Hey Guys Has anyone had any success with Mist 3.3 in 1.2.8 ? Is it stable ?

I would love to have a go, but would have trouble with commitment with work and real life getting in the way. I know a few that are better than me in the P51 and will mention it to them.

Hi Viper, can you tell me if the Airfest will be open to FC2 aircraft. I had someone from Georgia contact me last night in Teamspeak, and his group only fly FC2 aircraft. I think they are interested in taking part.

This is a good point. If you are required to change from 1024 to 2048 everytime you join a server, how is the client going to know what to set. Is this mission going to require 2048 because it is a busy mission, with plenty of ground action, or just a simple mission with air to air, and thus require 1024. Although I have seen plenty of warping on the VA server when they are reaching numbers of 30-40 clients, and there is no ground action going on in that mission. It would be nice if it could be set in the mission editor, if it was possible.

Hi Dragon, congrats on the addition to your life, if your son keeps you up late, maybe you could get some flying done at the same time. I've had a brief look at your Missions, and they are complex. A lot of time and effort has gone into them.

Have a look under your controls in options in the single player. See what it is mapped as.

Have you tied the correct radio button ? Some players have a hotas and the FM and AM radio buttons are mapped. FM radio button is LShift + Num - and AM radio button is LAlt + Num +. Check the frequency, tune and use the correct radio. The Ground JTACs are using FM and the Air JTACs are using AM. Hopefully you will have a response, and best to follow and respond to JTAC all the way through, or you may get the ABORT, ABORT, ABORT, you do not have permission. As for the Tower frequency, I will have to have a look over the weekend, but it may be a bug. Good luck :)

Have you tried 1024 with the recent patch ? I wonder how long you would stay connected with 1024 compared to LAN. I have no problems with 1024, but I wonder if it is down to internet speed.

Very good stability with 1.2.7. Latest crash was caused by me as a client, trying to move a ground Humvee set up as a JTAC (either playboy or whiplash). Apart from that, server has been staying up for hours. The Mission has 'Pilot can control vehicles' enabled in Battlefield Commanders option. I don't think it liked me moving it. I'm curious, now that Multiplayer stability is going so well. Thank you ED for your hard work. What are everyone's settings in the Multiplayer options when they join a server ? I for one Host a server on ADSL 10240 and Join a server as a client on ADSL 1024

Dragon is a highly respected mission builder, and I understand the hours that can be spent in the editor. Totally understand, as family life comes first. Klunker, can you post which mission you are looking at, and I will have a quick look over the next few days. With each patch, things can change with radios, AFAC, Tankers etc.

I've had a look at the mission in the track, and the tanker is the same as the previous track. This mission has been saved from a previous version of DCS and everytime you try to use the tanker in this mission/server it will not work correctly. Until someone updates the mission, and places a new tanker there.

Yes, as I said in post #8 on page 1, the tanker in that track/mission is broken. It's been saved from a previous version.

Please provide a track. Have you tried the Tanker training mission I provided in post#5? This mission has been set up fresh from 1.2.7. If the mission you have been using has just been saved in 1.2.7, the tanker will be broken. Check my mission and let us know.

As Rongor says, The mission brief is wrong. The Tanker is on 150.0 AM, not FM as stated.

You will need to provide a track. I'm assuming you are using the correct radio button to transmit on AM. Did you try the example mission I put up in a previous post? Old missions just will not cut it, even if you re-save that mission in 1.2.7. It looks like ED have changed a few things and a fresh new tanker has to be set up.
