Bought the Winwing 737 FMC: perfect! (and it even works with DCS )

Went from 2 x 16GB Corsair 5600 DDR to 2 x 32 GB Corsair 6000 and i havent noticed any performance boost. Maybe when you do heavy video editing but not in games

I bought the HF8 Pro and i dont use it. The seat makes way too much noise. To get a decent amount of feel you need to set motors at >15%. AT that point the vibration is strong and if you live in an apartment (as i do), neighbors will hear it. The two upper motors, near the shoulders are loud. Using a headset, their vibration is clearly audible in the headset, so i turned them off: 2 of the 8 motors gone. Software: the default software is...crap. I used Simhub or Simshaker for Aviators. And even then...i used Simhub with DCS A10C II...during the takeoff roll, motors went on and off all the time. And most of the time i wanted to feel a THUMP, i got BRRRR. With racing i have enough with FFB. The seat does not give me any extra cues: the seat uses the exact same signals as FFB. So im actually thinking about just using it as a massage chair but i have to figure out how to use it so the neighbors wont be bothered. My advice: dont waste any money on the chair. Use the money for an FFB joystick.

Hi all, I have two tablets connected to my PC via USB and the software Spacedesk. Left tablet is a Samung A7 tablet and the right one is a Ipad Air 1. Im running HELIOS with left and right MFCD's from the A10C II. On the Samsung A7 everything works fine and i can adjust the MFD functions with the corresponding buttons. No problem. The right MFCD (Ipad Air 1) gives me the "stuck key" problem when i touch the screen to press a button. When i use the mouse on the tablet, there is no problem. So it has to do something with the touch and probably the duration that HELIOS sees two inputs instead of one? I have no clue.

Well, here i am again but this time with a Winwing CDU question. Everything worked fine in the A10C II until i changed the width in the commandmenu.lua to shift the radio menu to the left of the screen. Since i see that the screen on the Winwing CDU is scambled. Hi all, i have a new problem with Helios and i can't figure it out. Im using the A10C II and i have setup my left MFD with all buttons. In game i press OSB 10-15 and i can switch between the different pages TAD - DSMS - COMM - NAV, no problem so far. I can go from TAD to DSMS, no problem. But once in DSMS and i click on OSB 1 "PROF" to see the profile page, The button acts weird. As long as i keep pushing OSB 1 it shows the Profile page but once i release it switches back to the DSMS page. Main manu buttons work fine, sub menu buttons don't function. How can i solve this?

Kdrum is talking about a HOTAS. You talk about and FFB stick that cost 700 dollar. Next to that there is no native FBB support from DCS per aircraft. Its just about the MOZA settings. I race a lot and all games i play have such different FFB: F1 2024 vs LMU is a WORLD of difference. And as long as there is no native FFB support per aircraft my opinion is: the hardware market is FFB ready, the flightgames are not.

Hi Wostg, thanks for the response. Finally i found it. 2 things: 1) I did not know that i needed to add the viewport interface: that was the primary solution. 2) after a change in the viewport in the config tool , no matter if all interface statuses were green, the control center would give an error on the the monitor config file. Now i know that i have to close the config tool, open it again, load the profile, config the monitor, save and open the control center. Now everything works fine and i know how to create my viewports. Works beautilful!! There are many tutorials but this one got helped me a LOT

Recently i upgraded from 2 x 16GB DDR5 5600 to 2 x 32 GB DDR5 6000 - with a I7 13700k - AMD Asus TUF 9070xt system. In Steam i viewed the mem usage and there was not a single game that used of the full 32GB My advice is to save the money and spend it on a better CPU / GPU which will dedicated impact on FPS. I tested in DCS / FS 2020 PMDG 737-800 / rF2 / GTA 5

Hi all, im having trouble with helios. I have watched many you tube videos but none give me the answer. Im flying the A10C II and i have two tablets connected via USB. I can set any instrument, bind the right out and input and it works. I can even show the MFD buttons and program these and they work ingame. But i cannot get any MFD viewport to show on the tablets. Resolutions and display positions are set. I have renamed the MFD's to the monitorsetup.lua...nothing.

