Thanks you were right some how game mode was enabled. Soon as i switched it to Sim it works fine.

I did what the 2nd person suggested I left the control panel properties of my joystick open (don't know what that was supposed to accomplish) but it did nothing. I tried clearing all the default keyboard settings for "Throttle" and cleared the axis "Joy_Slider" for "Thrust" and re did them. I can only use Joy_Slider for Thrust, not for "Throttle" and nothing i do allows me to control the throttle with my joystick's slider and yes the slider works perfectly on every other plane i own for DCS.

i can't imagine that the publisher decided that you can use the joystick slider in every other one of their aircraft but the mig 15, and i went into axis, cleared the joy_slider for thrust, and added it manually and still nothing. in the standard controls its labelled as "throttle" when i click the logitech 3d box next to keyboard there is no option for joy_slider just joystick buttons, when i go into the axis, there is no throttle option, just "thrust" ive manually added it, and ive pulled up/down on the slider to auto detect it and still it does nothing to control the throttle. its rendered the game all but unplayable. please there has to be some way to use the slider like every other aircraft model made for dcs as the throttle control.

Its been awhile since I played but and forgive me if my terms arent precise I always used the joystick slider to control the collective to provide power to the helo. Now whenever i start the helo up or try and land even with the joystick slider all the way down the Helo takes off like a rocket around the ground even with the brakes applied. I even tried the page down and other command for the throttle and set them all to zero and the helo still races around the ground. its making the game unplayable. Please what am I doing wrong? How can i go back to just the joystick slider controlling the power?

As the topic states I just bought the MiG 15 and unlike every other aircraft I own I can't get the slider on my joystick to control the throttle. In the controls section there is "Thrust" which is controlled by page down/up, and when i hit Axis or whatever, there is a Throttle section and Joy_slider is assigned to it, but I'll be damned if it does anything. I slide the joystick slider up and down and nothing but the second i hit page down the throttle responds. How can I get the joystick slider to control the throttle? I mean i use a joystick for a reason and having to use page down/up while dogfighting is really annoying.

Sometimes i get warning generator 2 failure, warning generator 1 failure but can find no warning lights and it doesnt seem to effect flight performance. What is it, what causes it, should i be concerned, and what remedies it?

Look I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. when i try and hover over an object ill pull up and cut power until my speed drops, then im constantly fighting to keep the pitch/power right and im dancing all over the place drifting forward, drifting right, etc etc and when i try to land i get the same issues except sometimes i seem to cause a vortex ring state, however, ive learned to avoid entering that condition most of the time now but i still worry that when i land ill slice off the tail boom with my own rotors

Are there any official updates that allow me to have an english cockpit? failing that are there any unofficial mods that allow it and if so how do I employ them? I tried once several months ago and followed the instructions to the best of my ability and still have been unable to have an english cockpit. Now I've been learning Russian for awhile but its still no where near good enough to be able to translate the many acronyms and such of a russian labeled cockpit. Please help its turning what appears like a fun module into a bust

My question is when I am asked to update my DCS Word 1.5.x to DCS World 1.5.x.x, does that include updates for modules ive downloaded such as the M-2000? and if not does that mean i need to redownload it separately? I ask because I'm curious if there are any official training missions and or campaign missions for it.

Well I was using the HUD's PK meter, I was firing when the caret dropped into max range. Let me rephrase I was locking them up at 20-35 miles, and firing when the HUD's range caret on the PK index dropped to max range which i believe is the 2nd hash mark closest to the top is it not?

I've fired dozens of both the AIM-120 Bravos and Charlies from my F-15 and have not yet got a single hit. I'm mostly using them now to break up an enemy formation at range. I'm getting a solid radar lock and I've been launching them at 20-35'ish miles, maintaining my own radar lock until that T countdown on the HUD goes to zero, and sometimes i even fire a second one at the same target and still not one damned hit I'm placing that expanding circle on the HUD over the target box, I'm guiding it all the way in during that T countdown with my own radar yet nothing. I'm getting more kills with the AIM-7 Sparrow which is junk compared to the AMRAAM. Also I'm firing when when we're almost always head on closure rate as well. so it only has to go straight. What am I doing wrong?

I seem to have misplaced my manual and i was wondering where i can snag the latest manual that covers all the new updates and such since when i last bought/read it 3+ months prior.

Has anyone put together like a really serious campaign for Ukraine/NATO retaking Crimea and driving the Russians out of the Donbass? Something detailed like the way the A-10 Campaigns were, you take out a bridge and their army in the field loses that MSR, etc etc. I'd love to see a campaign you could play with both sides. I love the Georgia campaigns but i just wish we had something a bit more current.

Was wondering if there has been any updates at all of the Mirage since i bought it approximately 3 months ago.

I've flown this mission 4 times the first time everything went fine but i got killed the last 3 times i fly to the way point and dont get the message to contact RASKAT F10, and i just the entire route with out any bandits or anything. what am i doing wrong and how can i fix this?

When i should i turn the ECM music on during what situations? and what situations should i absolutely not use it?

sorry i knew that i just had a brain fart but im adjusting it so its scaning below 10,00ft and its still not picking up the bandits until im very close and im using that intermediate scanning mode HI to MED

I'm flying the 7th mission of the Bear Trap campaign. the enemy is at 12,000ft I'm flying around 25-30,000ft and as i get closer 120 miles, 80 miles, 30 miles i switch my radar closer and use the TDC to scroll down so the range scale on the left reads 0 to whatever but im not picking them up until they are within visual range like 10 miles out am I doing something wrong? should i be flying map of the earth and blend into the terrain clutter of the enemy radar and hilight the russians at 12,000 in the sky for better lock on range? I just can't get past this mission. Please help.

After the latest update it changed my controls to bring up the kneeboard now all i can do is bring it up i can't mark my position or change the page and all the controls are in red in the options no matter what i switch it to http://imgur.com/qDziOA9

Because when you're out of F-8s, you're out of fighters! Razbam did one for FSX it wasnt the greatest but it was something. I'd love to see more Gen 3 airplanes especially the Century series F-100 Super Sabres, aka the Hun, F-104 Star Fighter, F-105 Thuds, F-4 Phantoms, F-9F Panther or F-80 Shooting Star would be cool too for Gen 2, but mostly I'd like to see the F-8 Crusader, and the F-111 Aardvark.

After the latest update which reset my default cockpit language from english to russian tyvm, i ve noticed that during campaign missions that require a cold start I'm following exactly the same start up routine i've always used but i can't bank. I have to use the rudder to roll me into a turning position. Now the in cockpit flight stick goes left/right just fine, and i even tested my USB Flight controller out to make sure it was working ok and it is, and i can bank just fine in hot start missions but i have absolutely no idea whats causing this. I've even tried engaging and disengaging SAU to see if its an autopilot thing but with no joy. plz help.

Has anyone had their update change the default MiG cockpit language? Its back to Russian and I can't find where to change it i went to Options and Special / MiG 21/ but there is no default language option
