@Stefan: Yes, the CAD-file would be nice, maybe my printerguy can use it. Sure, there is a way to bring it straighter to the A-10. But I am not so perfectionist like others, I am happy if my panels work. Also my knobs are way different .. but they do their work. I like on the actual design that you can use a metallstripe as a handle, on the realthing from deathman you need also the metallhandle to be made professionel with the 3 clamps around the handle. As told, I am not the handcraftsman ... so easy and good looking is my main thing , some might call it lazy ;-) Looking forward for gadrocs informations but will also try to get the knobs by time. The diameter is 52mm ... so you are near by :) The hole for the handle is 10mm by 5 mm. I have all respect for deathman´s work and I know, this guy is a 100% pro ! I dont have all the tools and materials he has, therefor my solution will not be as perfect but better to handle. I bought deathmans knobs but cant use them so far due there are no drills in and I am not able to drill them perfectly. The printer-guy made already some parts for my pinballmachines and it is unbelievable. he is not active in sims, nor in pinball but understood 100% what I want: A solution to bring a LED in, let the whole think light red on use and bring a handle on to connect with a switch. I will let you know on the prototype ! Cheers Tom

Es kommt keine Abfrage ob es etwas aktuelleres gibt und ich bkn immer noch bei 1.2.1.x Vielleicht habe ich zu viele Dateien geändert .... Hi all I tried to find an payable, good looking knob for the landing gear. No success ... so I gave one in order from a professionell firm modelling in 3D. It will be printed with a 3d printer :) The material will be clear. It will be made out of 2 halfs and glued together. There is space for a red 5 mm LED There will be a "snake" for the led to bring the light 360 degrees There will be space for a metall shaft and a drill for fixing the shaft The outside will be "antigrip" , riffled The muster was a picture from ebay :music_whistling: If interested, let me know. A prototype will be ordered next week. Price will be around 25 - 30 Euro incl. a red LED and glued together. Shipping worldwide. Let me know what you think :pilotfly:

Yessa, Hans , thats what I meaned :) I use this in a test as a 4 switch knob ( steer page on right console) and it works well thru HELIOS. For the comms the encoder are better ! CU Tom

Thanks again for your time. My VHF AM settings are working as described from you directly on A-10 not on Helios. Great ! The blue encoders I have are also from Leo Bodnar, I ordered them byside the encoders you described with a regular pushbotton and without it. I connected one of them for testing, they do the same but only need 2 wires. I also started today my light-panel. But on this i use potentiometer due the Brydling board provides enough connections for potis. Bad side, the setup in Helios again. I have setup them all, but if I use them A-10 reacts very very slow on inputs from the potis ans sometimes crashes. Maybe some faults in .. Back to your pit ! I am looking forward to see the right side ! Mine is about in the same stage. I started with stickers as panels and now I change them step by step with lasered panels. At least they do the same work ... and making the panels is also hobby :thumbup:. Keep on the nice work and let us see .... I will also post next week my pit, have to work the whole weel. Very nice setup !! Maybe you can help me with the Brodnar BBI-32. I would like to use it. I have the board and several encoders. The blue ones with "2 feet" and the ones with "3 feets". How to use them f.eks. for the radios ?! With or without HELIOS ? I just made a short try but di not understand really how they work. I have had a look in my thread where you started giving me the right direction. So I have to use all "3 feets" of the encoders. Cheers Tom

Früher war alles viel früher :) Ich kenne auch noch auf dem 386er FluSi die mit 5 Disketten ausgekommen sind. Aber da liegt auich der Reiz des Ganzen. Vor 15 Jahren etwas habe ich die F-16 versucht zu fliegen, alles Tastaturshorties ... ein Graus. Nach 14 Jahren Pause dann habe ich die A-10 für mich entdeckt: Klickbares Cockpit .. wie endgeil. Helios ... der Hammer, Touchscreen, Panels, TFS3, TrackIR. Eine Zeit lang habe ich mit dem MS FS geliebäugelt und bin nun sehr happy mich für was militärisches entschieden zu haben. Grafik und Bedienung sind halt top. Gruss Tom

Mit Sicherheit ! Aber wir hatten ja auch die K5000 GraKa eingebaut und die ist HighEnd, steuert bei der Formel1 etliche Monitore an ... und in nem FluSim hat sie voll versagt. naja, die Monis sind zurück bei Amazon und ich simme wieder mit einem Monitor .. irgendwie fehlt mir Dank TrackIR auch nicht wirklich was.

