Overdue update on this, life has been pretty busy lately. I'm now using a much better 3D CAD program that allows me to make new items much quicker and more accurate. So I've re-made the collective in this software and have just sent it off to the printers with the tweaks needed from the previous design. All lettering will laser etched into the surface. BR Rich

Yep, ok I will add it in. Will have to check in the sim how it works! Probably not just the collective box, I will more thank likely offer a fully wired head and shaft that can be added onto a custom base unit if people don't want to buy mine. BR Rich

I have a separate friction system on my Collective levers that differs from the KA-50, but I believe the brake lever also functions as part of the autopilot system in the sim? If thats correct then I will be adding the lever with a switch to make the system function correctly. BR Rich

Hi guys, Finally finished the design. Have just ordered the first one from the printers. Should get that back in a couple of weeks. BR Rich

At the moment for the Multi-Grip Base and the Huey Cyclic it would be around $780 plus shipping to the US/Outside Europe or £470 plus shipping and VAT to UK & Europe. BR Rich

It just seems a very violent manoeuvre, both in the AW109 I fly now and the SK76 I used to fly certainly wasn't that violent. It was a very smooth return to position. Having said that I might be wrong, I have never flown the Huey, KA-50 or Mi-8 so this might be right. It my experience of flying real world this seems very violent. BR Rich

Well it depends on which helicopter type you are comparing it to. Not all helicopters have force trim or any other type of SAS system. Although very good, the system in the video isn't that realstic either. The return to position spring is far too strong, if it did that in a real helicopter it would probably give you some bad whip lash at the very least. The SAS system should 'fly' you back to the previous position if displaced without pressing the trim release. But as I said this is something I am working on BR Rich

Hi, No the cyclic isn't Force Feedback at the moment, although I am looking into it. The cyclic uses small hydraulic dampers to lightly hold it in position when you let go, it's a sort of trimming system. It allows you to fly for much longer periods without you arm aching so much. The controls are compatible with any game the recognises a normal joystick, the axis' and buttons are the same and can be allocated specific functions the same way as you can a normal joystick. Couple of pictures of the progress of the new VBS ProStart Huey Collective. Just about finished the the design work, will then get a prototype made and tested and then it's good to go. Haven't got an idea of cost yet, but will keep this thread updated. BR Rich

Oh don't worry, they are far better quality than the Logitch ones!! BR Rich

The HATS are designed and made in house and althought not mil spec (little over the top for this stuff) the buttons are certainly not the cheap ones!! I've thought about doing fixed stuff before, but just concentrating on helicopters at the moment. Cheers Rich

Hi, The Black Shark Cyclic is next and the Multi-Grip Collectives aren't too far away. Hopefully ony a month or so, just designing the adapter so it can switch between floor mounted collectives such as the Huey and seat mounted ones like the Black Shark and B206. BR Rich

Hi, Pictures of the Multi-Grip are just being sorted at the moment. The best pictures of the controls are on the Facebook site. Link is my signature. The website stuff is being updated. Cheers Rich

Hi Guys, Well after a tricky year in development, possibly longer:music_whistling:, the the first part of the Multi-Grip System is ready. I'm proud to announce the VBS ProCyclic MG. Currently Grips available are the B206/BK117, AS350 and of course the UH-1H Huey. With more being added to the range in the future. The way the system works, is you buy a base unit which has all the electronics etc.. in and then buy a grip to attach to the base. You can then choose other grips from the range and simply interchange the grips to suit the helicopter you are flying. Will have some pictures soon. Cost VBS ProCyclic MG Base unit £250 VBS ProCyclic 206M £200 VBS ProCyclic 117M £200 VBS ProCyclic 350 £220 VBS ProCyclic Huey £200 All prices are excluding VAT (if applicable) and shipping. I do ship World Wide. As an introductory offer any orders placed before the end of January 2014 (times based on GMT) will receive a 10% discount. I will keep the Facebook page, link below, up to date with pictures of the various grips etc.. as they come out. Our website is still being updated, but if you have any questions please post them below or us the contact form on the website to contact me directly. Best Regards Rich :joystick:

Anything running in the background will always take something away for what you are running, no matter how powerful your proc is. BR Rich

Don't forget tho that just because DCS isn't or doesn't use HT doesn't mean other processes in windows won't be using them. With an i5 background processes will be taking valuable resources away from DCS. BR Rich

Hi Griffin, They are roughly modelled from a B206 JetRanger. I'm not at home at the moment so can't measure the seat height. It doesn't have to be a set height, as long as you are comfortable that's the main thing. What ever position you need to have you heels on the ground with the balls of your feet resting on the pedals. The most important thing tho is to have your heels touching the ground, you don't want to be resting you while foot on the pedal. BR Rich
