  1. Everytime I taxi up for take off. I make sure to hit Left ALT + Q to make sure NWS is off, i slowly increase the throttle and start to pull back on the stick and the plan starts wobbling left, i correct and it goes even further right, then correct, and then almost off the run way the other way, i have to put it in full burner and pull up hard. Am I doing something wrong? I thought NWS was only engaged by holding S, i even hit LALT+Q to make sure it was off before take off and still the same problem.
  2. As for the landings the Flanker has a thrust to weight ratio greater than 1:1 so you can let those beautiful engines push you home
  3. On 1 of the Bear Trap Campaign missions I'm having a very difficult time turning along the taxi way and keep ending up in the dirt Ive tried just starting up and using the brake to turn and no joy i've tried engaging nose wheel steering by hitting S and still can't make the turn in either direction Am i doing something wrong? do i have to hold S? for NWS? is there a light that comes on when its engaged? any advice welcomed.
  4. About how far away should the target be away from me when i launch and what is that missile's PK? Also is there any significant differences in the AIM-120B or AIM-120C ?
  5. Are there any self made or official Training missions to help teach you how to fly the F-15C?
  6. I was just wondering if there was any training missions and such to visually teach you how to run the Mirage 2000's sub sections.
  7. I've noticed in the DCS World module Su-27 mission "gauntlet" that when im making violent maneuvers i keep going into this weird stall were i invert upside down and just can't not either turn right side up, or get the nose to point down, every time i try and push the stick up or use rudder, its like the plane automatically rights itself, and i have to start rocking it, go as far as i can to get the nose down, the plane tries to right itself upside down, i pull back, and after 4-5 times i get enough momentum to get the nose down and pull out of the stall.. What the hell is causing this? I've never had a plane fight me before like this yet alone try and put itself back in an upside down stall over and over again. Is there some kind of autopilot assistance im missing? or trimmer?
  8. I tried again and ended up with the same results I've included a track. Please can some one play it and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I mean i cant play the damned campaign and such if i am incapable of landing. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rtcpb051fuimcda/rvs.trk?dl=0
  9. Every time I try and land the Mi-8 I approach the runway, I lower power and pull up to kill airspeed, and when i've got no airspeed, and im dropping at like 2.5m per second in a hover, the entire helicopter starts to shake and i just drop out of the sky, even if i increase power it doesn't help i just fall like a rock is this "ring vortex" or whatever its called? what am I doing wrong? and how should I land properly.
  10. Im trying to learn how to really fly the Saber but i keep constantly putting her into a flat spin and its pretty difficult to get out of at low altitude. What am I doing that can cause this? what are "No Nos" not to do when maneuvering the F-86>
  11. I've been following the some what lacking manual on this and it says to uncage the gyro pipper, then it starts bouncing around, and then to hit Radar target selector button - enter- all that happens is the pipper bounces around the screen and then i hit enter and it freezes wherever i hit it. I'm flying next to this huge Anatonov cargo plane and its just bouncing around, i kept hitting enter trying to get a radar lock but nothing can some one please explain what im doing wrong?
  12. Under the Radio Menu - Wingman, Maneuvers, i've got options for Break right, left, high, low I understand that Clear right Clear Left, not so clear on that and Pump, what is pump? and when should i use these commands?
  13. I just did it again and waited 10. still nothing no lights.
  14. Hey I'm having a problem when I cold start my aircraft in the campaign missions. I follow all the training missions start up procedures and i made sure the switches on the right side that turn the power on are flipped, the 1st light will not turn red or green, if i flip it all the way up ill get the radar screen to turn on but no lights, the middle switch the ground filter will turn solid green when flipped, but ive tried toggling the 1st to standby while im starting the aircraft it just won't turn on. is there something obvious that I'm missing?
  15. I've noticed that its pretty difficult to look at the right and left hand console panels with TrackIR it is really jumpy for some reason with the F-86 when it works perfectly with other planes. Is there some special settings people are using to get smooth performance? I've actually had to resort to disabling TrackIR and using the numpad keys to focus on the right/left hand console panels to do anything with them.
