  1. some facings... so, some new pics. The last days worked in the facing of my pit. Just used 8mm mdf and some plastic edges, doing some painting an so on. Think, now it looks a bit more professional. Finally a bit.....
  2. I'll give you a hint.....to beware you of a lot of work. My wife baned me to the basement with my "little" pit. So, to avoid a lot of work, just start in a room your wife will never need. Look at the attached pics, how large a little pit can grow.... But the guys are right. It's such a lot of fun doing this!!!!! I think, women cannot understand such things, its simply a man-thing
  3. nice idea using tubes. have fun and dont mind about others. my wife is also laughing at me.....
  4. thank you for your help. i will think about going the risk doing this.....
  5. here is the link!!! http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/59490/?sphrase_id=126319
  6. sry, have no access to my a-10 folder. but believe me, the .lum files are there :smilewink: hope this weekend i can use the pc again....
  7. no, not lua files. in the download user files section of dcs (A10) you can find a lum file for alternative cockpi view(only the profiles of the front cockpit window) cant tell you file name and directory becauce my pc is down at the moment. writing from ipad.... i'll have a look. thx
  8. hi all, there are several lum files to download. e.g. different cockpit views. does anybody know how to install. just copied over the existing file, but nothing hapens. can anybody help? thx
  9. good start. go on building, it will be a lot of fun and a lot frustration....sometimes. but the first flight in your cockpit build with your own hands will be unforgetable!
  10. UFC finished Hi all, finished up today with the UFC. Attached it on the pront panel. It's full working by using an Arcaze USB adapter. Found on the DCS User files page a LUM file for builders, in which only the front frame and hud is visible. Does anybody know how to use it? Tried to copy it in the file where the original LUM was - no effect.
  11. only one key is no problem. have my cdu connected a i am running out of single keys......
  12. did you set the game resolution to 3840x1200. then youcould set it to any position with your y coordinate.....
  13. yes, its the same. just use CDU as name in the monitor config file.
  14. hi, its quite easy doing that. just use your monitor configuration file and ad leftmfd and rightmfd with the appropriate cords. in a-10 options switch to your configuration file and change the game reyolution to the sum of your two displays. but be carefull, the framerate may get down. i use for monitor 4 and 5 the helios tool screen copy. i can send you my monitor config file if you want
  15. hi all, have a little problem with the usbkeys card from opencockpits. i am not able to send combined keys to a-10, eg shift-A. other progs take it, e.g. notepad, word, etc. but a-10 doesnt. any advice?
  16. the "THING" is running So, now I have the promised pics of the running pit (without cdu, missing DVI adapter, f....) Get a framerate of 38 with full details on. Had to cut the main picture a bit to get the mfds ond cdu on the edge. So I can use the helios Screen copy tool to display the mfds etc. First tried to make the A-10 used screen to span over all displays. But, If you span it only 1 pixel over the eyefinity screen, the framerate goes down to about 8. Don't know why, perhaps anybody can help. Next step is to fresh up the realy ugly construction of the monitor table. Looks like done by an damned idiot. But finally can get some airtime!!! Also have to fix some bad steps between the different monitors when you fly a curve.....
  17. okay, today connected all monitors to the two graphic cards. i am very glad to see framerates about 50 fps! now i have one monitor for visualisation, one cdu one left front panel and one on right front panel. using helios it run very smooth.... try to create a youtube account to publish some video. tomorrow i will send some pics. did some work on the relief of the front panel. two exits on graphic cards left for two more visualisation displays.....looking forward to it!
  18. wow looking great. quite a lot more professional than mine.....but i will do my very best, miss sofie!
  19. this is still to find out. some of the display data depends on switch position. so i can calculate and send to the atmel processor to bring them on the display. but i think i remember that i have read somewhere in the forum how to find out the remaining chaff and flare rounds. when i have some time, i will have a look.... the different defend programs to bring on display is the bigger problem i think. have you some pics of your pit in the forum? would be interested in...
  20. if anybody needs... i just wanted to ask if anybody needs some panel masks. i still have the files, so it would be no prob to laser them. for a few euros for the material and posting, i can do it. just an offer, if anybody is interested. or just send me an acad file with your mask an i could laser it out.
  21. CMSP Panel some pics of my Version of the CMSP Panel Had to replace the wip-switch (don't know the english word, sry) right of the LCD with two single buttons. didn't find a fitting one.... The Knobs have to be repainted. But so far, I am quite happy with it.
  22. AAP Panel Hi all, did a lot cabeling this week. Now the CDU is fully operable and has the right key text, also the Caution Panel is ready to go. Designed and lasered the AAP Panel. Have to fit all the stuff in the pit at the weekend.
  23. yes, its a cnc 60w laser for cutting and engraving up to 600 x 400 mm its the most usefull tool i've ever bought
  24. F>untion Test Caution Panel Some pics of the caoution panel at work Had to redesign the diffuse Plates to reduce the overshining from one field to another. Now ran out of green leds, have to order new ones to finish this panel up. Have written nearly the hole SIOC file to get the panel comunicate with A-10. So, have a nice weekend guys!!
