The on and off buttons do work. You'll not see a difference in MP tho. At sea level I'm 305kts indicated without, but showing mp that should be on. Hitting the on button changes nothing in the cockpit, but my speed will go up to 312kts indicated. Goes back to 305kts when the switch is back off. Not saying that's correct (it's not) just reporting my findings.

You can push it past the detent and see the mp increase... but you also have to map the water inject button and hit it for some actuall effect. ... Which is not much more than a few knots level speed. You know you're doing it right if the water inject warning light comes on eventually.

Sea Level and 20K feet speed test, tips, and question
MIDWAY replied to Darkrookie's topic in F4U-1D
I'm not getting any difference at sea level with auto rich or auto lean. Care to post a track showing the difference on your end? -
Can anybody tell me what the ammo belts are? I'm not handy enough to get into the lua files to look. Seems to me like the late war ammo mix is a lot more effective. Just looking for the data to back that up. Thanks!

Go fast in a dive. Cockpit sound has it.

Definitely something wrong with that trick. I got it to 155% rpm and 121 Manifold. A nice 354kts for about 1 min before it kills the engine. Thats fast!

I received mine yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't see this review before I ordered mine. I have mine mounted on a Thrustmaster AVA Base. I had the thrustmaster warthog as a stick before. I can confirm that any CMS switches will also press the detent. Very annoying to lose this. The additional buttons like the hat switch detents and the side mounted do not work. Big disappointment. Maybe somebody smarter can tell me how to get all that working. I can't find anything as of right now. I do like how the MH16 is a lot lighter. That significantly reduces/gets rid of the wobble which the original thrustmaster warthog had with any stick extension. I fly much smoother now with no overdrive or wobble when centering. I like the switches as well. Most have a good mouse like click to them after pushing past the light springs. Much lighter than the original warthog, which were honestly a bit too much in my opinion and caused some induced motion into the axis ranges.

Yes. Mine does this too. Not an issue at all with proper forearm support. Which is my right leg in my case. If you drive the stick, instead of letting momentum move it, it's not noticeable in flight. The Ava makes helo flying an absolute joy. I can hover in the Huey with no issues, and land it EXACTLY where I want it to now. Still at 15 for x and y curves. The only module which is touchy is the mosquito pitch axis, which is notoriously touchy by all accounts. Trying a 20 on the pitch axis solved that.

Received mine today. Changed to aero cams and medium springs. 10 cm extension on a warthog. A little loose in the center this way. Mostly due to the weight of the warthog. I bought the offset adapter but that didn't arrive today. With that I'm probably going try the heavy springs for warbirds, and I'll try lightening them with the adjustment for helecopters. Huge improvement so far over the original bar. Was using 30 for curves on x and y. Now at 15, and might drop to 10.

White light doesn't work after latest patch (mt). The UV lights are only max on the instruments. Can't see the blue hue at all anymore.

I found a repeatable engine seizure yaw issue. When seizing the engine after a high speed dive, the aircraft yaws heavily to the left and holds that yaw no matter what the rudder input or airspeed. I could repeat this issue multiple times. This first occurred online and I had such a hard left yaw it was a near flat spin. I could maintain altitude as well at 150mph with wings level. I have not been able to repeat that occurrence of yaw plus power with a seized engine.

Currently there is no good way too. It simply will bounce to matter how soft you can put it down. It only doesn't if your under around 98mph. I haven't figured out how to front wheel land at that speed. Hoping they figure it out. It took around a year for updates to the p51 to get that to wheel land well.

In a foolish attempt to "fix" my keyboard issues, I deleted the keyboard input folders in the Uh-1 mod. What do I need to do to get the originals back?

I'm a bit of a windows rookie, so I'm having some problems getting the files into the correct folder. Even when I figured out how to set the permissions I still get an error and am not allowed. A quick google search showed that I couldn't move the files with windows explorer, so I downloaded 7-Zip and did it that way. That also failed. Can anybody tell me how the heck I can move these files around and get this to work? I'm ready to throw my computer out the window. :helpsmilie: -
I also cannot get past mission 14. All trucks destroyed with rockets, all gates flown through. Narrator says, "you may now end the mission." Win score only shows 50%. Not sure how to move on.
