It is so intresting and much fun to read all your posts and what the hell you figure out !! :thumbup: Due I am back on 2 screens I use my TrackIR Z-axis again for a cool zoom. I know .. its kind of chaeting but I am nearly 45 years of age ... so its allowed ;) However ... a nice tool !!

Lucky you :) Ich habe heute nochmal 3 Stunden im SimPit gesessen und nur rumexperimentiert. Ich bin nun zu dem Entschluss gekommen, dass die Multi-Monitor-Erfahrung für mich doch sehr ernüchternd war. Als Fazit hatte ich bei mittleren Einstellungen nun 25 bis 30 fps aber es war und ist eine gruselige Ruckelorgie auf den beiden äußeren Monitoren. habe gerade die Rücksendeformulare ausgefüllt und morgen gehen die 2 Monitore zurück. Die eyefinity6 habe ich mal bei amazon eingestellt und werde mir dann statt der Monitore und der eyefinity6 eine bessere GraKa holen und bei 2 Monitoren und TrackIR bleiben. Das war mal ein netter Ausflug um ein paar Erfahrungen zu sammeln, aber vor lauter konfigurieren kommt man ja nicht mehr zum fliegen. Davon ab brummt mir nach 10 Minuten im Pit der Schädel da das setup doch ziemlich an die Augen ging wegen der doofen Ruckelei. Freut sich auch Frauchen, dann ist im Arbeitszimmer wieder etwas mehr Platz bei nur einem Cockpit-Monitor ... ach bin ich doch ein guter Mann :thumbup:

@INR212: Ne, leider nicht, ich habe keine Gauges für Helios. Ich habe nur meine Monis so konfiguriert das die Mustagn auf den beiden mittleren läuft, so kann ich alles mit der Maus und TrackIR bedienen. Habe die Mustang aber nicht mehr installiert. @Quax Werde ich mir mal genauer anschauen, Danke für den Hint. Ich hatte gerade Besuch von einem Freund der prof. mit NVIDIA Multimonitor-Systemen arbeitet. Er hatte eine K5000 Karte dabei die wohl um die 2000 Euro kostet. Hat nichts gebracht .... alles genau so mies wie mit meiner 230 Euro-Karte. War sehr ernüchternd ob mit oder ohne SoftTH, keine "FrameParty" und immer noch geruckel auf den äusseren Monitoren.

+1 Would be great, I have my 4 monitor setup nearly working, but the radio menu appears in the upper right corner, so I get a stiff neck while looking on them ... toooo far away for my old eyes :music_whistling:

Mhh ... kann ich mehr machen als ein Standartprofil wählen und halt die Ausrichtung mal zentrieren ?! Ich denke dem TrackIR ist es egal wieviele Monitore ich angeschlossen habe ... bis auf den Zoom funktioniert er wie immer. Gruss Tom

Hi Ho Leider ändert die SnapviewDefault.lua nichts. Mein Problem bleibt gleich. Ohne Zoom auf der Z-Axis des trackIR geht es, aber mir fehlt halt der Zoom. Mit dem Zoom ist alles viel zu groß. Zu Beginn einer Quick-Mission geht der Zoom zurück, wenn diese "Animation" beendet ist springt der Blick wieder auf das viel zu große Cockpit. Ich hänge mal 2 files an. 4monizoom ist mit aktivem Zoom auf der Z-Achse, 4moninozoom entsprechend ohne ... 4moninozoom.trk 4monizoom.trk

Ahhh ... okay , dann viel Erfolg dem Project ! Ich dachte ED haut wieder was schnell auf den Markt :music_whistling:

Vielen Dank, schaue ich bei Zeiten mal rein, bin leider beruflich momentan eingespannt. Es geht um die A-10 , wie beschrieben bei 3 Cockpit-View-Monitoren und Zoom auf der TrackIR Z-Achse wird alles riesig gross. Schaue ich mir mal an, jetzt wo die FPS passen. Nächste Woche kommt ein Kumpel der professionelle MultimonitorLösungen vertreibt mal mit ner GForce-Karte, leider hat der es nicht mit Spielen, mehr mit Messe-Bespaßung, aber mal schauen was er anschleppt.

Gut gemacht !!! Dankeschön ..... :thumbup: Persönlich denke ich jedoch die sollten vielleicht mal die A-10 komplett bugfrei bekommen bevor sie die nächste Banana-Soft rausprügeln. Geht mir ein bisserl auf den Keks. Verkaufen ja, Support .. naja ....

Hehe .... finde die SU auch nur nett um mal schnell was über die Landschaft zu düsen, der "Star" ist und bleibt die A-10. Mustang und das Panzerding habe ich nur geholt um ED zu unterstützen und sind in der 1.21 nicht mehr installiert. A-10 rulezzz :)

Sehr cooles pit :thumbup: Ich habe heute nochmal gestartet und festgestellt, dass die neue Update-Funktion immer die Originalfiles wieder herstellt ... gruselig. Ich nutze Exports und peterP´s "mo mfcd´s tweak". Faszinierend ... heute hatte ich zwischen 30 und 40 fps und habe den mittleren Moni auch mal etwas weiter weg gestellt. Kommt besser nun. Einziges Problem, vielleicht hat wer eine Idee ... TrackIR: Schalte ich den Zoom auf der Z-Achse aus ist alles okay halt ohne zoom. Aktiviere ich den ist das Cockpit immer viel zu gross. kann man da auch was einstellen ?! ich hätte gerne die normale Sicht und beim nach vorne lehnen den Zoom ... aber nicht von Anfang an diesen Killer-Zoom den ich auch nicht mit nach vorne beugen und kalibrieren weg bekomme. Blöd zu beschreiben ! Gruss Tom .. wird dann wohl mal die graKa aufrüsten ...

