  1. I think it's more to do with 'filtering'....as in, in DCS there isn't any filtering going on. In FSX and others there is definitely filtering going on which smooths out the input data somewhat. DCS reads the values 'raw'. On the upside, if you're using Hall Sensors the input is 100% solid. If you used a calibration tool to view the raw output from the CH stuff, I'm certain you'd see that same jitter. At the end of the day, they're only pots.
  2. Sharpe, just do yourself a favour and read through the past few pages. All your questions are answered.
  3. Wags just said that. As far as weapons that's the 'world' domain. The Eagle and Flanker will just have AFM. That's all.
  4. There's the start to another epic thread right there! ;)
  5. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting the airquakers down. I'm just saying there's a difference between the people who'll pick up FC3 on a whim and fly for a laugh and the people who'll have more of an interest in reading through a 600 page manual and devote a huge chunk of time towards studying a sim. We can all take a rough guess at how many there are of each group in the world.
  6. also to be blunt. If they take their A2A seriously, they're not 'airquakers' ;)
  7. Also ... It's a double-pack...mark my words. For anyone wondering why they're not hi-fi modules...the 'airquakers' fly the eagle and flanker...and the airquakers pay the bills.
  8. Interestingly enough, Wags edited his 3rd May post to read No mention of DCS:F-15C in there anymore. Let's be honest, the 'DCS' moniker was a bit misleading.
  9. Well, well, well ;)
  10. This is an old one. Corrupted tracks are quite common unfortunately.
  11. In a fairly recent podcast interview, Wags mentioned that ED and third parties were working on Modules that were more comparable to FC3 Aircraft than full blown study sims. Ive read a few places that say lower fidelity modules sell way more than the 'study' modules. I'm just wondering why ED haven't announced these mid range modules yet. ...Or maybe they have recently announced them and there's going to be a lot of disappointed people. Me included.
  12. Lovely, thanks.
  13. More of a trainwreck than a tutorial. Sorry. And commiserations about getting a G940.
  14. SimFreak, where were you two minutes into recording that video?! ;) Seriously though, thanks for the shortcut.
  15. Yeah I noticed that too. I think it's to do with the music used. All along the Watchtower and House of the Rising Sun btw.
  16. I just posted a Huey video to Youtube using DTAC. It's at night but you get the idea! QUF96u4B0Fc Great mod btw.
  17. Hey all, Testing out a 'new' codec for recording with MSI Afterburner and decided to post the resulting video. Takeoff and Landing are a bit ropey but hey I've only had it a day! Hope you like the music ;) BTW, I'm using DTAC Terrain and the awesome NVG mod.

    No JTAC?

Send TurboHog a message. He sorted JTAC out for the KA-50. Maybe he'll do the same for the Huey?
  19. have a look at this - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101090 I only added ILS and TACAN but you can indeed add more beacons via the Beacons.lua (also, you'll get a full list of them in there)
  20. For sure. Bell definitely had something to do with the price increase. I'm surprised I haven't seen more people pointing this out! Still, I bought it of course. Got a bit of a soft spot for helicopters. Had a couple of flights in it and it's cool. Probably won't fly it much but it's nice to know that it's there.
  21. what happens if you uninstall the mod?
  22. Really great work. Only thing is the 'windowed mode' is a dealbreaker for me :( I can't live without Vsync and the performance hit isn't worth it. Will be watching it really closely though!
  23. Demongornot, I'm quite surprised how patient people have been with you over the past 5 pages of this thread but please show a bit of respect with regards to your wording towards the ED programmers. I've done my best to try and figure out what you're trying to propose and as multiple people have pointed out, it's just not possible. It'd be like me coming here and telling you to plug in all your headsets and joysticks and trying to use them all simultaneously with DCS World...or any other program for that matter. go ahead, give it a try...
  24. Guys, don't mess with Demongornot. He's got 2 heads and 4 arms.
  25. Furia, I actually posted a link to that Navpoint template earlier in this thread. Thanks for that, I do indeed use it. I realise a lot of this is limited to what we can do in DCS but as for the TACAN beacon being a bit off position, it doesn't really make that much difference. All TACAN beacons in DCS are situated directly in the centre of the airbase....It's close enough. We can indeed add extra TACAN stations to DCS World - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101090 ;)
