[slow downloads via torrent and 503 errors on http]

Hi all

 

I am trying to download blackshark 2

 

the http links gave me 503 error so I have decided to download via torrent at 3 - 4 kb second

 

13 day download :(

 

are there any other options ?

Hi all

 

I have purchased BS2, but wanted to get some practice in on my BS1 that I have never really used but I have no sound ingame. It works fine in settings and I hear the tune, but as soon as I enter the game no sounds at all.

 

I use a wireless headset but have also tried with my speakers on the desk but no joy.

 

Tried the search function but could not find anything relevant, any help appreciated.

best way to see if there is a problem would be to post a track or the mission file to see if we can replicate :)

do you start in the air or do you start on the ground cold start ?

 

also is this a self made mission or playing around with one that has already been made ?

 

If you change them in the editor they should work in the mission, double check the mission in the editor.

 

I would attach the mission and let one of us have a look :)

Freetrack works great

 

Iused a plastic coat hangar as a clip and a metal coat hangar as a frame, 3x IR LED's and a battery pack from one of my son's toys ( he may notice one day lol )

 

Works great on my wireless headset :)

TGP is in ccd mode by default change it using the boat switch

Big thing to remember

long means a long press

short means a short press

 

just double check your hotas assignments in your controls and add your modifiers

I started with a cyborg x, and until you get a hotas you don't realise what you are missing.

 

I spent £40 on an old saitek x45 on ebay, best money I have ever spent ( and I am a tight lol )

the trouble I find is that the website will not allow me to login using google chrome or internet explorer.

 

The only way I can login to see my keys is using internet explorer 64bit. then I can see my keys.

I don't think your dive angle was steep enough, for lower level runs it would be better to use the 5mill method or 3/9

 

have another go and start at a higher altitude with a steeper dive :)

BIGNEWY, I've been using just know one command which is Ctrl + Up. I didn't know there was a Long version of it because I remember trying Ctrl + Up Long every once in a while, but nothing visibly happened on the MFD. I admit I don't read manual, and scavenge this forum for weapon delivering guide and if I can't find anything or too complicated then I'd just not use that weapon. I know I suck at this and it's why I can't wait for DCS: Fighter. Just lock and unload.

 

No worries, When anyone say's Long its just a longer press on the key, so TMS forward short is a short press and TMS forward long is a longer press :thumbup:

are you doing TMS forward long when in AREA mode to set your SPI ?

It said in the patch notes all you have to do is re-enter the modifier button and should be back to normal. Then again if yours got change to a different button physically I guess that doesn't help, lol.

 

yes I messed up, don't know why my modifier changed, all back to normal now :)

I have had to redo my saitek x45 control profile as the saved one I had did not work.

 

Seems the modifier button has changed on mine from button7 to button107, but no problem sorting that out :)
