  1. The HUD is projected over a special single front side transparent glass . It is 100% functional even in a highly lit room! whether its evening or morning it produces the same image! I PROMISE to post a movie in couple o weeks when my graphics card arrives.
  2. Here's my setup...
  3. PeterP I will post a reply for you in a while...i'll draw my set up for you ok?
  4. I do have some picture but my brother took my sd camera card...he'll be back in couple o'weeks. i only have these shots in my pc from the beginning of the process well this was just the beginning as i said...
  5. PeterP I am terribly sorry for not helping you with the HUD extraction...today is the first day i ever visited this forum since we spoke for the last time. I am glad to see that you made it very good job. I was away building my pit mate...i think i lost all my friends during the process hehe...check this link out its almost complete....http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=90825
  6. hahaha...funny you mention it cause it was first assembled in my living room leaving absolutely no space for "living"....i had to assemble it in my bedroom eventually :-)
  7. I used two 12cm wide fiber-wood strips...they bend easily and easy to work with...I had em bolted 3cm apart and used Polystyrene to evenly space them from each other along the bow. The HUD is much trickier though. The hud is a reflective glass that receives mirrored projection from another reflective glass underneath, which is being projected via lcd monitor in its turn. mirrors are useless cause projection is being duplicated when rotated to a certain degree thats why i used reflective glass. its completely transparent and reflective only on one side. the hud image was extracted by tweaking lua files . remmember that it is a collimator in nature so i had to tweak the hud lua files to change its size and make it "common" . :pilotfly:
  8. The HUD is 100% functional by the way ... the sim is projected over the wall 3 meters wide...total of 4 displays are utilized in this pit...its not the best cockpit around but it was the fastest i ever built. took about 3 months to get to this point.
  9. Hi everyone here are some photos of my cockpit...all is left is to tag the switches (all functional over 350 switches and buttons)...enjoy I promise better quality images later
  10. hud extraction to external monitor here are the pics you asked for...check this out its just the beginning of a long pit building journey. :pilotfly: the image in the back plane is a 4x2.4 meters wide projection.
  11. SOLVED...I finally did it...i twaked the scripts and was able to export thye hud display to external screen!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
