  1. Good to know! I'm new to ED games, but I've been gaming since the early 90's. I've seen this term thrown around on these forums a few times. It sounds horrible. It's either a video game (ArmA/BF3) or a sim (Steel Beasts)
  2. Agreed. I should rephrase that; each gun site should have its own unique reticle.
  3. Having done a few tank gunneries in real life I can tell you that you cannot see the main gun while looking through the gunners primary site (GPS). Same goes for the Bradley.
  4. I look forward to it! It would be nice to have separate reticules for each weapon system. I took a look through the tga files and it seems that many if them are used for several weapons. Each weapon system should have its own reticle.
  5. Can you post these as downloads, please. They look great.
  6. Am I doing this wrong or something? Didn't see any references in the manual.
  7. When I start the game up, it only gives me options for the Su25. Training, Fast Action, etc... How do I get to the combined arms portion? I have no experience with DCS products. EDIT - Nevermind. I got it. I had to find the missions under CA.
  8. A 'pause' feature would be great, just like Combat Mission. If you're not familiar with it, you can assign a unit a series of way points (path) but click a 'pause' button and the unit will hold its position until the pause button is depressed. Very convenient for organizing large attacks. In fact, I would say that it would probably be beneficial for DCS to look into the Combat Mission system when working on their ground game. Combat Mission has a great set of ground commands.
  9. The problem with SB is that it has itself in a pigeonhole. While the tank aspect of the game is good, the rest falls pretty flat in terms of a combined arms sim. On their forums, I've argued for the development of other aspects of the game (infantry, CAS, CCA) with lots of push-back. The attitude being: this is an armor sim, not an infantry sim. My viewpoint has always been, why limit yourself to an armor sim and not a full combined arms sim. I dont think ArmA does it very well, and whomever can produce something even remotely decent will find itself with a decently-sized community behind it. I'm really hoping DCS can fill the void of combined arms games.
