Can somebody reply to this question? Doesn't work for me also
-
Do you also fly helicopters? A test about 2 dof and helicopters would be appreciated.
-
I am also tempted, Do you have any idea how the implementation with x-plane is? This is my second most used flight simulator after DCS. Usability with x-plane is important for me. Also, how do you use your mouse? Is there a place available to place it?

Thanks for the many opinions on the VR subject. Lets hope VR games will get mainstream in a couple of years so we fight simmers can profit from the immense cashflows they generate. Money = better products and quicker development.

I mainly use my rift for flight simming but occasionally I try out some vr games like super hot vr or hotdogs, horseshoes and handgrenades. But it seems to me that the HTC vive is becoming the platform for the mainstream vr experiences. With games like fallout 4 or Half-life coming exclusively to the vive they really have an advantage because a lot of people are waiting for a full blown vr game. I invested a good amount of money in my rift as I was an ‘early adopter’ so I hope oculus will stay in the race. What is your opinion?

Hi Ian, Thanks for your reply. Do you have an idea if the Leo Bodnar knobs would be suitable to pair with an arduino board?

Hi Guys, Great to hear that the NS430 system is implemented in dcs. Since i mainly fly in vr it is a bit a pain in the ass to use the rotary knobs with your mouse (especially when not on the ground). Is there a way to buy two physical knobs and connect them to a pc via usb? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

I saw it yesterday, great movie if you ask me. Personally i was a bit disappointed in the scenery, i grew up not far from Dunkirk and i had the feeling it was a ww2 setup in a modern day Dunkirk. Especially when you see the spit fly over Dunkirk beach you see modern day apartments (with a lot of glass). For a movie of that budget its a bit of a shame.

I flew the first and second mission of the campaign a couple of times always ending up in getting shot down. Is there anybody who can explain how to change combat tactics so there is a reasonable survival rate. I do not use the labels as i want to keep it as realistic as possible. So most of the time i have to fly low to spot a target and engage. Thanks for the help.

Lets hope the fix the bug, and btw it is a very good module if you ask me. I can imagine that speed affects accuracy, what should the ideal airspeed be?

Thanks for the advice, @ Razo+r: what do you mean by Radar ranging?

Hi Guys, It seems that it is nearly impossible to drop a bridge or any other small object with CCRP bombs. Is it me? Or am i expecting to much from an interceptor?
-
If you fly helos (like i do most of the time) there is no going back. landing spot on becomes child play. I can now even fly backwards like i have done nothing else in my life. Had to use screens + trackir again because i got stuck in a mission (not able to fly in smoke with vr). I crashed several times

I have big problems with smoke (like in the argo campaign, the mission where you need to land inside the burning refugee camp). It's unplayable with FPS drop to 0.

Hi Chuck, Noticed that your google drive is offline. Maybe you can re-upload? Thanks for the awesome guides

Got a Rift CV1 yesterday, very pleased. I got two minor issues, maybe somebody has a solution. - I cannot push the ok button (nothing happens), it only happens 'inflight' when i want to adjust controls or want to close the briefing menu (i can push the x sign but not ok). - Sometimes the game crashes when i push the ok button at the debriefing. Thanks,
-
I got mine today (the CV1), found one second hand, just tested it for a couple of hours. My opinion: UNBELIEVABLE, FANTASTIC, COMPLETELY INSANE. Never thought it would be such a difference, it's not the fact that you can move around (which is piratically the same as with the track ir), it's the step from 2d to 3d. Okay it isn't as sharp but if you crank up the pixel density to max it is completely playable. P.s. If you like to fly the DCS helos, you need to have it, you will notch up your skill level in minutes

Thanks guys for the great feedback, thanks -Scheppers- for the opportunity to test the rift, i live in Belgium but it is a bit far away. you have convinced me, I will try to get my hands on a second hand cv1. I will keep you posted! Thanks again

I am a big flight sim fan (particularly DCS) since a couple of years and invested a fair amount of money in a good pc, quality hotas devices, track ir and a triple screen setup. On top a have built a basic home cockpit to really amp up the experience. See picture below. A couple of weeks ago I upgraded my pc with a GTX 1080 and a new processor and I am now considering to make the upgrade to VR (Rift or Vive). Preferably I would like to test it before spending €500+ but don’t really know somebody who I can lend them from. But what do you guys think? Is it worth upgrading from a triple screen setup with track ir (with graphical settings on high, thanks to the 1080) to VR?

Can somebody tell me how to show a visual graph of your stick movements (like in the huey picture below, right bottom corner). Thanks!
