1. Hey JorgeIII, I was so impressed with this mission I made a Youtube video out of it! Hope people find it useful. (I edited the mission slightly to make it a bit more beginner friendly!) C2aZi_dXRm4
2. I'd seriously love to see the Hornet by the end of 2013...fingers crossed!!
3. Skoop thanks very much for the feedback, it really helps. I believe that DCS is now properly assigning the initiatorPilotName during every mission, but it's still not perfect. It seems that if you respawn, the initiatorPilotName is reset to the last aircraft you selected. For example, if you select an A10 with "Hawg11", DCS will correctly assign your PilotName to Hawg11, you take off, blow some stuff up, refuel land...and if you exit the server everything will be logged. However, if you don't exit after landing and respawn into that same aircraft (Hawg11) DCS will reset your PilotName..so taking off after that point will only track you from that point on. To keep it simple. Every time you "lose" your aircraft, exit the server to update your logbook. I've personally tested taking off, flying a mission...landing, repairing, rearming take off again and fly another mission all in one go...and this works perfectly. Any other situation where you need to respawn requires exiting the server to update the logbook. And with the updated me_debriefing I took this screenshot after a flight on the 104th server... no more CTD's with medals and stuff. Mastiff, I don't really understand. was it an SP or MP mission?
4. Hey Maverick. Really love the new A2G server. But i do have a small request. The tankers are way too fast! They must be doing around 270-280. Impossible to catch them in the hog. If you could slow them down a bit ill be on the server a lot more often :)

6. The server just messed up the URL - http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Mission_Editor:_JTAC_(Joint_Terminal_Attack_Controller) That should work! ;)
7. Two-Six, forgot about BS2. It's the old standalone version. DCS:World is where it's at now. DCSW is the new simulation...and it contains modules. Current modules are Black Shark (2), P-51 and A10. Buying the standalone Black Shark 2 is the same as buying the BS2 module for DCS World. You install DCS World, then install the modules into that. Main difference between BS2 standalone and BS2 DCS World module is that the standalone isn't updated anymore.
8. Haha! nice to see you Nor ;) Hope you enjoy the mod. Nice flying with ya.
9. No Ricardo, everything's automated now. Just copy and fly! ;)
10. The guy who wrote iControl is on these forums. He posted recently that he was updating iControl to work with Helios simutaneously. But, you'll have to do a search...because I can't be bothered! ;)
11. Guys, can you fly a mission and purposefully destroy a friendly (using the new me_debriefing file of course)? see if the notification shows at the debriefing screen. Might wanna set a new pilot/callsign up!
12. Skoop try the new file in this post. Should fix all the CTD's relating to medals/friendly fire etc. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1692728&postcount=18
13. Now that's just showing off! ;) Totally cool idea btw. I never thought the WH would impress me so much. It's the gift that keeps on giving! :joystick:
14. Mastiff, that might be related to the me_debriefing.lua thing. please download that file. replace it in my mod and try again. I just ask that you let me know if it works or not!
15. Very nice bn880! I've been working on my own 'combined' profile of late. I've got it so the stick outputs all 32 DX buttons before resorting to keyboard commands (I'm suspicious of too many keyboard commands getting sent to DCS:World, I'm sure it's possible to overload the engine somehow) All the buttons on the stick are mapped to DX buttons and most of the 'hand on' buttons on the throttle too. I wanted it to act like a regular joystick as much as possible for mapping to the other modules. There's also a couple of tricks in there too. all the LEDS are fully programmed (throttles on idle..all leds off. flaps down, 1 LED on..speedbrake LED etc.) and I have a couple of 'switched' commands using the stick paddle. paddle + mastermode switch toggles A2A refuelling curve. holding down paddle reduces the slew sensitivity..stuff like that. A10 and KA50 are mapped. Moving onto FC3 next :) I might release it when I'm done....if anyone's interested!
16. How'd you mean exactly? BTW, I really like the way the 15/18 Stick looks. TM made a thing about the Cougar being modular, but they didn't release another stick...until now at least ;) A question for those who know...Did TM announce the Warthog before ED announced A10c? or was it the other way round?
17. Ouch!
18. Did a bit of poking around in the controls configs and came upon some 'combo' commands. It pi...annoyed me a little bit ;) that one had to map the gun select and gun fire to separate commands, until I figured out that the game would do it for me! This allows you to map your first-stage trigger (X52/Warthog etc.) to Gun-Select (flipped up trigger cover)while held...second stage trigger fires. think of it like PAC1 and PAC2 in the A-10... go into \Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\ka-50\joystick and open your joystick Lua in Notepad++ or whatever...Add the following line.... {combos = {{key = ""}, }, down = iCommandPlaneModeCannon, up = iCommandPlaneModeCannon, name = "Gun Select Dual", category = "Ins Cyclic Stick"}, save it, then go into the control options and map it to your first stage trigger. obviously map the second stage trigger to gun fire. e.g. here's the first part of my lua. What I added is in red... function layout() return { forceFeedback = { trimmer = 1, shake = 0.5, swapAxes = false, invertX = false, invertY = false, }, keyCommands = { {combos = {{key = ""}, }, down = iCommandPlaneModeCannon, up = iCommandPlaneModeCannon, name = "Gun Select Dual", category = "Ins Cyclic Stick"}, {pressed = iCommandPlane_ABRIS_Axis_Decrease, name = "ABRIS Axis Decrease", category = "Ins ABRIS AMMS"}, {pressed = iCommandPlane_ABRIS_Axis_Increase, name = "ABRIS Axis Increase", category = "Ins ABRIS AMMS"},
19. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to think this, but who reckons Thrustmaster will finally get round to releasing an 'add on' for the Warthog in the shape of a Hornet stick for the Warthog? We know the F-15c is also getting 'an upgrade' (the stick is virtually the same as the Hornet) Thrustmaster could cover both bases with the 'hornet stick' I'd buy it without a shadow of a doubt!
20. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is with the 'awards' crash. and it's a case of swapping one line in me_debriefing. HiJack, you're gonna have to be a bit more specific mate. So far, the mod has properly updated the logbook for every mission I've flown. I've attached the 'fixed' me_debriefing.lua file to this post. could people try it out and let me know? me_debriefing.lua
21. Oof. 450 euros plus shipping. Nice review btw. Looks like an extremely well made piece of hardware. If it was 250 id probably be tempted. But 450 gets me another warthog and combat pedals! Ill pass for now.
22. Hi, I'm not usually one to post stuff without any research but I wouldn't really know where to start with this, my electronics skills are severely lacking! While I'm more than happy with my recent purchase, I feel the pots in the Saitek Combat Rudder pedals are letting me down. I know my way around a Soldering Iron... ;) So how hard would it be to swap out the crappy pots for some Hall Sensor action? Cheers! Ebs.
