Thanks. Seems to work. What is perplexing is that the mission started in 'Game Avionics Mode' (the round SA display in top right-hand corner). I only fly with full options on and the only way to get rid of that was to actually CHECK the two boxes. Almost looks like in inverse logical switch. Anyway, it is fixed now. Thanks for the help. Finished the mission successfully. Trick was to get the wingman to go for Air Defenses around the Canadian Leopards, then have him pick out the Leopards one by one. He survived and we cleared the whole battlefield. Lesson in wingman management :). Cheerio

FC2 with patch applied... Stock mission "Long Day" 3 out of 4 takeoffs blow an engine on takeoff. I use 100% thrust and start pulling back at 280 kmh with full flaps down. Am I missing something ? :helpsmilie: Thanks

There is a file called SU-27.cmd in the shapes folder. Like you said there are entries at the bottom. I opened it in notepad but was afraid to edit. Not sure it would help either. What application would you use anyway ? Thanks

Hod do people add extra skin slots for the same model then ? I have seen references to that (Modman packages that advertise extra skins slots).

Well, I figured it out...Russia and Ukraine share skins 0, 3 and 4. The system then attaches either a star or a roundelle (sp ?). Looking at the file it seems that if I generate a new GUID and add another layer to the cdds file I should be able to add another skin slot. Am I correct ? The old limit does not apply any more ? I am trying to change payload configs in FC2. Apparently, Meinit.xml does not exist any longer. Did a search and found some discussions in the Russian section but nothing in the English section. Specifically, I want to add the R77 to the SU27...Was able to using LOPE in FC1.12. But things have changed. Anybody know what my current options might be ? Thanks

Now that I have installed FC2 I would like to be able to remove FC1.12. If at some point in the future I would need to reinstall FC2 on the same PC would I need to reinstall LOMAC or could I use a registry file (like with FC 1.12) ? Thanks

First of all, I have to say I am very impressed with the overall feel of the new game. Great job guys :clap_2: :clap_2: :clap_2: Here is my question : I do not use SST for my X52 (not Pro) because FS2004 and FC1.12 recognized all the buttons in DX mode. The less software I need to run the better. Last night I tried for hours to get my POV2 to move the target designator. When I program it with POV1 it works fine. But POV2, POV3 and POV4 show no signs of life on FC2. When I go into the controllers section of control panel all the buttons DO work fine. Thanks for any tips.

Finally made the switch to a widescreen monitor. Now I find my default view is too far forward. How can I change the default zoom or viewpoint in FC ? Thanks

Just reinstalled 1.12a. Cannot get runway illumination even with Alt+L. I set all the options to max and still cannot see anything !? Any suggestions gents ?

Anybody know whether loading only one Sorbstiya ECM pod has any negative effect on ECM ability ? Does it half it ? Or does it disable it ? Thanks

Doh, let me answer my own question : I DID change the mipmap setting for my video card. I moved it one notch down and voila - FC looks just as beautiful as before. It was set for max quality - moved it down one notch towards performance - for those that might be interested. Thanks
