Where do I find the crash zip? I look for the logs but didn't see any created. I have enabled the full debug log using the autoexec.cfg posted in the sticky, but that post doesn't describe in what folder/path the file(s) will be saved.

I have done much testing with down-clocking my GPU, even to the point of making sure the GPU clock speed stays below 1750 MHz during load. I am still experiencing crashes, usually during long missions, about 30 min to 45 min into the mission, I suspect there is a memory leak happening somewhere based on the memory error that shows during the few different blue screen's I have gotten (of the more than a dozen crashes only 3-4 have been blue screens). I have following BigNewy's troubleshooting steps many times, ran repair many times, I even fully uninstalled and reinstalled the open beta. I am trying to play 2.5.6.50793 open beta running on a GTX 1080, with the 446.14 drivers, an i5-4690k running at stock 3.5 Ghz with 32 GB of ram and a 32 GB page file, on windows 7, using a single monitor running at 2560x1440 resolution on reasonable settings for my machine averaging 110 -120 fps. My latest test was today, it blue screened and restarted the computer so there isn't a log file. I don't have these problems with any other game or program.

While I had that issues several time yesterday, I seems to have installed the map today. Probably was the internet. Moderators feel free to delete this thread. -

XAiracobraX replied to XAiracobraX's topic in Game Crash
The updater is working installing the modules I own with Normandy map module unchecked. I also unchecked the assets pack, and all campaigns that use the Normandy map. Please advise. -
edit: Using DCS Updater 2.9.17.19 to install my owned modules after reinstalling DCS I don't know if this access violation is just a common error code or if I am getting the same error each time, but I was also getting the access violation when the game kept crashing before the update. Everytime it was crashing before update was on the Normandy map. I was being led to believe it was something to do with my GPU, but this seems like a problem with the map. I decided to try a uninstall and fresh install of the open beta. When trying to reinstall the modules I keep getting this error. I am going to try to install all the modules except normandy this time to narrow it down. Any help? 00261.475 ERROR: Failed to download Mods/terrains/Normandy/vfstextures/Hedgerows3.min.zip 00261.475 ERROR: Curl error (92): Stream error in the HTTP/2 framing layer 00261.475 ERROR: 3 connection fails # -------------- 20200604-235212 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 01D620D0 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 01D620D0 002BB5F0 0000:00000000 3F9B2605 002BB620 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F872619 002BB760 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F871CB9 002BB790 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F851A3A 002BB900 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F8542B2 002BB930 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9B1CBA 002BB960 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBC1410 002BB990 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBBA61F 002BBA00 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBBA12D 002BBA60 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBB7A1D 002BBAB0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9EFEAC 002BBAE0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 778ABF1D 002BBB10 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll __chkstk()+11D 7787CA19 002BC1B0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUnwindEx()+539 77750F2E 002BC1F0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\system32\kernel32.dll RtlUnwindEx()+1E 3FBB78AD 002BC7B0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBB9854 002BC840 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBB9B4B 002BC960 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBBA268 002BC9C0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3FBB7A1D 002BCA10 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9EFEAC 002BCA40 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 778ABE9D 002BCA70 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll __chkstk()+9D 7788040A 002BD150 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlInitializeResource()+53A 77883C0F 002BDB00 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlRaiseException()+22F FD6BB87D 002BDBD0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll RaiseException()+3D 3FBB742D 002BDC40 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F98B72B 002BDEC0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F98ACC5 002BDFE0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F98A6ED 002BE150 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F98D16C 002BE280 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F97EDCB 002BE3E0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F96364F 002BE570 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9683C1 002BE600 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F96BF78 002BE6C0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9BD56D 002BF770 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 3F9F0A46 002BF7B0 0000:00000000 C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\dcs_updater.exe 7773556D 002BF7E0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\system32\kernel32.dll BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 7789372D 002BF830 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUserThreadStart()+1D MiniDump written to C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\autoupdate_crash-20200604-235212.dmp autoupdate_crash-20200604-235212.zip

I have noticed this in the P51 instant action dogfight mission. The friendly AI can spot enemy aircraft well and engage really well if commanded to engage. But if I don't command them to engage, or if I command them to cover me, or if I command them to engage more than a second after they make the call out to which they respond "unable", they completely ignore and forget about the enemy aircraft in the area. They fly straight, even when getting shot at until they are destroyed. To get them to perform evasive I have to specifically use the communications menu and command them each and every time to make a break. Please can the friendly AI have more independence/initiative to take evasive action?
-
During taxi, if I move too slowly, or spin out, or otherwise the AI will crash into or run over me without slowing or stopping, likewise if I park on the wrong spot on the runway. I have also seen them crash into each other. Both of these happen regularly in the Blue nose b**** of bodney campaign. Please make the friendly AI aware of their surroundings so they stop before crashing into the player and each other.