You will always see: post a question and i find the sollution myself. I read the log and saw that DCS was unable to open a zip archive. I went back into my Bitdefender and saw that i set the option "scan archives" to on. I turned that option off and DCS started.

Hi all, Suddenly DCS wont start. Problem: I click on play and login into the DCS launcher. After that the steam verification is okay and the loading screen just hangs and DCS wont start. What did i do so far: I uninstalled DCS completely and also deleted the saved game folder and another folder in appdata\local (or roaming). Reinstalled DCS, restarted my pc but same problem. Reinstalled Directx, X86 and X64 redist files, same problem. Reset my Bitdefender exception for the DCS drive: same problem. Im out of sollutions. Windows 11 64 bit - I7 13700 K - 2x32GB Corsair 6000 - AMD Asus TUF 9070XT .

With the upcoming FFB market for flightsims DCS should work on this. Now MOZA is trying to give customers some linear fake forces. But with other big manufactures coming DCS needs to invest in native ffb support per aircraft!

DCS should integrate native FFB per aircraft, So should FS 2020/ 2024 with the upcoming FFB market for flight. Are there any plans at DCS for implementation?

Hi there, to begin with: DCS is by far the best simulator on PC nowadays. I just bought the F16 and the detail in graphics, physics and systems is mind blowing. On par with PMDG for Prepar 3D. Other than a PMDG Boeing 737, the aircraft and systems in DCS are very though to masterm, which is part of the fun Most of the people reading this post are diehard frequently flyers, having all content and create complex mission in a fingersnap. But for starters DCS can be a very harsh environment. And actually i am not talking about the learning curve of the aircrafts but im talking about the mission planner. To actually do anything with the F16 i MUST commit into the mission planner and honestly in my opinion this the the worst part of the game. As good as the arcraft and terrain are, so bad the whole "campaign - mission" planner is. The mission planner feels like a developers tool and honestly i want to fly instead of learning how to use the mission planner to get going. Now you will say: "don't cry, use the mission generator". Well, the mission generator lacks in options to setup the specific needs. Right now i want to learn to fly the F16. So i want to setup a scenario in which im confronted with one (1) oponent in dogfight, only guns, no BVR. And i want it that the oponent apears "somewere" with a 20 miles radius from me so i have to learn to use the radar. But to do that, i need to dive deep into the mission planner. And i have NO clue how to setup such mission. I have watched several you tube videos and they are sooo complex with 20 planes, 10 sams, different sorties, waypoint and stuff. I tried and every click something goes wrong. I dont know how to move my plane...i get a waypoint instead...that kind of basic things which are not logic for starters. I really hope the mission generator will be changed into more friendly and more customizable program in which you can set all parameters from drop down menu's to create a mission as simple as it can be and as difficult it can be. Hi, Setup a new PC and doing a reinstall of my steam games incl. DCS World. I start World, it loads till 12% and then my PC hangs. I must terminate DCS process via task manager. I deleted the complete game, reinstalled, same problem occurs. Anybody know how i can solve this? Grtz. Pex

I dont know it anymore. I use my Saitek rudders. Yesterday i de-assembled the rudder to spray the pots with contact spray (as i do with every Saitek Proflight unit). I Calibrate within windows. Within A-10C i test them and in the axis tune i invert them with a 30% slope. During the taxi to the runway they behave normal and i have no problem. But as soon as i tough down and want to keep the centreline things go wrong. As soon as the plane decides to sideslip (yaw) to a side i have to put full rudders to keep the jet on the tarmac. The slower i go more worse it get.

My apologies for misunderstanding the concept of a dynamic campaign. It all was just a thought and as usual its clear my thoughts are not appreciated. Im sorry for this post, leave is it is or close it. Thanks for the attention guys.