I found a strange behavior with the new update function ... every time I start an update all my viewports are gone but copied to a folder "backup00". In this folder are exactly those files I use for my exports and "no mfcd´s view".

Beneidenswerte fps !! Ich nutze eine selbsterstellte monitor.lua da ich durch den Touchscreen mit Helios ja noch die Exports bestimmen und platzieren muss. Heute Abend werde ich mir das nochmal anschauen ... habe erfahren das man bei Amazon die Monis bis zu 4 Wochen nach Erhalt zurückschicken kann .. gibt ja was Luft :) Ich liebe das Fernabsatzgesetz ;)

Hi Mir geht es sehr ähnlich wie dir, ich habe seit 3 Tagen auch mein Pit mit 4 Monitoren hier. 3 x 27" und 1 x 24" Touch mit Helios. Dank der Hilfe im englischen Teil des Forums, vor allem PeterP, habe ich den ganzen Spaß auch mehr oder weniger ans laufen bekommen. Um es vorweg zu nehmen, ich baue wieder ab und schicke 2 Monitore wieder zurück. SoftTH ist eine Software die es ermöglicht die unmöglichsten Monitorkonfigurationen einzubinden und soll angeblich den einen oder anderen Frame mehr rausholen, vor allem kann man DCS fullscreen laufen lassen. Infos: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71710 Eyefinity: Ich habe eine Radeon 6870 Eyefinity6 , diese hat 6 Mini DisplayPorts. Mit aktiven Adaptern konnte ich so sehr einfach alle 4 Monitore anschliessen. Auf dem Windowsdesktop kann ich diese nun zu einer Grppe zusammenfassen udn habe so nur noch einen großen virtuellen Monitor. Das spielt für DCS eigentlich keine Rolle, ich hatte es am laufen sowohl mit als auch ohne Eyefinity. Jetzt kommt der Haken an der Sache, warum ich wohl aufgebe. Entweder ist der Rechner zu schlapp oder die GraKa (ich weis, ist kein highend !!). Mit SoftTH hatte ich gestern bei mittleren Einstellungen was um 25 bis 29 fps. Das ist eigentlich ausreichend und auf dem Hauptmonitor sieht es gut aus, aber auf den beiden Äüßeren ist es eine gruselige Ruckelshow. Vielleicht auch weil die Teile eine Reaktionszeit von 8 ms haben. Das geht irgendwie garnicht, wobei ich mich frage ob ich erst noch die GraKa aufrüsten soll oder in den Sack haue. Im Spiel hat man auch nicht wirklich was von 3 Monis. Ich nutze auch TrackIR und hatte bisher einen Zoom auf der Z-Achse (nach vorne lehnen). Das war super hilfreich, geht aber mit 3 Monis auch nicht mehr, alles wirkt immer riesengross. Eine Alternative für mich wäre es , den 50 Zoll mal aus dem Wohnzimmer anzuschleppen oder mir einen guten 28 Zoll mit höherer Auflösung zu holen, mit TrackIR sicher auch keine dumme Idee. Zum Thema Miltimonitor und Exports für Helios kommst du nicht daran vorbei im englischen Teil zu posten und zu lesen. Hier im deutschen Teil ist leider recht wenig los, die Biben und Mädel hier fliegen lieber als das sie schreiben. Ich hoffe das ist ein wenig Aussicht ... zu fast allem wurde im Forum was geschrieben und beschrieben. mal besser mal schlechter. Ich bin nicht so der Computerfreak und muss entsprechend oft nachfragen da mein Level deutlich unter dem des SimBauer-Durchschnitt ist. Ich wünsche dir viel Erfolg, poste mal deine Fortschritte. Hi again ... Tried your first config with this monitor setup. Result is the cockpit is over all 4 monitors, on the lower monitor hidden from Helios. MFCD export works to the lower monitor. This night I tried around with eyefinity, one screen 5760 x 1080 and one 1920 x 1080. On one point I have had it up and running the cockpit on the upper 3 monitors and Helios on the lower monitor. It was perfect but when I used TrackIR I have had only a big big HUD and UFC on the screen. Without TrackIT it was okay. But while frickeling around I destroyed this setting and found it never again. Other bad thing ... FPS are on middle options setting with and without SoftTH around 18 to 25 fps. It seems that my gpu and cpu are to weak for a 4 monitor setup. I will try it out the weekend but I think I have to send the monitors back and buy just one better monitor with higher resolution than 1920x1080 instead. BTT: Please, can you give me some advice how to tweak the screens to display only on the upper 3 monitors the cockpit and my Helios on the lower one ?! Thanks again Tom EDIT: I have it working. Just changed the aspect in the monitor.lua to 5760x1080 and disabled a zoom on the z-axis from TrackIR. Tested High-Resolution and Medium Resolution so far. FPS between 17 and 28 .... the center screen is looking good but the outside are horrible shifting the pixels. What are u guys thinking about my hardware ... too weak for 4 monitors ?! Maybe will try one 50" screen instead of 3 x 27" ...