I am using windows 7, I am not running overclock settings, I have tried the troubleshoot guide in your (BIGNEWY) signature have a dozen times with no success. I have bought and installed the super carrier module but haven't tried it yet.
-
I typically only use flat shadows for terrain, so definitely not the solution there. I am convinced that it is something in the new patch hotfix. I have never had DCS crash this frequently before.
-
I tried using DDU to remove drivers, and then restarted, and then installed newest nvidia driver, then restarted, then deleted saved games>dcs open beta folder, ran dcs repair, ran dcs, setup graphics settings, closed dcs, restarted computer, ran dcs, setup controls from scratch, started mission, crashed again flying over channel water or France in Normandy, mission 3, 4, 5, 7 mission of Reflected's blue nosed ba$tards campaign. It still crashes no matter what I have tried, please help.
-
I tried completely uninstalling nividia drivers and experience, restarting machine, and downloading a fresh install of the latest 446.14 nvidia driver. I chose not to install the nvidia experience to take out that variable. After reinstalling driver, I again restarted, then did BIGNEWY troubleshooting guide over again with deleting my saved games folder, running repair, restart computer, run dcs, set graphics settings and controls, allowed dcs to restart, then closed out of dcs, restarted my computer, then tried flying again. It again crashed. dcs.20200531-204104.zip

I am already using 446.14 and everything is running stock speed.

[REPORTED]# C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 36BC0AB5 00:00000000
XAiracobraX replied to Weidlich's topic in Game Crash
Never mind its not related to fps counter nor lights, it crashes regardless if they are on or off. I wanted to figure this out too desperately -
It was a coincidence, played two more missions not adjusting lights and it still crashed both times.
-
In hopes of figuring this out, I tried not adjusting (i.e. not turning off) the interior/cockpit lights before takeoff and keeping off the fps counter. I was able to fly 3-4 successful missions. So now I decided to try again turning off the interior lights prior to takeoff and still leaving the fps counter off. With this it has crashed again when flying over the channel. It might be coincidence but seems weird. dcsCrashLogs2_Win7_OB.zip

[REPORTED]# C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 36BC0AB5 00:00000000
XAiracobraX replied to Weidlich's topic in Game Crash
Curious, Weidlich when it crashed for you did you have the fps counter on and/or the internal lights off? When it was crashing for me I had turned been turning off all the internal lights at mission start and had the fps counter showing. I have flown a few missions yesterday and today successfully with leaving the lights alone (on) and keeping the fps counter off. I didn't change anything else. -
[REPORTED]# C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 36BC0AB5 00:00000000
XAiracobraX replied to Weidlich's topic in Game Crash
i seem to have same issue. It happened with older Nvidia drivers as well as the newest. Im not overclocking anything. One of the times it crashed the computer blue screened with a message saying "memory management" and the whole computer restarted. Every other time the game has just crashed to desktop -
When the crashin first started i had an older nvidia driver, i had updated the driver hoping that would fix this but it didn't. What is DDU?
-
It crashes for me during crossing the channel in missions with a lot of wwii air to air like mission 3 and 4 of the blue nosed b@$trds over bodney campaign. It has crashed circling the airfield waiting for wingmen to form up, also crashed when just over the channel on the way to target, or it has crashed just over channel on way back, or it has crashed when circling around the airfield getting ready to land at end of mission. I first asked for help in the campaign dlc forum, but Reflected says its not a problem with the campaign and to post logs so I posted here.

Since the last hotfix patch my open beta DCS keeps crashing to desktop during missions. Currently have been playing the BNBOP campaign. it has crashed 6 times out of 6. I don't have any mods installed. I tried putting all the settings to low, that didn't work. I tried updating to the newest nvidia driver, restarted, then redid the crash troubleshoot BIGNEWY linked where I renamed the DCS.openbeta folder in the Saved Games directory, ran the repair DCS tool, restarted computer, started the game, then closed the game and copied over the input folder and the logbook file to the newly created DCS.openbeta directory. Even after doing that the game still crashed today. I attached to crash, dcs, and dump log files in attached zip file.. Running windows 7, have a 32 GB page file Please, help me get DCS working again. dcsCrashLogs_Win7_OB.zip

2.5.6 Mustang Campaign Issues
XAiracobraX replied to JupiterJoe's topic in P-51D: The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign
Well, the updates did improve the fps, instead of 7 fps when bombs are dropping or fighters are attacking I am now getting around 70-90 fps on the same settings. Now the problem is that the game keeps crashing mid-mission. I have tried it four times. First time the game froze once we started crossing channel. Second try, made it almost all the way through the mission, was circling the airfield getting ready to land, game froze and blue screened with an error talking about memory_management, whole computer restarted. Tried third time, but with mission 4 instead of 3, game froze/crashed when starting to cross channel. Restarted computer and did a repair on the game, then tried it a fourth time. Game again froze/crashed just after takeoff when I was circling waiting for wingmen to join. The game wasn't doing this before, does anyone else have this or is it just me? -
2.5.6 Mustang Campaign Issues
XAiracobraX replied to JupiterJoe's topic in P-51D: The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign
Looks like there have been several hotfixes since I tried it. I will try again tonight with these hotfixes installed. The settings I have been using are in the attached pictured. :helpsmilie: (I don't know how to make images show in line with the text.) With these settings in the P-51d instant action dogfight over normandy I get on average 120 FPS for reference. -
2.5.6 Mustang Campaign Issues
XAiracobraX replied to JupiterJoe's topic in P-51D: The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign
Have the issues from the 2.5.6 patch related to lower fps been improved yet? When I played the first bomber mission shortly after the 2.5.6 patch first released I was getting fps <10 when enemy fighters arrive even with choosing the reduced number of units. Would I have a better experience switching install to stable version?