I use it with A-10 ..... awsome ! Just great, will not miss it. From the scratch with actual version the effects are very good, just missing the landing gear feedback in my back :)

Noch ein Tip, auch wenn ich nicht weiter bin als Du, "Qualmwolken" hielt ich immer für brennende Ziele meiner Wingman. Es sollen aber Abgaswolken sein, im Singleplayer sehe ich Fahrzeuge und Panzer zuerst meist (visuell) durch deren Abgasfahne. Gruss Tom ... momentan ohne Router :noexpression:

Yes, .. that was it ! Took a knife and everything is fine. BTW: Anyone using 2 BA256A13 with Helios ? I divided my panels and have now one panel connected on the right sind and 3 on the left side. For any reason in Helios it took over 30 (!!) seconds until a command from a switch was accepted by DCS. After several hours I changed the "time how often Helios checks for updates" in the A-10 setting of helios from 15 to 10 and now it works. This just for info if someone else haveing problems with settig up two controllers. Will see what happens if the Brodnar controller arrives :) Thanks again !

Hi Niclas Thanks for your fast reply ... as always ! :thumbup: I mean, if I connect a panel with several switches and push button 31 , also 32 is pushed. I contril this via Helios (Add interface / A0022) and see all buttons graphical. I push 32 and 31 is also pusehed. And the same thing with all the others. It is only on this self soldered board, on the other board everything works well. therefor its not a diode or something with the button.

Me again ;) I soldered my second B256A13 this days and have a strange behavior: 32/32, 63/64, 47/48, 112/112 and 79/89 are closed both if I use a switch on this connectors. I changed the boards and also the RAM-chip for veryfiing, reloaded several times the firmware. I checked also my soldering for bridges between pins with no luck so far. Do you have any idea for me ? Bad Soldering on an other place ?! Also Helios is confused, the boards do not popup as A0022 and A0042, they appear as A0022 1 , A0022 2, A0022 3 and A0022 4. This is a little confusing but I got them both working fine with Helios ... expect this "doubled pins". Any help is welcome ! I am not a master in soldering, maybe there is the bug ... At least for A-10 and TrackIR I have a zoom on the Z-Axis. Options/Controls/TrackIR/Zoom>> Z-Axis. Maybe it helps ? Or without TrackIR ? ...

Okay ... das sollte mit Helios machbar sein.

Definiere mal Panel .... Monitor ? Ein Panel ist gemeinhin bei Flugzeugen eine "Bedieneinheit" , das kann verwirren. Über Exports kannst du Instrumente bzw. MFDs exportieren wie Du lustig bist aber IMO nicht auf Knopfdruck. Da brauchst du dann schon Helios und es sollte mit Tastenkombis oder Mausklick gehen. AERO ist eine Desktopeinstellung unter Windows, die braucht Helios um etwas schneller zu sein. Zum Verständnis, auf dem unteren Monitor läuft Helios und ich kann alle Funktionen der A-10 über den Touchscreen steuern. Die MFD´s werden auf diesen Monitor von A-10 exportiert ... Platzierung und Größe sind frei zu wählen. Seitenbedienpanele werden über "versteckte Punkte" eingeblendet oder ausgeblendet. Das Funkmenü wird bei betätigen des Mic-Buttons am HOTAS aufgepoppt.

Such mal hier im Forum oder auf youtube nach HELIOS, dann siehst du welche Möglichkeiten es bietet. Ich empfehle dir einen Touchscreen, dann kannst du alle Funktionen und Bordcomputer darüber steuern. Seitenpanels kann man "verschwinden" lassen und mit einem Touch wieder hervorholen. ist schon genial .. muss man sich aber mit beschäftigen. Für mich war die Anschaffung des TS neben dem TrackIR das sinnvollste. Heliosforum: http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/ Aber auch hier gibt es viel Hilfe zu Helios und der Autor liest auch hier mit. Also im int. teil des Forum ! DCS muss nicht im Windowed Modus laufen, aber Aero muss an sein für Helios. Alt+1 drücken ist doof. Ein Fingertip ist da eleganter ... und zwischen den MFCDs steuere und blättere ich mit dem HOTAS, ebenso SOI setzen , etc. Helios ist schon ne coole Sau :)
