Caution Panel Test Here is the first pic of caution panel in use.....still a lot soldering to do.....

Oh, forgotten step. rebuild the Front panel plate out of Aluminium to get rid of the deep border of the instruments. Got to mask the surface with a thin piece of plastic cut with the laser.

so, finally got the second graphics adapter and installed it. believe it or not, it really works! six monitors on my gaming pc! build up the cdu (panel out of my A320 project i have build 2years ago, just have to change some buttons) with a 7'' vga display. looks quite nice. tomorrow it post some pictures.

System running again... Hi all, here some new pics of my pit. Connected three monitors on my graphic card, using Helios to display the Gauges. The two mfds and the RWR are exported via Monitor configuration of the A-10 config files. Finished up with the right console construction, the CDU (will be Monitor three out of six if it works, still waiting for second graphic card) and the caution panel. Because the pit is getting a bit large, have to move it to another room. Pics will be send when reassembled again this week My monitor configuration: 1,2,3: Primary Display on one Graphic card 4: Left Part of Front Panel 5: Right part of front Panel 6: CDU Display in the right console Has anybody ever tried to build a HUD system? Any ideas. Have heard abaout a special lens to realise it, but forgot the name. Getting old.... C U guys and keep on building

So, today installed a kind of floor and a fu..ed off Recaro seat to test the dimensions. Also finished the static construction off the right side. On the left, added a powder coated Aluminium on the inner side for testing the look. great feeling sitting there......

found a better way to export and import the frequency. just use the get_frequency and set_frequency functions of the radio devices and send them to sioc so easy, if i knew earlier......
-
thank you for the information. good looking displays in your pit !
-
What displays you use for the mfd's? I am looking for a fitting screen for the cdu. In the moment, I use a 7'' TV-screen.....bad resolution I have to say!
-
okay, connected all the stuff again... for displaying the two mfd and the Helios instruments connected another PC over the network and used the MaxiVista prog for MFD displays, RWR and CDU. It runns, but got so much network traffic sending the mfd displays..... So ordered another XFX Radeon 5850 (like my actual model) to get 6 Monitors on gaming pc. The network pc will only work with the SIOC opencockpits stuff. Hope it will work with windows 7 an 6 monitors on two graphic cards. I'll see, (already praying.........) I'll show up when I know more

no its one graphic card with three outputs. use helios over the network with an additional pc for the instruments and the sioc server. two monitors of the pc running A10 for rendering, one for the cdu. got an 7'' monitor for cdu. hole system is working, try to make photos of all running components next time its all connected.

Hi all, I have made some pics of my own cockpit build. I am using opencockpit cards for switches and helios with two 19'' Displays for the instruments. Two cougar mfd's and the great Thrustmaster HOTAS. The mfd's are working like real, all maps, weapons, etc. The panels are build with a CNC Laser using Acrylic and two color engraving plastics. The wooden parts done with CNC milling machine. You see, still a long way to go! So, hope you enjoy the pics and go on building!!!!! Special thanks to Gadroc, without his help I would have been lost several times. (Sorry for my bad english, I am not a native speaker)

Hi all, have a quick question: is it possible to find out all available functions for the several devices of A-10 ?? local VHFDevice = GetDevice(55) local frequency = VHFDevice:get_frequency() e.g. with device VHF radio found out functions get_frequency and set_frequency. Are the available functions somewhere in the lua files of A-10 to find? Hope someone can help.

Hi, I worked on exporting the VHF digits of A-10 to my SIOC 7-segment display. I managed to export them by the device:get_argument_value and get a nice number on Variable 1 of SIOC using it for exporting to 7 segments. If someone is interested, here's the export.lua (merged file for helios and sioc) The only changes are in the function ProcessArguments(device, arguments) part Have fun an go on working :music_whistling: Export.lua

is there an overview of available LoGet-functions for A-10

possible to export values like UHF freq to sioc?
Gremlin77 replied to Gremlin77's topic in Home Cockpits
Hi Gadroc, nice to hear from you. My question is not only about the frequency. My aim is to realise, like I did in my A320 (Microsoft fsx) homecockpit, the digits for e.g. the laser code, IFF and so on with 7-segment digits. Also I want to do some calcs in SIOC about flight position and so on. That worked fine for me, but I need the values. I thought about using the standart start values in SIOC and A-10 and change the two values by the rotary encoders, but if I only loose one pulse, I get two different values. So, any ideo or .lua file? -
Hello all, has anybody an idea how to export values (UHF etc.....) through export.lua to sioc. I managed to get oakes export.lua to work for indicators an the other way for physical switches. But now I'd like to operate 7-segment digits for frequences and counters with opencockpit cards and so I need the value in sioc. Or is there another way without export.lua? Anyone an idea? Thanx

how to run sioc by oakes and helios together?

by the way....... here is my poor try with merging the lua's Export.lua -
Hello all, first of all sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker. And, of course thank to all for this great forum for the A-10!!! It helped me to get my pit to work. Here is my problem: I am using helios for the output of all the instruments on two additional TFT`s over eyefinity. Also exporting the two MFD's and the RWR by editing the Monitor setup. My physical switches are connected with IOCards using sioc and the great programming work of oakes. So, now SIOC and Helios are editting the export.lua file to get the transfer over udp to work. The sioc file alone works, also the helio file alone. But all my attemps to merge these two files in one export.lua didn't work. I tried to create another udp connection (in my case named d instead of c) but it didnt work at all. By the way: I always hear about an error.log file of the lua scripts, but I cannot find it anywhere.....can anybody help? Hope someone can help..... Thnanks, and go on pit-building :)
