Distances etc. Should be available in the next update. It's pretty random as it didn't happen to most of the players. That's why it's a minor issue and not a reproducable bug that stops the campaign from progressing. Greg
-
Hello, they should be in the next dcs update but which one is a showstopper? They seem really minor and many reached to the final mission ;) Greg
-
:D Don't underestimate yourself. The campaign was tested (apart from the ED testing team) from various players that had different experience. One of them had just bought the Huey and managed to complete the missions. He had to try more than the others but still managed to get it through in the end and got rewarded by the experience he earned. Someone who completed the UN Campaign and flies the Huey since it's release should have no problem. Some of the missions may seem unrealistic. The thing is that similar missions were executed in real life even if they are not much discussed in public. There were wrong orders but still the crews had to execute them as they couldn't just "skip" their task. Not 100% accurate of course as this is a simulator that you can just restart the mission, but still at the same dangerous level. Sadly there is a recent real life example in which a Huey crashed while flying low in similar conditions and task as mission 4. It crashed on power cables. Greg

Factory & UAV spots are not reasonable for me ?
gregzagk replied to K4nnix's topic in UH-1H Argo Campaign
They are mostly visual references that could help during your navigation and get familiar with the area. You have to check the briefing pictures and try to spot them. As the guys said you can use your kneedboard also. Greg -
Thanks, will include the fix in the updated missions. Greg
-
Hmm will try to reproduce it but as said if there is a bug like this, it's more likely it's connected to the UH-1H module and not the campaign itself. Thanks for reporting. Will check asap and will report to the Huey section if needed. Greg
-
Hey, thanks. Yes it can be triggered by the damage trigger but I avoided it cause it can lead to frustration (e.g. if you slightly damage the chopper and the mission is considered as a failure even if the damage is minor). The thing is that you can't continue to complete the mission with your current status so I think it's ok right? Greg
