Anyone willing to help me with Landing/Angle of Attack
bunraku replied to bunraku's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Sorry. UK timezone. -
Hi I'm struggling with the whole Angle of Attack/Landing thing with the Hornet. I understand the principal and am trying to use Power and Trim. But i end up going too far down or up very quickly. I also might have one of my wings start to roll/bank although i am sure my Hotas is calibrated correctly and have deadzones in them. Anyone willing to fly with me one night this week and help me? I can use teamspeak(preferred) or Discord. I'd be eternally grateful. PM if you can help. Thanks

Hi Are there any training campaigns or missions for the F/A-18C like the old Maple Flag one's for the Warthog? Thanks

Thrustmaster Warthog Off Detent to Idle not working
bunraku replied to bunraku's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Ok i managed to get the Off/idle thing mapped and the throttles now move in 3D as on my HOTAS so thank you. A few other questions As mentioned before the 3D Joystick buttons on the Hornet Grip don't do anything when pressing the corresponding button on my Thrustmaster Hornet Grip. Any idea why? Also when putting my Throttles full forward i get 99% and sometimes 100%. How can i make sure always 100%? And lastly is there an afterburner function of more than 100% and if so how do i make that work? Thanks -
Thrustmaster Warthog Off Detent to Idle not working
bunraku replied to bunraku's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi I added a photo from my phone so sorry for quality. This is what my settings show at the moment. How do i map this? Not sure how to map it being in an idle start position and then going over the detent bump to idle? Also any idea why when i move a hat switch etc on my F/A-18 Grip it doesn't show on the 3D Grip? Thanks -
Thrustmaster Warthog Off Detent to Idle not working
bunraku replied to bunraku's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hi RandomToten The 3d Throttles do not move when i apply power. However when i move them from off to Idle i can see that happening. I also have the Thrustmaster Hornet Grip. One thing i notice is when i press the buttons on the Grip that they do not happen on the 3D Grip. Rob10 I am not sure what you mean in regards of the idle/off binding. I do have the sync to HOTAS option ticked. Thanks for any help/advice. -
Hi Had the TM Warthog for years and just got the F/A-18 Grip and now i am not sure what to do with it. What i mean is i can see some profiles out there have made using the whole Warthog Hotas and now i have the Warthog Throttle and Hornet Joystick and i'm not sure what the best setup for using the mixture is. Are there any guides or videos for setting keybinds for the Hornet Grip with Warthog throttle rather than the whole Warthog Hotas? Thanks a million.

What the best way to mount TIR on top of a monitor? Sellotape or bluetack doesn't seem ideal at keeping it steady. Thanks

Hi Just trying the Hornet after only really flying the Hog before. I've just setup my Flight Pedals. but the rudders point in the way in the neutral position as in the attached screenshot. Is it supposed to do that? Thanks

Hi I am using Geforce GTX 970. Any idea why in cockpit i get no white haze on scenery, but in external view or flyby there is a white haze as if the gamma is really high or something? Screenshot attached. Also any idea why my in cockpit FPS is 17-19 FPS(Doesn't matter if 512 or 1024), but my external views are significantly higher although practically on the highest settings? Thanks

Configuring TM Warthog to fly the Hornet?
bunraku replied to bunraku's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Cheers guys. -
Hi Just reinstalled DCS and I've really only flown the A-10C using the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS. The price of the Hornet grip seems way too much. So how easy is it to configure this to fly the Hornet? Thanks
-
Hi Guys Is there a printable map of the PG expansion anywhere? Thanks
-
Hi How do you assign views to the TM Warthog without interfering with the HOTAS functions? Is there a shift function? Thanks
-
Normal for A-10C to need a whole load of trimming with TM Warthog.

Ok Thanks -
Hi How can you get close to a symmetrical loadout that's balanced well if you have the TGP on one wing and the Jammer Pod on another? I'm having issues with veering and suspect asymmetrical loadouts might be the cause. So whats the best loadouts to counter the TGP etc? Thanks

Hi Is it possible to fly the Hog for long periods of time with the TM Warthog roughly straight and level? Although my Joystick is centred perfectly it is a case of holding the stick and correcting constantly to keep the place on course and lots of autopilot use on the quiet stretches? I am just wondering if it's just the correct modelling of the flight model of the plane or a fault with my stick. Thanks

Hi I have DCS and Nevada already installed on my SSD. However I can't fit the Persian Gulf on the SSD although I have 2 other SATA drives with enough space. So 2 questions. Can I install the PGM on one of my SATA drives and direct my main DCS game to look for it there and not on my SSD? And will it perform ok being on the SATA drive as opposed to the SSD I use for all my other DCS stuff? Thanks

Hi. I have the Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals and the TM Warthog Hotas. One thing I notice is when taking off using Nosewheel Steering that my plane will want to veer a lot and have to apply one of the pedals to straighten the plane. Once the NWS is switched to Rudder it eases off although still not straight usually. I have a fairly large deadzone using the windows properties as opposed to a deadzone in DCS axis settings. So I am wondering if the veering to the side is normal particularly in regard to the NWS? I appreciate it may be wind, but just wanted to check. I also have to do a lot of trimming once airborne to fly straight and level and it's a lot of hard work on a flight. My TM Warthog is calibrated perfectly and again I am wondering if my pedals(rudder) might be causing an issue or is it normal to be constantly having to trim to keep straight and level?

I have a solution after watching a video. I create a mark point once I face the direction required. I have my Flight Plan Dial set to Mark and the Mark Point will show on the HUD. I then see the distance bottom right on the HUD as I fly away from the Mark Point.

Is there a way to quickly create a Mark Point that bearing and direction from my location when the course is advised?
