Hi I have tried to to Op Hammerfall Part 3, 4 times now and 4 times the game goes to black screen then the DCS Loading screen appears and then the small grey window appears that says DCS has stopped working. I've repaired DCS and removed all mods and still the same. Any idea whats causing this? Thanks

Yeah. love the 97/105, but 87/103 is useless.

Hi I love the 97/105 model CBU's and can take out 10-20 vehicles with 1 weapon. However I am finding the 87/103 model very ineffective versus even infantry and unarmoured ehicles unless it lands right on them. So is it modelled correctly or is there a preffered setup of the weapon to get the optimum spread and effectiveness. Thanks

Hi Don't often do MP, but I flew for a bit with a couple of guys from the States tonight(I am in the UK). I got my first crash in my plane trying to look at their planes pressing F2. Then I got about 15 minutes of flying with them and then another crash. After that I was getting crashes just reading the briefing or about 5 seconds in the cockpit. The only message I got was DCS has stopped working. I have a decent system and run everything on Ultra/Maxed settings and never have had a problem in SP. Like I said I hardly do MP and I can only assume it's something to do with that or ports or something? I have included my DXDIAG, although I don't think it's system related. Any ideas? Hi I am proficient in the A-10C on navigation and guided weapons deployment, A2A Refuelling , although I do suck using MK82's in CCIP mode. Landing and Take off and Radio's no problem. As you can see in my sig I have passed the Advanced Maple Flag exams, so you might be surprised I need help. I'm embarrassed to say I need help with the items below. There are loads of videos out there, but nothing that really covers the specific issues I have. I need help with 1) Sometimes I struggle to find things in the target area. If the target/ point of interest is at the exact steerpoint or coordinates then I can usually find things with the TGP. If however it's some way up the road or in the general vicinity then sometimes I can find them quickly and other times not for ages if at all. I think I fixate too much on the TGP and not the Mk1 eyeball. It doesn't help that the TGP seems not good at the moment or at least the FLIR. If I am told that the target ir convoy is too the North of the SP, then it's head in the TGP and using the compass in the TGP and slewing North. Again sometimes I get lucky and sometimes nothing. It may be that I am too close to accurately search and this may be something I need to be taught. 2) Once the targets are found I have no real plan of action and tend to just create a SPI and keep flying towards and away from that SPI as I attack. I don't consider which way or direction I am attacking from and tend to just fly away from the target and turn in a circle and reattack. If the target has moved then I am in trouble as my situational awareness is crap. The Target and SPI were there and if they move then I am back to circling and trying to get them again with the TGP which as you can see from point 1 can be a struggle. So I am not looking for a long term teacher, but someone who can spend a night or 2 making or recommending missions that we can fly together and get this final piece of the puzzle for me please. Thanks Kippy and everyone else who replied. I am flying myself and ma not part of a community to fly with. Is anyone willing to make a wee test mission and fly with me till I get the hang of situational awareness in relation to a target and not just moving ones.? Quick question. When you are told something is East of your Location or Target location are you using the Ribbon at the bottom of the HUD, the magnetic compass on the HUD frame or TAD? Just interested in how people gather their bearings in relation to a point of interest. If anyone wants to fly with me send me a PM. I can use all weapons and navigate, I just need help knowing where I am in relation to the a point of interest/target once the first fly by is done.

On a similar issue. How do you keep track of a moving target/ convoy. I tend to circle after having locking a target in point mode and of course the circling tends to lose the lock and the vehicles can have moved several hundred yards by the time I find them again. So whats the best way to keep them locked when moving? Thanks

Hi I am using a Nvidia GTX 970 which is a fairly decent card and have every setting maxed out, but the hills and mountains are quite angular like pyramids when close in as per screenshot below. Is there any way to improve this? Thanks

Hi It might sound stupid, but finding a target or targets is one thing, but once you've found it how do you attack it? What I mean is everyone is different and some pilots are more successful than others. Some of the methods I see are 1) Headless chicken. My own method and I would like to change it. This is the fly away, come back fly away come back, fly away come back. However there is no real planning in the direction of attack or egress. Target is that way and I fly that way and I egress the opposite direction from which I attacked and I will come back from that direction and I may as well be ringing a bell. Whatever happens happens and hopefully it works 2) You see the target, but may spend some time flying around and studying it. You may then plan an attack direction and egress direction. You may come back from that direction or a different direction etc etc I also don't really know the optimum distance to go away and come back and when should you orbit. And when orbiting and the TGP is on the Right Wing should you bank to the right or left to maintain TGP lock as ai suffer fro masking a lot. And lastly do you keep your TAD in normal or EXP modes? So I know how to use the weapons and systems, but not how to use them to their best ability. So I am asking what people do when they find and prosecute targets . Any tips appreciated?

It is mission 5 and basically from when you turn the TGP on. There is just no diamond in the TAD.

Hi Seems there is a bug stopping the TGP Diamond showing on the EW campaign as per thread below. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=166570 Has this been reported and if not do I report it in the main bug thread or somewhere else as seems campaign specific?

It is campaign mission 5 from the Enemy Within so that would make sense.

Hi My TGP Diamond has vanished from my TAD. It is still on the HUD. I thought I may have pressed a button in error on the TAD that made it vanish in my last mission, but have restarted it and it's still missing. Any idea what would cause this?
