Request help understanding the In Game FPS counter numbers
Hoggorm replied to Hoggorm's topic in Virtual Reality
These are my specs: AMD AM4 Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 3600MHz 32GB MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO I am using the HP Reverb G2 headset. I believe my HP Reverb G2 VR headset is set to 90Hz. In the main menu I have 90 FPS flat, but it seem to be capped at 60 while in game. VirusAM say that some settings will limit FPS, but as far as I know all these are off on my computer? -
Request help understanding the In Game FPS counter numbers

Thank you for the quick reply VirusAM Yes, I understand that my GPU is the limiting factor and that is a good thing I would assume (since it is green an all). But what does (theor. FPS 59.8) mean? I do not follow you here. Is this in relation the the (theor. FPS 59.8) message? -
Request help understanding the In Game FPS counter numbers
Hoggorm posted a topic in Virtual Reality
Hello, In VR, when displaying the In Game FPS counter, I see some terms that I would love to know what means: This is using the MT test edition. When FPS is for example reported to be 34: GPU BOUND (theor. FPS 59.8) Sorry for the bad picture! Other messages that may appear: CPU bound (main thread) CPU bound (rendering thread) -
Hello, I have a fairly high en computer: AMD AM4 Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO HP Reverb G2 VR I use the Marianas F-16 Free Flight Instant Mission to test FPS and I get the following: In VR without MT: 40 FPS In VR with MT: 35 FPS (CPU Bound Main Thread and CPU Bound Rendering Thread) Non-VR without MT: 60 FPS Non-VR with MT: 90 FPS (GPU Bound) The Non-VR part is basically a test only since I only fly in VR. I see that I get about 5-15 FPS less using MT than what I do without MT. Using the FPS counter I see that I am CPU Bound Main Thread and CPU Bound Rendering Thread in MT (sometimes flickering back and forth very fast between red and yellow). Going through the checklist in the FAQ for "Why am I seeing no to little performance gain?" all steps have been done. I've set Nvidia Thread optimization to On (instead of Auto) SMT in BIOS is set to Auto. Using Windows Performance Monitor it does not seem like my CPU is used to the max even though I have the CPU Bound message in DCS while in VR. See attached screenshot. I really do not know where to start to resolve this issue, so any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you all! -
correct as is Engine flameout firing the Kh-25ML missile
Hoggorm replied to Hoggorm's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thank you! I tried with 60 km/h and that did not work. I now tried with 100 and the engine did not flame out -
correct as is Engine flameout firing the Kh-25ML missile

I seem to have an engine flameout on the same side where I launch the Kh-25ML missile. I assume the rocket exhaust causes this? I've tried to fire the missile from both hover and with speed without success... Flameout every time. What am I doing wrong? -
Custom kneeboard. Will it work in multiplayer missions?
Hoggorm replied to Hoggorm's topic in Multiplayer
Thank you Rudel_chw, I'll try this right away -
Hello, I`d like to try and create a custom kneeboard that include start checklists, some radio frequencies etc. But then I vaguely recall that I will not be able to use them in multiplayer missions (that I neither have created nor is hosting). is this correct or is it possible to create custom kneeboards?

Thank you LOW_Hitman! DCS System Resolution: This means that with this setting on the resolution will be lower than what the Reverb G2 can offer, but most likely a smoother experience? Use Built in audio: I see what you mean, but I do not see the reason? Where would the audio be forced from? It is already in the Reverb G2 headset. HMD Mask and MSAA Mask Size: So this setting works together with MSAA in System Settings? If MSAA in system settings is off, this will have no effect?

Yes, I see that in the Nvidia Control Panel. I'll try with the DisplayPort for some time and see if it works well
-
I'll do that. Thank you. What am I looking for would you say?

Hello, I have a MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO and a TUF VG27WQ1B monitor. Both allow DisplayPort and HDMI connections. What should I use for best quality and performance?

I was unable to launch HARM and Maverick - what did I do wrong?
Hoggorm replied to Hoggorm's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yes, I had rearmed and boresighted the mavericks while on the ground. -

This was a one time event. I've fired many both Maverics and HARMs since. -

Indeed. It appears to me as if there is no obvious cause of this issue. Hopefully it will not happen again. -

Yes, I was using the «pickle» button. Just did not know the correct term for it. -

Hoggorm replied to Hoggorm's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I had the Maverick tracking a target, and later the HARM solution in the HUD was blinking, indicating a valid shot was available, but no missile was released when I pressed the trigger. And yes, I did have master arm on. With "what did I wrong?" I was hoping someone would recognize a common mistake that probably was made by me while flying. I have very little more info to give, so if the solution is not obvious, I guess I'll just hope it never happens again. It has not happened before, and not since. I'm afraid I do not know how to provide a short track file... -

No... I'm fairly sure I was in AG mode.
