  2. Hey shamandgg, this sort of thing is often used for learning. If you take even a private pilot license, most countries aviation governing body sends out documentaries on 'what went wrong' and air disaster situations to help pilots avoid making similar mistakes. It feels kind of twisted at first, but then sometimes when your flying, you realise the value (in real world at least). Regards, D
  3. Hey Hajduk, I have the FX60 on my system here. On single player I run all settings maxed out (except blur) at 2560x1600 and it runs perfectly. Jump on a server though, and its hit and miss as with any config. Depends on the mission being hosted, the server hosting it and about a million other variables out of a players control. One thing you need to be aware of is the affinity issue. You have a run a launcher or app to set process affinity to core2. That's a bit of a pain, but once you get it sorted, its all good.   6. Everybody should understand also that those who create stats systems are extremely limited by what ED have written into the mp_log files. The mp_log is far from ideal. It is in fact only barely possible to get any decent stats system working from it. The reason for creating stats (I believe this goes for all who have, dreYOU, 504th, S77th, 169th) is to try and encourage more to fly Lockon online. It seems to be successful so far. Stats do have their negative sides though. As a stats developer you get hounded by those that want the balance changed. Also, people learn to fly to get the most out of stats, rather than the most out of flying online. It is a pretty interesting thing to watch from the stats admin side. Try to be positive if you have issues with any stats system. Us stats developers spend bucket loads of time doing so and dont want to be bombarded with negativity. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the various stats systems in the coming months. Peace! www.lomac-stats.com

  9. A dynamic signature begins. Lots more detail to be added including rank, ladder position and more.
  10. Quick update for all. lomac-stats.com now includes a ranking system. All begin at airman / lyotchik rank. Ranking calculations will be tweaked over the next week or so. Also we implemented a squad search function. Enter your squad string and you will receive a list of matching players and summary scores. Lots more planned for squad stats. Hope you enjoy.

  12. Rank By the way, the test ranking structure has gone in. Decided for purpose of breadth to start all as rank airmen / lyotchik. Will post rank requirements page on the lomac-stats.com website once complete. Obviously I welcome input from all regarding best method to achieve rank.
  13. The 504 and Zorlac have done a great job on the implementation of stats for Lockon. It has clearly increased the popularity of the game, and so the S77th has decided to also implement stats. Phase 1 of lomac-stats is a leaderboard. We are currently testing more in-depth stats and hope to launch those soon also. http://www.lomac-stats.com/ Please also read the FAQ on the stats server.   14. Well figured that out: lockon.exe -server playername=<insertservername> roomname=hyperlobby roompassword= maxplayers= Obviously you can set password and maxplayer. You can leave roompassword blank, not sure about maxplayers. =)

  16. Does anybody know what the seemingly binary data components of the .mis file contains? I'd like to be able to manipulate mission files outside the editor, but am concerned about that data.

  19. This message is really for ED, but maybe all could comment. Ideally all debrief stats would be found in mp_log.txt, but if that's too much work, how about just logging a few important events. Takeoff for example would allow stats counters to calculate sortie specific data and flight time per aircraft. I'm sure others will have events they'd like logged, but takeoff is fundamental.
