When checking the official NAVPOINTS from "\Mods\campaigns\F-5E BFM\Doc\RF IFG NTTR.pdf" in Mission Editor I encounter big differences. E.g. FLEX RAD/DME: LSV 335/04 LAT/LON: N 3618.62 W 11502.36 (from document) LAT/LONG: N36 18.62 W115 02.36 (for destinction/mission editor) comparing RAD/DME with GeoCoord I encounter an error of ~5500ft/073° thats more than 1km of and significant, since in the departure routes show a heading SOUTH of the triangles, but the coordinates show otherwise. Questions: - error in RAD/DME? - error in GeoCoordinates? - difference ~1km not significant for NAV points?

IAW Theater Identification Criteria
GRUNT -Shrek- replied to Berndt Mangler's topic in Military and Aviation
source: the internet aka wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiservice_tactical_brevity_code Bogey A radar or visual air contact whose identity is unknown. Bandit An aircraft identified as enemy, in accordance with theater ID criteria. The term does not necessarily imply direction or authority to engage. There are several criterias to be met, in relation to location, time frame, ROE, alarm status. Most easy: NFZ. No fly zones. Aircraft in there will be regarded as hostile, depending on the situation as misorientated. There are several means of identification: Transponder/IFF. Radio contact. Flight path in relation to no fly zones, pre-ordered paths. Matching own air movements against radar contact. Visual reconnaissance, and many more. In relation to bogey/bandit. Any FAC/spotter in the field can contact TACNET and report green/unknown or red/hostile or blue/friend. Stinger/Redeye comes with IFF (ex. some export versions) Several radio procedures are in effect to be hopefully failsave in combination with other means. In DCS? Have an AWACS, call it. Have an GFC and hes checking the airspace. Or all members of one coaltion are in Teamspeak (or similar radio system) and talk about their flight path - training in orientation and coms. Or one Wing is lead by one leader who has overview. -

Waiponts defaults to 50m when preview mission
GRUNT -Shrek- replied to sEi's topic in Mission Editor Issues
Please load up the .miz so we can have a look. Please also tell the version number e.g. 1.2.7. "stable" 1.2.7 open beta. Be aware you have 1,500m/ft either MSL or AGL MSL can be too low in mountains reaching easily 1,500m/ft You can check the surrounding heights/altitudes with mouse cursor in the mission editor. There is a readout at the bottom line. Maybe you start at sea? There should not be any mountains harming. -
"MSI afterburner" might do the trick "Camstudio"

I am referring to Su-25 not "Su-25T" - I think that is fair enough.

Dear community, as a "I must think Russian"-Su-25-pilot, I developed a wish for certain features. Likely there is a list already set up, which I may be added to. But in case there is not, here are my 50ct (to be continued) - animation of ext. lights switch (3 way?) - animation of "front wheel/wing lights" switch near/far/off (3 way) - animation of airbrake switch - radio system (including dialing frequencies/canals) - keybindings to use navigation system manually (e.g. KEY1 = 1A3P, KEY2= PPM2, ...) - animated ECM switch - radar alimeter interactive (like in Mi8, including warning alt dialable) - moving (e.g. clickable) markers on speed readout (e.g. stall speed, flaps speed, vne, ...) - IR jammer? - Weapons (esp. RBKs, KGMUs) more effective, or are they as weak? - Pilot visible? Legs, etc.? - detailed systems damage model (maybe even trainable in the ME faulty settings) - clickable cockpit Thanks in advance! Will help if needed! Grunt 2014-02-09: - animation internal/cockpit light switch

Interesting, why not go ePub? Hi there. I appreciate your work, but maybe it's a good thing to publish in .epub from now on. So many ppl are using secondary devices while using the main screen/s for flying. Since the size do vary a lot, epub might be the solution. I am preparing a user-document for Su-25 in epub. Let's have a go then. Cheers, Grunt latest work in progress (2014-02-09): http://shreksquadron.org/documents/su25/ebooks/Su-25%20Manual%20-%20Grunt%20-%20rev0.epub (Su-25 manual) :book: Feedback welcome! Example 1: Checklist SU-25 (work in progress) http://www.shreksquadron.org/documents/su25/GGG%20version%200.1a.epub Example 2: Mi-8 (work in progress) http://www.shreksquadron.org/documents/su25/Mi-8 MOM (Grunt) Rev1.epub ePub-Reader for PC: http://www.adobe.com/de/products/digital-editions.html ePub-Creator for PC (despite of Notepad++): http://code.google.com/p/sigil/ -
I worked on that in the wiki. It's up to the mission builder to make his/her mission a quality one. Many pilots don't care about weather, so only few people seek detailed information. In defense: flying an A-10C you have the weather readout in your system (ext temp.) wind is done by ATC cloud boundaries/alt/height/density/perception can be visually obtained (as of other pilot's enroute weather reports) For those interested: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Mission_Editor:_Weather_Modelling