  16. Ok so i learned that there are 2 different systems the flares from the jamming pod they make a loud thunk and only pop out every 1-3 seconds but the ASO pod seems to pop them out quicker. What I don't know is how to fight the MiG-21. For example in the opening moments of the Hardest Mission A-A, I'm behind the F-16 MLU, I'll lock him up with the a radar guided missile and fire at around 3.5 miles, then switch to IR because he always breaks the lock. Now at this point I don't know what to do, should I try and turn with the F-16? or take the fight into the vertical? Whenever I try to violently maneuver to break missile lock i seem to either do 3 things, 1 fail and get blown up, 2 stall my engine and get blown up waiting for the emergency relight, 3, enter a flat spin and die. Also i seem to be set in this mindset of Engage! Engage! and keep fighting the F-16 rather than turning cold and trying to gain position on it. I wish the manual or even a training mission would set you up in basic positions and show you what you should do. When I try to turn with the F-16 i pop the speed break and try and get an IR lock we're at like 1 mile or closer, and i just can't get the pipper to stay locked on him for long enough for the missile to launch and if it does, he s pulling so much G the missile doesn't track, and well guns forget it, Ayways for the campaign missions ive come up with a strategy im about to implement in the 1 mission where you are flying CAP, you and you're wing man are flying and a group of 4 enemy fighters comes in, I'm going to try and fly away from them really low and blend in with the ground clutter, let them pass and then turn on them and see if i can't pop them with a IR missile with out using radar.
  17. Ive been playing the MiG 21 stand alone missions and campaigns and every time, EVERY time i get launched upon I get shot down. Now obviously I'm not evading the missiles properly. How am I supposed to evade them? Which way do I break? do I climb? dive? add thrust, cut thrust? I hit the pop chaff/flare button and i hear 1 or 2 thunks but the missile always always hits me. Please theres no training mission like in A-10C on missile avoidance and obviously what i learned for the A-10C isn't working for the MiG 21. Ill give the most common example in the "HARDEST" A-A mission the first target the F-16 MLU i start off about 6 miles behind him, at same altitude, while im powering up my jamming pod and switching my missile selector switches and such he changes direction he turns into me by breaking right and dropping down, and fires an AIM-120 at me, I've tried breaking left, right, up, down, popping chaff/flares I get hit every single time. Some one PLEASE point me to something that can show me how to evade this damned missile.
  18. I'm not sure if its the KPP or NPP the one that shows course, RSBN/ARC lines and used for the equiv of ILS landing. When i manually start the plane in the campaign mode the inner part of it shakes and moves around apart from the outer hash marks, but when i do missions where Im already airborne it is fixed and doesn't dance around wildly. What am I doing wrong? Im following the Startup training mission to the letter.
  19. First there are no training missions, and on top of that no campaign for it either!? Are there any 3rd party training missions or Campaigns i can download for the F-86 elsewhere?
  20. either 2 things will happen I will select beam rider mode. Pitch down and target just below the warship on the horizon, wait until i get the launch light the Grom will release to just a few hundred meters off the water and track then fall short into the water or I'll target the ship and fly in fast and close and fire and the Kh-66 flies right over the shp and splashes in the water so far the cloest thing i can call success is the missile splashed down relatively close enough to the naval ship as to cause maybe minimum damage. Is there a specific flight envelop for these? Start out at X ft, at X kph, Start Dive X miles out, maintain dive of X - neg degrees, and launch the missile from X distance out from ship
  21. Im flying 1 of the MiG 21 Campaign missions and I get a warning from AWACs that 4 enemy planes are coming at 29 for 12, and i go to engage and i get a missile fired at me, basically head on What are good evasive maneuvers to break the lock of missiles fired on you from air planes? I only learned how to break locks of missiles from sams flying A-10s.
  22. I guess it was Oxygen because it went away when i got 16,000ft but i followed every step in the start up tutorial? where did i miss something as important as Oxygen?!?
  23. How can I tell if i'm suffering from Annoxia? all of a sudden everything is all fuzzy and hard to read. and its getting sluggish to re-act but the 2 gauges on the left side o2 storage and consumption i cant make out exactly but the gauges are greater than zero. Im going to drive down, Im currently at 25,600ft
  24. What is the right altitude and Engine RPM to extend maximum range?
  25. how about simple stuff like If a F-4 has you at your six and has a greater altitude, try this to get away and repositon for a better angle. what works against what?
