  1. After flying the F15C specifically in the great fun Georgian Campaign, I wanted a red jet. The Flanker was the obvious choice but is irritating as hell. Far too many departures. Now the 29 is the fun multi role I wanted. It’s little legs (low fuel) just give it more character and something else to think about. Nice work!
  2. So in short we’re agreed then? Precis below; If fighters we’re occupied they wouldn’t be wasting AMRAAMs on RW. Modern radars can see rotor blades if they are looking for them...(see above) RW pilots have little to protect them, loads to shoot them therefore have the. biggest “balls”. ????
  3. Just found this forum after bigging up the campaign elsewhere. Best flight sim I’ve had in decades, about half way and the ROE work is great. Kudos! Considering A10C module + your campaign but it would be far better if you did a KA50 one....(hint) I’ve got a rotary heart really. I’ve a few ideas and resources for missions if you’re ever wanting help from a 0 technical guy.
  4. I bought the F15C Georgia campaign today and I must say it is some great work! £8 well spent. Keep it going.
  5. What he said.
  6. Agreed. The RFI and Longbow on a D amongst other bits could make the AH a little OP vs KA50. It would be interesting to see how they model the FLIR flying on one eye on AH too. I’d rather they turn round and say no we aren’t instead of something like Sqn 42.
  7. Naah you’d never get anything done. Helis do have stabilisation systems to ease the pot stirring but the modern ones have 4 axis autopilot that can do almost anything. But Look at the rotor head designs and that will tell you a bit how they handle.
  8. Not to be a spoil sport but... Isn’t it blowing up a dam a war crime? :smilewink:
  9. Google J Catch To offer just an another pin. Check out J-Catch. Live RW vs FJ exercise back in the day. Tech has moved on but i’d argue weapon loads are reduced on jets so still applies. I’m only getting back into DCS again since buying a new computer and loving it so no idea of the MP situation. But in short if FJs are finding and killing helis it is because they have no other threat to worry about so the RW is screwed. Ideally GBAD or your own Fj should be keeping them busy.
  10. Still waiting An A model would be nice but a D would be epic. Take my money already. Black shark 3 will have to do if not.
  11. I dont know on the game but.... For real, If you want to avoid being spotted for real it is NOE, low level and tactical flying. Cover to cover. Only fire when you can hit the priority target and unless you are fired at don't fire your flares it tells them where you are! Tactical flying think backdrop, is your hover kicking up dust, shoot and scoot. If they are searching for you on IR well you are screwed. If you get spotted... turn into your attacker, you'll never out run him/her (he is a plank wing loser :P), combine your speed with theirs for a head on and jink. They should lose you in the turn unless they have a padlock feature which is a great help. Best bet if their are mud movers about is get into a friendly GBAD area and get the A10 smashed by your own air defence...fighters or SAMs. Firing on them is a nice idea to put them off but I would suggest your chances are somewhat slim...but never say never. However this is real world stuff. I have just bought a new laptop to play ka50 so hopefully I'll see some of you online in a few days.
