New video - DCS World Tv Commercial
m9matt replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in Screenshots and Videos
No 2 for me. Very nice vids :) -
As Rongor says, The mission brief is wrong. The Tanker is on 150.0 AM, not FM as stated.
-
You will need to provide a track. I'm assuming you are using the correct radio button to transmit on AM. Did you try the example mission I put up in a previous post? Old missions just will not cut it, even if you re-save that mission in 1.2.7. It looks like ED have changed a few things and a fresh new tanker has to be set up.
-
The tanker setup has changed. I've corrected the mission in the above post.
-
Try this one. I had to update the tanker and the predator. Shooting Gallery1.miz
-
I had a look at the tanker setup. The tanker had been tasked to be a tanker in the advanced waypoint actions, and no frequency had been set. All I had to do to change this, is click the task slot below country name and click the 'Refueling' slot. This then put the correct 'tanker-a' in the advanced waypoint, and that is all you need for the tanker. The 'tanker' command next to waypoint action 4 does not need to be there then. It's all in the mission design. Look at how I set my tanker in the above mission file.

I have no problems in DCS 1.2.7 Please try the frequency in the following mission. Tanker Training (DCS 1.2.7).miz

Nice :music_whistling: So, I put up a quick mission/server. Just A10C, F15C, Huey and P51D. I then joined my server from a different pc. There were no changes/additions to the mission, all pure client slots. Then just kept crashing, by myself. One person looked into the server, but decided against this crazy mission. I must admit, I did think it was a bit crazy. But I did have the first A10c very close to a mountain. Then I tried an F15 slot, and then back to the A10c. It took me 10 minutes to crash the server !! server-20140130-210707.trk

Interesting! So after so many crashes and respawning, the server will crash ? I wonder how many times it takes before it brings down a server ?
-
It varies for me. My server could last 3-4 hours, but can also last as little as 1/2 hour. The numbers in the server when it crashes also vary from 6 to over 24. But there is more chance of it crashing once over 20 clients. I'd like to know what ED recommend that the Network speed should be set at for a Server and what speed should be set for the clients. I believe ADSL 10240 and LAN is ok for servers. and ADSL 1024 should be set for clients. I've also started stripping back the AI aircraft and the Combined Arms from my recent missions, but this doesn't seem to make a difference.

Yes, the Tanker is broken in 1.2.6 and yes, It works fine in 1.2.7 beta

Multiplayer Stress Test Session - TODAY 4th January- 20:00 Zulu
m9matt replied to Groove's topic in Community News
Thanks for the reply Groove. I was interested as I sometimes put up a server, and I have similiar specs. Although I only have 6 Mb upload. I generally go for a fly at the same time, and sometimes alt tab out of the game to look at other things. I did wonder if this would contribute towards a server crash, if the server was doing something else. -

Groove, I thought the server did quite well with a constant 32 clients. Can you tell us what the internet upload was and what kind of machine it was running on? -
It seems some servers are still having problems. Paid servers seem to be having problems showing in the server list, but home PC servers are showing.
-
There are ways around that. Windows Control panel, Mouse properties, Activities tab, Enable ClickLock.

Good to see, maybe this sort of thing should be done every Saturday
