The health bar needs to go, and shouldnt dictate what's damaged on the tank. -

M2 Bradley TOW Reload Bug
Apocalypse31 replied to Apocalypse31's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
No ammo trucks nearby - the vehicle wasn't out of ammo. They just needed to reload their TOW system. -
There's a 50/50 chance that an M2 Bradley will get stuck infinitely reloading. I can't reproduce, but last night I had an entire 6-vehicle platoon suffer from this bug. After firing both loaded TOW missiles, player reloads, then vehicle gets stuck in the reload position infinitely. This is a game breaker for Combined Arms players.

Those look awesome! I wish they were standard, so mods were not required. -
I play Combined Arms frequently and I've noticed a terrible bug where rounds, either tank, auto cannon, or machine gun will pass through enemy vehicles and troops. I have not been able to replicate this bug, but it is a game breaker for anyone who plays Combined Arms. I know this isnt a detailed report, but as stated, I have no way to reproduce. Has anyone reported this - or is ED aware of this bug?

Can the M818 run out of ammo? I thought they had unlimited ammo.
-
It was an 818 - I didn't have any issues reloading other vehicles - just that one. It was odd. I'll update my first post to prevent the "20 Questions" from happening again.

Happened with an ammo truck.
-
ALT+\ Didn't work either.
-
Tried that - didn't work.

What does this mean, and how do I fix it? Edit - Backstory I had a platoon of LAV-25's attacking into a city during a multiplayer scenario. They began to run low on ammo, so I brought forward a supply platoon of M818 trucks. I refilled ammo for 2x LAV-25's. The first one had no issues, although, it took some time. The second one got stuck with the "Reloading, Ready in 1s" notification.

Hello everyone, A few friends and I have transitioned from Steel Beasts to DCS: Combined Arms. Are there any virtual units in need of a dedicated ground component? We are numbering from 3-5 depending on available (US EST through MST) and have been playing Steel Beasts as a group for over two years. We have our tactics straight and work well together and with adjacent units. Additionally, several of us have real world military experience with ground operations in Iraq and Afghanistan (and both). Part of that experience includes working with close combat aviation, close air support, and unmanned aerial systems throughout combat operations. Shoot me a PM if you or your VU is interested. We normally hang out on the SimHQ Teamspeak.

Also - the player is limited to the mouse for input control while in Isometric view. Joystick cannot rotate the turret while the player is in Iso view.

This is still an issue.

In game LAV-25 loadout is 210 rounds (60 AP / 150 HE) Real LAV-25 loadout is 420 rounds (mixture depends on mission).

I've had this happen on multiple occasions. Last night, while playing a multiplayer session I encountered a T-80 that seemed to be invincible. I fired 3 AP rounds from my M1A2 that seemed to pass right through him with no effect. I attempted to flank him, but only got off 1 round (passed through him again) before he killed me. Whats up with this issue? It's a huge turn off for Combined Arms.

I cannot agree with you enough! I've also noticed that the sounds are louder in third person than they are in first person.

Was playing in an M1A2 last night AP was replenishing fine, but HE was inconsistent. Some other questions - I pulled my tank up to the 818 and sat there but didnt see anything. Does a player have to abandon the vehicle for this to work? We could really use some more refinement on this process, like a text note or something in the UI letting us know that the process is occurring. Steel Beasts has it worked out nicely.

I'm not sure if you understand the question.. The M1A2, for example, has three ammunition storage areas - ready rack, semi-ready rack, and hull storage. In game it takes a 7 seconds to reload a round from the ready rack, 14 seconds from the semi ready rack, and the hull storage is not modeled. In real life, crewmen shuffle their ammo from the semi-ready rack to the ready racks in order to access it faster. We need this ability in game. Regarding ammo trucks - we need visual feedback, or at least a que about [edit] re-arming at trucks.

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway

Also - will this fix the floating terrain issues that some areas suffer from? -
1.5.3.52478 Infantry soldiers (all nations) when encountering an enemy will change their default alarm state from AUTO to RED. During RED alarm state, infantry will only walk forward 1 inch at a time - this is regardless of if they still in contact with the enemy. The player has to manually change the alarm state to GREEN, then back to AUTO in order to get them to walk at a normal speed again and return fire if they encounter an enemy. Infantry set to GREEN alarm state will maintain a normal walking pace, but will NOT return fire It seems that AUTO alarm state doesn't switch back

1.5.3.52478 Russia & Georgian Infantry will not display correct walk animations when assigned manual waypoints by the player during a game. They will glide instead of walk. Both of these models will display correct walk animations only if they are given mission-editor pre-set waypoints FIRST. Both models will display correct walk animations if they are given manual, player waypoints BUT have first been assigned a waypoint in the map editor.
