Please don't. The 80s scenario is probably the most interesting one in the history of military aviation. Don't ruin it with unhistorical planesets like A10C and Su-25T or Su-33. If you have people compaining about an 80s planeset on an 80s scenario server, they are definetely the wrong people on the server. Balance is absolutely no problem here! I'd say the 80s scenario with its original planes is by far the most balanced scenario one can have. A-10A vs. Su-25, F-15 vs. MiG-29 and Su-27, both with All Aspect IR and SARH missiles. If that is not a balanced set-up, what is? It is certainly much more fun than the AMRAAM volleys on other servers! I'd love a realistic 80s server!!!

Despite having bought all modules so far to support the devs, I'm only proficient in operating the Huey currently. I can of course fly the FC3 aircraft, but winning a fight with them against an opponent who knows what he's doing is out of the question. I am working on my "type rating" and "combat ready status" for the F86 at the moment, i.e. I want to get proficient on that aircraft. However, that is only until the Viggen is out. THAT aircraft is what I really want to master! F/A-18 and/or F-14 are probables too, however the Viggen will have absolute priority over all the others.

Another "fictional" skin idea: Would somebody consider doing a Swedish AF skin for the Hawk, maybe as used on the Saab 105 (SK60)?

Would somebody of the skin wizards consider doing a fictional Swedish AF Sabre skin? Maybe in the style of the Saab J29 "Tunnan"?

I second this point. Mission-building with precise object placement is really frustrating in the current state. Object placement should work like in the old IL-2 mission builder with direct placement "in-game", plus with a small screenshot for each object in the selection menue.

Hello, I'm new to this forum; I like FC2, haven't tried BS and A10C, because I'm interested in Cold War era planes and weaponry. Air Combat and ground pounding is much more fun without AMRAAM and JDAM in my eyes, so here's my suggestion for the DCS team: Try a cold war spin-off with a few planes like the F-4E/F/G, the Tornado, F14 and F/A-18A/C on the western side, and MiG-21, MiG-23 and MiG-25 on the eastern side. Those planes in addition with the ones we already have in FC2 (F15, A-10A, MiG-29, Su-25 and Su-27) should be rather easy to do research on, as some of them are already out of service. Not that much classified information. This also applies to the AAM employed in this era. Greets Richard
