It sounds like you may have it on Deadzone which will do like you say, check it out and see, and if it is change it to aggressive which i find works best, also turn down your smooth panning to about 16 which helps.

There is a file that needs to be changed for online play, it deals with the timeout=? and others so that there is no delay when getting online. Can someone direct me to that file and what are the numbers i need to put in again, i beleive they are 500 or 600 in timeout and some others, thanks all.

Hello all i was wondering if there is a difference with V-sync on or off, what does it do. I have a amdfx-55,nvidia 7800gtx.

Thanks evil-scottsman i didnt know that, i will try it with vsinc off tonight and see if i can change my refresh rate, i think though if i remember it was on like 75 percent refresh but i could be wrong, and yes the water in pacific fighters is incredible to look at, i tend to fly low and look at it too much. On 1600x1200 4aa and 8af it is just too nice to look at. Should i keep v-sync on or off and what is the difference, im not familiar with what it does.

Just for your information my specs are as follows. Amd fx-55 2 GIG DDR400 BY CRUCIAL 650 watt psu (enermax) asus A8n sli premium motherboard Western digital 200gig hard drive Nvidia 7800gtx card Sony dvd/cdrw CPU cooling fan system My frame rates online and off for lomac are in the upper 60s, maybe higher but the FPS counter on lockon stops at 60. It rarely goes below 36 or so only over heavy cities or lots and lots of heavy action. I fly with everything maxed out almost (mirrors on high resolution,reflections on,water/medium,active shadows,terrain 100km,heat blur on) and it is always very smooth, i turn off heat blur when online because i dont need it (only for eye candy offline). All my other games (pacific fighters/forgotten battles merged,COD2,Silent Hunter3) all run off the charts with FPS and the visuals are unbeleivable. I run lockon 1600x1200 with 2aa 2af on a 22 inch samsung monitor. I took my time putting it all together but its well worth it when you get all the components in. Good luck with your choice on processors, i am happy with the fx-55.

Monnie Rock i am using 1.11 and this was made for 1.2 but does also work for 1.11. I am at work now but will check the numbers when i get home and if it is not the same will PM you with the zip. It not only helps see better but looks dam good to.

Cali is right that might work using the saitek program but remember that it probably would only allow you to pull up one mirror at a time, left or right. Also it kinda changes your view a little depending on which side you choose to bring up. Try hitting the M or N button and see for yourself what i mean, it kinda makes you lean a little to the left or right so i dont know if it would be possible to bring up both mirrors together which is needed for dogfighting to see behind both sides of you. I have a fast computer so mine are on all the time on high resolution and clean mirror mod with reflections (just like the real deal). Good luck with it my freind and post back if it works. If you push M=right mirror and N=left mirror but this is only when you hold it down, it wont stay that way, so no there is not a toggle to keep them on then shut them off. That would be nice though.

Ok how many people have this on all the time for online flying, im just curious about these things, have a good one.

I was just wondering who uses mirrors while flying online and what might be the advantages of using them. I understand they are a fps loss but for some that is not a problem and maybe there is an advantage to using them. Anyone ever seen a rear aspect missle shot thru the use of the mirrors, that is the only advantage i can think of there use. Any comments

No problems here, i have a nvidia 7800gtx,fx-55,640psu and my settings on high except for water/visibility which is turned down, my resolution is 1600x1200 2aa and 2af and my frame rates are a smooth 40 to high 60s online and only dips to the 30s over large cities, very smooth performance. I hope you can find out the problem and get it to be as smooth.

So you prefer to fly the mig around 7000 for certain tasks. A lock can be broken a bit easier if the enemy is below you and does try to beam is this correct compared to the look up aspect. Is the mig your plane of choice usually or depends really. Thanks for elaborating i appreciate it.

Sounds good Goon, at what altitude do you prefer to fly in the mig, i guess it depends on the server and at what height everyone is flyin huh. I also choose the centerline fuel as well as 4 r77s. When firing the 27er do you need to be below the enemy for the lock to hold or not?.

I would like to hear about how you fly the mig online, what is the weapon and fuel loadout you take and what is the best way to fly her online. Do you prefer to stay low and use terrain masking to avoid the enemy or stay around 3 to 4000 for missle effectiveness. What are the preferred radar modes you like and why. I would just like to know peoples opinion on flyin the mig online, i like to fly her online on occasion and do pretty well,even if i must RTB after a short while do to fuel or missle replacement. Please comment on the mig and how you think she should be flown online and why. Thanks all have a good day.

Hello guys, when i fly online i fly the su27 or the 33 and i was wondering what is the prefered missle for online between the er and the em. They both (online) have the same distance and lock up the same but i heard the EM has a faster motor which helps speed up to the enemy, can anyone elaborate on these missles and which one they prefer to fire and why. Also i tend to use the snake manuever over the F-pole to throw off the aim 120s direction which does alright, does any one want to share how they shake the enemys missle or i understand if you wish not to comment on this.