Hi again I set the monitors as you described , 3 in a row and the touchscreen under them. The resolution is what the SoftTH setup program gave me as output. I tried the last 2 hours eyefinity but if I use all monitors in a row for eyefinity the touchscreen will not work with Helios ... also I am not pro enough to specify SoftTH for use with eyefinity. I thought SoftTH would be the easier way to setup the monitors. If you remember, in a 2 screen solution SoftTh did not work for me due to fading cockpit .. but this is an other topic. Actual SoftTH config: But with this config DCS tries to bring the whole cockpit on both , upper and lower, monitor. Helios is over the lower part of the cockpit. That is not what I want ... :) But it seems that I have to choose the same resolution in A-10 as in SoftTH. I would like to run 5760 x 1080 for the cockpit and 1920 x 1080 for Helios. With update I mean, that I have every time I change the monitor configuration, I have also to update the active Helios-profile die to the monitor setup change. Information I gave you , was what you requested .... what I see on the 4 monitors while starting the sim. Will try some more now, adding 5760 to all of my exporst, maybe I make a lucky hit and get the resolution I want :) Thanks so far Tom Edit: AERO is enabled for helios and fullscreen choosen for SoftTH use.

Thank you both so far ! You are right, from all the testing I messses up the 2 files. So know the screens are reordered as attached files show. For any reason, in Helios the monitors are after an update 3 / 1 / 4/ 2 If I set my monitorconfig and DCS settings to 5760x2160 , I see: 1= left cockpit 2= middle cockpit with exported mfcd´s 3= right cockpit 4= lower cockpit with Helios in the front ... but everything much much to biggggg. ÄHHH - gaanz dumm gefragt .. muss ich vorher Eyefinity aktivieren ??!!

Back To Topic :thumbup: I am trying to setup 4 monitors with SoftTH but no luck so far, maybe you can point me the right way. Upper row is 3 x 27" with 1920x1080 Lower row is 1 x 24" touchscreen for Helios How to setup it the way that I have 5760x1080 plus the lower Gelios monitor ?! If I set it to 7680 x 1080 on all 4 display is the sim running in strange order. On 5760 x 2160 the upper monitors are too big and also on the Helios-monitor is the cockpit. SoftTH config: monitor.lua The export settings for helios are not edited yet !!! Will do this if it works the way I would like it. Cheers Tom

Wow, this guy Tacno is realy smart. Hopefully he writes english, will ask him some questions. His radios are perfect !! Thanks for the hints, I tested it right now and it works well with the YAW !! Today I set up the new Version from World and brought it back to work with all my stuff. Tomorrow will arrive the last monitor, than I am on 3 x 27" for view and 24" for Helios. So no more money this month , ordered also a second B256 from brydling. Leobodnar has to wait some weeks :) Also waiting for Deathmans knobs and some panels from sveden :thumbup: I am looking forward to have the pit , more or less, functional end of this year. Gruselig, auch was man in den anderen Bereichen des Forum liest. Heute kommen meine fehlenden 2 Monitore , ich denke die werde ich erstmal unter der alten Version ans Rennen bekommen. Einzig den Auto-Updater sehe ich als Innovation in der Hoffnung dass man nicht immer alles platt machen und neu aufsetzen muss. Neben Helios habe ich noch Grafikmods und Soundmods installiert :music_whistling: Nach 10 Jahren FluSim Abstinenz war ich super happy DCS A-10 gefunden zu haben. Desto mehr man sich aber damit beschäftigt umso ominöser erscheint das alles. Auf die ersten Blicke super toll, beschäftigt man sich aber intensiver damit und möchte auch online fliegen wird es doch sehr eng. harren wir mal der Dinge die da kommen, zumindest schön das man bei ED weiterentwickelt. ich hatte den Eindruck man haut nur noch Module oder kpl. Programme raus die Kohle bringen und lässt die Fehlersuche mal im Raum stehen.

hehe , due I know that Gadroc and some of the smartguys familiar with Helios are reading in this thread: 1+ Yesss, it would be great to have the Helios interface dimmable like the cockpit :) On nightmissions it looks a little strange that the Helios monitor is not night illuminated. That would be a great tweek !

Yesss, Helios is a great tool !! But it is a pain in the ass to setup and understand. It will take its time, but with some friendly help you will figure out as I do (step by step) and helpfull members here in the forums ! On my first steps I asked a programmer from my work and he has to think very very long until he understood the system. I need also hours to add functions to my simpit, but so far everything is working and the feeling is great ... in cowork with my TFS3 :) Take your time .. I am more setting up the simpit and Helios than flying .... but the change will come :megalol:
